@@willgreig4077 his market last time was nonexistent. And you would be overpaying for age 36 onward. He’s also already on a prove-it deal and still hasn’t proven anything. No reason for it to be talked about prematurely. His age with an extension alone should probably be a no.
Fantastic early draft analysis as usual. My wishlist is high picks spent on the nastiest O linemen we can find. Agree with you on Nussmeier. He has an NFL arm and can make the reads. Not sexy but someone a team could win games with.
Great video, thanks. Can we start showing Stone Forsythe some love. He took a lot of abuse last year some deservedly, some not so much. But you can't ask for much more of a 3rd string RT than some average to decent play and to go completely unnoticed.
Lions look fine but not overly impressive at this point. They squeaked out a win against the Rams where Goff played poorly and then lost to the Bucs last week before having a good game this week against Arizona. I'd say we are an even match except they will be at home and they have Aiden Hutchinson who could be a terror against out line.
The big money extensions to Goff, Tua, Lawrence and Jones all look disastrous at this moment in time. Jones sucks. Lawrence really sucks and it sounds like he is about to be benched. Giving that contract to Tua with his injuries and ugly looking concussions was myopic at best. The Seahawks need to wait to extend Geno until the last possible moment. There would not be mant teams lining up to poay Geno 40+ Million per year
Tua's case is unfortunate because he's played well when not injured and without him playing point guard to Hill, Waddle and Achane, their Maserati of an offense doesn't move. Lawrence's deal was foolish from a mile away. He had a nice 6 game mirage 2 seasons ago and even in his come-from-behind playoff win, he threw 4 interceptions in the first half. Jones sucks and Dak's contract is making most Cowboy fans depressed. The difference between Geno and those guys is that Geno has performed well despite facing the highest pressure rate in the league. All of his underlying metrics are top tier. He's proven that he's a high-quality QB that's worth extending even at 40 mil+.
@@jimralston4789his underlying metrics may indeed be top tier. His boring old fashioned counting stats are not. To the degree you are a Geno fan because he's our qb I get the idea of an extension. We havent had a good oline since 2014.
@@iron_bison Counting stats are the laziest possible way to measure production. On a per play basis last year the Seahawks were top 10, almost top 5 in efficiency gaining almost 6 yards per play but they had the fewest offensive snaps in the league thanks to the defense never getting off the field and Pete wanting to force the running game when it wasnt working. On top of the Oline was a sieve, especially on 3rd downs giving up QB pressures on half of every 3rd down pass play. Despite that, Geno performed remarkably well so that is why he is worth the money. Very few but the elite QBs could win 9 games the last two years in those conditions.
@@jimralston4789even against our weak schedules? It really wasn’t that impressive. Better qb’s could have at least done that. He is a good (right now a pretty good qb). He is not elite. Maybe I am alone, but I am not impressed with Shenanigans as a head coach because I don't like how he manages games and what he did to DK makes him a bastard for life to me. I am with you on Geno, I think he's playing great right now he does that every year for a period of time, I want to see it for a whole season. He's an elite thrower and athlete though and we could do a whole lot worse. I would really like to see us extend him, if he plays consistently, and also draft a QB. Howell just isn't good enough, maybe he develops.
@@romeoa5782 he has choked every year. It's been 3 decades since the 49ers haven't choked away a super bowl and all he does is continue the trend. Kyle chokes consistently. As stated, he's also a douche.
Thanks for the solo game 3 follow up; and especially the prospect updates and breakdowns. Great stuff.
There just shouldn’t be any talk of extending Geno Smith. He still has another year under contract and it’s only been 3 games.
Fair but there is an argument that based on his play in Grubbs offense the Hawks could consider striking while his value is still relatively low

great stuff
4-0 here we go!
Excellent work Rob
Week 3 of Jim Mora I started saying fire Mora.
Lol ya i remember that... so long ago now!!
Thanks Rob.
I know it's crazy but I rather bring Phil Haynes back then play Tomlinson and Bradford I don't remember Haynes being this disastrous
31 games played. 13 starts. In five seasons. Is why you don't remember him being this disastrous.
@@iron_bison I know that I meant last year lol
@@36090pburkei'm just joking around. The oline is getting to be a real big blind spot for John.
Thanks!
Thank you Ian, really appreciate that!
Im so happy we got a new age offense.....Shane Waldron is the Gus Bradley of offensive schemes. VANILLLLLLLLA
Honestly hawks need to take it game by game and not get ahead of themselves.
Great video, thanks.

Let’s gooo Hawks
Lions will be a big challenge. We have beat them before though, so it isn’t impossible. Maybe 25% chance?

He has made it to 3 straight NFC Championships with not elite Quarterback talent. Our Seahawks have not even won a playoff game in that period.
