hi Nat, wonderful video! I visited Laos in 2001, it was such a nice experience, would love to visit again. Also Savannakhet and Pakse. Greetings from Holland!
Hi there, thanks for the greeting. 2001 wow! Must be so different back then. I came to Luang Prabang in 2005 and compared to now it's very different. I come you will come visit Laos again soon😊
@@natnomad thank you Nat :) back then I also visited luang prabang: it ended up being one of my favorite places I ever visited in South East Asia. I don't dare to imagine how it has changed, especially the main street with all the cute wooden Lao and colonial houses. Did you know in my language the name of the Lao currency, 'kip', means chicken! So I always had to chuckle when spending and counting my money D
Another great video! We haven't been to Pakse in several years. It was 44 degrees! So hot! Take care and stay safe from the intense heat. All the best to you!
Thank you. Yes, the heat was unbearable. The early evening walk along the Mekong river was nice with the breeze. What a lovely. I'm so glad to see it again after the Covid.
Pakse is by far my third favorite is in Laos. I didn't like it when I first came. Then, after spending more and more time, I fell in love with it. Chill and laid back vibe
🙏 ສະບາຍດີ! Well, I recently had my motorcycle trip from Cambodia-Lao. It is a wonderful experience. I had visited Pakse, Paksong, Salavan, Sovannakhet, Vientiane, Vang vieng, & Luang Prabang. I missed out one place from my list, Phonsovan; hopefully going back one day.
Wow, what a dream. I've always wanted to do that, my last attempt failed when I reached Muang La haha. I'll try again when the weather gets cooler. You're so brave.
@@natnomad Yeah, the hot weather was terrible; and also it was bad timing because it was burning season as you mentioned in your videos. Anyway, I thought that I just took the opportunity of Sangkran holiday to see your country, Lao. You’ve got great contents. You can do it! 👏
Now that Gordon Ramsay has crowned Laos the nr 1 culinary destination you should do a pure Food tour. Every local specialty covered :D. Apparently Vietnam was no2 so you can do some detours there.
I thought you are Asian Australian 😅 Never knew you are Laotian. Anyway, I think Laos is one of the last Asian frontier like Bhutan, Nepal or Uzbekistan. It seems so mystery and full of surprise.
My first clip watching you! U said u r a real Lao & living in Laos ( Luangprabang ) as well. How come your English is perfect? I need to watch more of your video clips to find out I guess. Cheers! See ya! 😎😋😎
Thank you for your compliment. Big smile here🙂. Back in the day when I was a monk, i was very lucky because this guy from the USA came to my temple in Luang Prabang and he set up free English class where i studied with him for 8 months. That's where i picked my accent🙂 Thanks for following my adventure. I hope you are enjoying it🙏
Hi ..Currently At Savannakhet… wanting to go Pakse tomorrow . In the video.u took mini van. Where did u take? How’s the frequency? I was at the bus terminal and it stated 7 am and17.30pm. But I have heard horrible story of taking bus.
I took at the same bus station where I arrived. I can't remember how often but I believe it's every hour. Please have a look at the video in Pakse, I explained about it at the beginning of the video
@@natnomad Thank you brother. Yesterday when I arrived at Savan bus terminal from Thakhet (by mini van) I asked and was told only bus at 7am n 17.30pm. Following your journey brings back so many sweet memories of my time spent in Laos last year.

Southern Laos has many beautiful waterfalls. The most famous is the Khone Falls that famous chef Gordon Ramsay has filmed there.
I thought of going there many times. Hopefully someday
