    Quick feedback.
    1. It makes my "continue" light up on the title screen if I have no saves. (Minor annoyance.)
    2. It makes my save/load screen REALLY slow/laggy. (Processor usage goes way up.)
    3. Can you add an option to delete your "Super Tools Save"?
    4. Can you have the notetags box pull in the current notetags for a given item when you select it?
    5. Can we have a "reset" button for everything? Especially windows! I was playing around with my options menu and now it's not centered anymore... and I'll never sleep until it's perfectly centered again...

      I have updated the plugin to fix the first 3 issues!
      The fourth thing wouldn't work well since there would be no effective way to have the changes be visible back in the original RPG Maker program. >.<
      If you wish to reset your Menus, simply delete the "Windows.json" file from the /data/ folder.
      Same applies for "DataEX.json" and "Notes.json".

      Well it would at least save some copy and paste effort. Not a big deal though! :D Honestly I don't want it to overwrite the information in the main program in case I want to fall back to it.

    HOW WAS THIS NOT INCLUDED IN THE ENGINE FROM THE GET GO?!?!
    It always blows me away when someone comes along and adds a feature that should have been included with the actual product, making it infinitely better!

    For anyone still finding that F12 opens Chrome Developer tools instead of the Super Tools Engine... Open the plugin in a code/text editor and find the line " if(event.keyCode === 123) " and change the keyCode to 122 instead. That should use F11 instead of F12. Also, amazingly great plugin. Thank you. :)

      It only works as well as he made it when you don't do a dumb thing I did and totally overlook ALL of the folders except for the image ones. I made every single folder and then realized they were already right there! DOI WOLF! LOL

    about the conflict with F12, you need to open the plugin in a text editor, search for 123 (F12 key in JavaScript), and change to any other key (F =70 | F7 = 118 | Home = 36 | Plus+ = 107), and disable the Auto Move in the plugin options.

    Ok. I was wondering for about a month now how to make an editor for my game. First I went with 3rd party tools, but making them was hazy and very long and slow, and dev iterations are kinda slow too. So it was a no go. Then I saw HyperLight Drifter's GDC conference where they showed their HLD editor that is basically an in-game editor. Check it out on GDC Vault. I wanted the exact same, but as I'm using Construct 2 it was a lot more complicated than using Game Maker, especially when dealing with modularity.
    Now I see this. And you probably solved my problem. While I probably won't use your Super Tools Engine any time soon, I will for sure try to replicate it to make my own engine. And props to you for helping me getting this sorted out.

    if you press f12 with the new update of rpg maker 1.6.1 the super tools engine don't open, instead open a developer tool, but its for persons that know java script, can you update this and change the key to f11 or something pleas

    Anyone else notice that the 1.6.1 update seems to break this plugin? Hitting F12 no longer brings up the tool set, but brings up a Chrome debugging window instead.

      I too had this issue. I resolved it by "updating" my project. Meaning, more specifically, creating a new project and copying my assets to the new project. I only copied what I used such as my item data, weapons, armor, actors, the whole img folder, fonts ect... this fixed it for me.

    I've been using the plugin with the YEP plugins suit, in 1080p resolution. If you're like me and want the plugin to show up when pressing F12, go to the Super Tools Engine plugin, and turn all options to false. If you don't do this, the window might pop out of your screen, and you can't ALT TAB to it.

    When I use save and load function on the "on-going battle", to test out the event after the battle finish. When I quick reload. It says "Cannot read property of length of undefined.
    Plus, is it possible to have a function in an "on-going event" to quick save and when I quick load or reload. It stays to that recent event that I save?

    This plugin is fantastic. Been using it for ages since it came out :) I ran into an error though, so is there any way to reset the plugin? On the battle page my computer crashed and it saved while I was in the HUD maker. Basically I can't get into battles with STE turned on.

    Pretty awesome that you've basically made an MV version of Luna Engine that is a lot easier to use!
    Are there plans to include options with the engine to set background images and such? I know individual window images can be set but what about an overall background image?

    Will have to give it a try. Does the debugger work the same as the default debugger, or is it specific to the functions of this plugin only. I just wish someone would solve the issue with resources trying display or be used before the canvas has even had a chance to load. Preloader fixes this for me, except now I've come to the dreaded infinite "loading" screen. Help! (this is mostly to do with show picture).

    is there any way that allows me to change the "Guard" command into something useful?
    instead of guarding and take lesser damage i rather want it to be guarding while restoring HP & MP.
    I've tried to manipulate the skills and states by adding the "HP regeneration" and "Traits = HP Recover" neither these settings got any effect at all.

