    Got mine a couple of months ago in .357mag. Absolutely love it. Rossi has really turned it around. Great clip mate.

    Congrats on the new lever gun! Looks like a shooter. I like that darker stain they’re using on the new ones 👍🏻

      When I opened it up the other day I was hoping it was good wood and it was.

    I have the 20" stainless .44 magnum. They are the most bang for the buck on a lever gun nowadays. Thanks for the video

    Got mine in 357 octagon 24" 4 months ago and love it. The bluing ,wood and the fit and finish are wonderful ,Rossi has stepped there game up.I will be buying another in a different caliber this year when they import more.

    You'll have a blast with it, Josh! I have a blued one in 45 Colt that has been a ton of fun - it has appeared in a few videos.

    Definitely beautiful. Understandable why they’ve become so popular

    I still want a 454 Version!!

      Thanks. Oh yeah 454 big boom 💥

      I got the 454. It has the recoil pad. Which is a good thing. That gun is slappy and jump happy. Full house loads with 260-300 grains are something else. We’ve taken a bull moose with a shot through and through and one holding up in the neck after crossing 24” of moose. Great energy.
      But for practical use and deer hunting I’d say 45 colt loaded hot is plenty.

      @@albertaoutdoors9220 IIRC, I have only taken 3 animals with a 454. All expired just as fast as the couple dozen my 45 Colt firearms have.
      A Moose huh that's awesome!!

    Leave the carbine on your shoulder and up while you cycle it = it will allow you to shoot a lot faster. I just bought one of the blued versions of this and it's super nice. I shot cowboy action 15+ years ago for several years which as you know, is all about rapid shooting. Good to see you handloading! It's the best way to go if you want to be able to shoot any kind of quantity... good vid! Thanks!

    I love the Rossi's...I have the .357 and .44...love both of them. I have divorced myself from the .45...sold all of my bullet molds and guns with the exception of 1 revolver. But, I do love the 92's.

    This would go perfectly with a Ruger Blackhawk in .45 Colt!

    I like that stock. I sanded mine down and refinished it with a walnut stain. When you run out of Unique, get some Hodgdon Universal. It meters better and burns cleaner as long as you keep the pressure up. I use it for almost all of my mid velocity loads.

    • @243Outdoors
      @243Outdoors  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’ll keep the Universal in mind. Picked up a few pounds of unique so I should be good for a while.

    I just picked up one in 44 mag. It shoots really good. I did do a safety delete and put a marbles bullseye sight on it. I will be taking it out next weekend for an Iowa whitetail.

    30 years ago I got a Model 94 lever action and it drove me crazy that I couldn't see how to clean it other than the bore. I load 250 grain RNFP, I'd love to have that as a home defense weapon.

    Thank you for saying 45 Colt. So many ignorant individuals would have said 45 Long Colt, a cartridge that does not exist.

    • @eggbert191
      @eggbert191 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      45 long colt was the the us military designation for 45 colt to differentiate from the 45 Smith and Wesson which was also being used.

    • @jamesmusisca7547
      @jamesmusisca7547 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      are they saying long colt because it's longer than the 45ACP ? i don't know

    • @tyr200
      @tyr200 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@jamesmusisca7547the .45 Colt was referred to as the .45 “Long” Colt because the .45 Schofield came into US service which was a shorter round. if my memory serves me correct.

    • @243Outdoors
      @243Outdoors  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@243Outdoors just got my 16” blued .357 in a few days ago. I love it so far. Good wood and pretty smooth action. I actually sold my Henry big boy brass with 20” octagon barrel to get the Rossi. It was 8.6 lbs instead of the 5lbs on the Rossi

    • @angrytrek
      @angrytrek 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I guess my hand was forced a bit given Henry's are pretty rare here in Australia. I saw the new Rossi in our local shop and as soon as I saw it I bought it. Absolutely no regrets. A really nice rifle that shoots great. I doubt you'll be disappointed in the Rossi.

    I have a 44 magnum black hawk revolver and a 45 long colt vaquero 🤠 I’m trying to decide which caliber I want to get my lever action in to match or get a 3030

    • @anthonygalliart1789
      @anthonygalliart1789 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @jonoxthomascito6516 You can't go wrong with the .44 mag. It's better to have more power than you need then find out you didn't have quite enough with .45 long colt. The 30-30 is better for longer ranges but having one box of ammo feed both your pistol and rifle is a blessing. The 30-30 ammo is as expensive as 30-06 Springfield .308 Winchester a lot of the time and why spend that much on a 200 yard gun when you can have a 400 or 600 yard gun. For hunting in tall dark tember the .44 mag will get the job done. Happy hunting
