Geno will not get an offer as starter anywhere else and no chance he would return to backup in Seattle. He is either the cut and resigned bridge for the Seahawks next year or he backs up an often hurt QB elsewhere, Miami etc
Unpopular opinion but I’ll throw it out there. Fields for 10/15 mil and get another 2 guys on the OLine for 15/20 each ie 50+ instead of Gino. Draft a young guy knowing he needs time. We need to get this OLine fixed. Any young qb will die so no point wasting a 1st. The cap is our main issue and that is surely the GM “teams” fault
@ if they can’t throw the ball they need to be able to run around a bit behind this shocking line. Might be better with a mobile qb like Eagles, Bills, KC, the better ones, uno 🎉🎉
@ he’s not a quarterback. And he’s now failed at two places. They need to make the line better. That’s the part that isn’t debatable. Let’s not waste money on guys like that.
@ just trying to think of a serviceable guy who doesn’t cost money. I don’t really want a bum but if Flacco etc can run an offence with an OLine we should look to do something similar while we cut money on players to put into the OLine. A running guy just helps hide a bad OLine and Fields did an above average job the first few Steelers games. It’s not Fields specific but a mobile guy helps hide the OLine
@ no, I get your thinking: what can the team do to mitigate how bad the line could still be next year. I think they will just stick with Howell and have the rookie try to best him out. They really need to sign or get two veteran o-linemen that are plus. It’s so bad that John will have to take drastic measures.
I really wish people like you would just bore off. Nobody wants to hear from you. We're having a detailed, relevant discussion about a team that is 1-5 in their last six games. If we're 'the sky is falling crew' then you're the 'not adult enough to be able to have intellectual discussion about football' group. All you ever do is complain about people having different opinions to you -- and you're so intellectually incapable of debating back so you just resort to slurs, thinking it'll substitute for a coherent argument. It doesn't. You are just really, really boring.

Nothing intellectual about you ready to blow up everything after losing to the rams when we are 4-5 in a wide open division. Particularly when we see real improvements. There’s nothing the rams or the giants did to beat us. WE BEAT OURSELVES. We play two cleaner games this team is 6-3. But please tell me again how you’re intellectual in your next highlighted response.

No. We need a qb, not a running back. I wouldn’t even bring him in for 1 mil.
