There is no better live track than this. Something really special about this band and of all the early 90’s UK bands their music has held up better than any others.
I've always like the ethos of Shoegaze. It's never forcing external opinions or emotions on you. Instead, it creates a spacey, encapsulated atmosphere which allows you to escape the world and think for yourself.
Oh my God this is amazing. Can you imagine any other band keeping people’s attention for this long? I love Swervedriver. The only band I know where the songs get better every single time.
Vox wah. Franklin’s always been a fan of the Voxes (he used them in the 90’s at least, so the recorded version is most definitely a Vox, maybe he uses something else now)
Where did those lyrics come from he added. "Don't let me hear you say I've taken you nowhere, angel" sounds like a Bob Dylan line but can't put my finger on it.
Just clarifying, not nitpicking, but whether or not Adam is slurring/droning or mispronouncing, Bowies lyrics are actually "Don't let me hear you say life's taken you nowhere, angel". Still doesn't matter tho, I love all their live versions of Duress. BTW, Adam is one of the nicest musicians I've met. Chatted with him and Jimmy for 1st time in Green Bay in 98, then a few years later in Chicago in '08 when Jez was drumming (Jimmy actually remembered getting take out pizza with us in Green Bay), then a few more times in Chicago (2011) and Madison ('15). After the show in Madison, we shot the sh.t for at least 30 min. Signed my vinyl copy of Raise. The venue actually kicked us out, so we all went out for smokes on the patio. Talked forever in the chilly Madison chilly spring air. This is why SwD has always been one of my favorites, not only because of their music, but because they are humble and down to earth as well.

Graham Bonnar on the drums!
I wish they would do an album with this lineup. Their best bass player and their best drummer