    Whenever I turn ON Super Tools Engine in the plugin manager, and playtest my game I get:
    Range Error: maximum call stack size exceeded
    How do i fix that? And yes, it’s up to date.
    I also would like to know if it’s possible change the hotkey for Super Tools Engine from F12 to something else?

    Very useful! Will you keep updating these Tools? If so, are you open to
    suggestions?
    The Menu editor in particuar is really nice, but I was
    wondering... So far, it lets us modify the position and size of the
    windows in the menu, but it does not let us create/remove/hide these
    windows, nor modify the things that are displated in them. Could this
    editor eventually be used to not just modify, but also to create new
    menus from scratch, or would that be a huge trouble to implement?
    Also, I want to ask something about the Database Ex (I'll test it myself later, but I want to ask anyways so that, in case the answer is no, my request to make it possible is considered). In the Enemies section of the normal Database thing, it won't allow the user to assign the stats of an enemy to a variable's value. In this Database Ex, is doing that possible? If it isn't, would it be hard to implement?
    Thank you again for this, it will be invaluable for lots of projects.

    I ran into a little problem after adding your recent Options Creator Plugin to my active plugins. Whenever I launch my game, the message says "Maximum call stack size exceeded" and the console says the following:
    RangeError: Maximum call stack size exceeded
    at Function.DataManager.isDatabaseLoaded (/myDirectory/js/plugins/SRD_SuperToolsEngine.js:295)
    (the above 10 times)
    rpg_managers.js:1949 SceneManager.catchException
    What should I do? Where is the error?

    Just came across this, looking to implement the Character Creator EX plugin. Got this added to the top of the plugin manager as requested. When I got to playtest, though, i just error's "failed to load data/notes.json" or "window.json" ... Is there something I missed about this? Is it supposed to create these or what? Any help would be appreciated. thanks.

    this is fantastic. great stuff, found a lot of your tools today. very excited. I appreciate all your efforts. thanks for sharing.
    just a note, for dual display, move the playtest window to the left monitor, then press f12.
    after that you can move the playtest window back to the right monitor and things are OK.
    my main monitor is on the right, and if i hit f12 when the game is on the right monitor the tool never shows up.

    Anyway to turn the "playstester" feature into a real playtester thing?
    I mean, I've got some friend who could help me with debugging and playstesting.
    I'd like to enable access to this tools, in a limited way (no Database Ex, Menu edition, etc.).
    In other words, I'd like to be able to enable and disable feature provided by this plugin, so my testers couldn't do silly thing to my project. Just the playtester and debbuging tools.
    By the way, where did you get facesets? They look very nice!

    Hey SRD!
    So, I managed to make a pretty nifty window. Then I deployed my game for testing, and I've been running into a problem that I can't find the source to.
    Whenever I try to load the menu I've made with the Super Tool Engine, in a deployed project, the game crashes saying "undefined is not a function"
    Just to test, I made a blank project with only the super tool engine and it does the same thing after deploying. :\ I'm not sure what to do.

    The only thing I ask is to control JP and EXP from the give menu. That's it. Oh and this is going into my new data js folder.

    This is very awesome engine, why not giving some features like remove skill, item, weapon, and armor at 7:48 ??

    I don't know if it's revelant, but when you test an event's content with ctrl+R, an error with the message "Failed to load: data/Test_Windows.json" appears. Am I missing something ?

    Out of curiousity, is there any plans on updating this plugin to have "layers" at all - if thats even possible?
    I use this plugin in all my projects, however when I do an overlay on some menu parts, it looks fine in the editor, but once I start playing the game itself it seems to sometimes change what windows on top.
    (ie, I have my "gold" window overlay the bottom corner of my menus main status window to make it more dynamic, but somethings the status window is on top, making the gold window obstructed).
    Was just wondering if there was any plans for this at all?
    Overall, your hud, tools and auto updater are just outstanding. Your tools plugin is already in my newdata folder xD
    My project relies on quite a few of your plugins, so thank you for the excellent quality work. Also love your commentary :P

    so, for some reason whenever I try and open the editor it doesn't work, like, at all.
    I'm using a laptop, if that makes a difference.

      so... I've found the reason. It doesn't come up when 'made with MV' is loaded.
