He didn't have to change it, nor can a person remember every fucking second of their life. Most of the time Karl makes a good point, which Ricky and Steve usually can't follow. Not this time though. As Steve points out, it's just an utter lack of imagination on Karl's part.

It's genuinely heartbreaking to think there's a timeline where Karl Pilkington died as a child from choking on an 'ice pop' and we never got to see this incredible man and his unique way of looking at life.
