th-cam.com/video/SbXy0Ib-ZK0/w-d-xo.html It is also a duke 200 2016 which has clocked 1,50,000 km without any engine rebuild Will you stop spreading the wrong information
I said usually i have seen this trend, not every bike will face this, you might know one motorcycle, i have monitored more than 50 motorcycle in my city
The same pampering I've done for my RC200.. almost 4 years but not a single problem except one battery change 2 months ago. Fork seal I clean every week so it didn't give me any problems upto now. I've used it in so many terrains yet it has never proved unreliable. It just asks a bit extra care but its totally worth it!
Hey nice long term update. I have a Duke 200 that I got in March 2016. I have done lots of tours and commutes and put on 50000 kms so far. I haven't faced any major issues. The fork seals have gone four times. The rear suspension went once. The engine head gasket got changed once under warranty. The stator coil had to be changed twice but that's because I have put extra lights on it. No engine problems whatsoever. The power is still just as good at 50000 kms. Chain sprocket was changed once at 18000 kms and once at 40000 kms. If we change the oil within 3500-4000 kms the engine stays smooth and problem free. Additionally about the clutch cable being loose I'm facing this problem on a new R15 V3 as well. Turns out the cable length was too long. Changing it solved the problem.
5:23 The alloys cracking in intial batch of KTM's was because of the painting processes used, and only the Orange painted ones were affected. So your alloys should be safe from that issue.
I too own a KTM duke200 2012 model, still working fine, not much of expense thou, I service & maintain it myself. It is still the most powerful 200cc bike in it's class with excellent acceleration, just loving it .
I had that same color and same year model and I purchased it on 7 Sept, 2016 and I sold it off because if you want this bike to remain healthy all the time, then you have to spend a lot of money. An apache's shell life is much more than KTM and Bajaj's one. The constant tickling noise because of valve clearance, sound getting thinner when bike heats up, low availability of spare parts and rude behaviour of service center forced me to sell my beloved bike and I rode it 25K kms and never got my any oil seal broken 😜
Hey Brother, I have May 2015 model KTM RC 390. By GOD'S grace I haven't changed the Metzler's tyres nor the battery. But yes I have changed the front suspension fork seal and oil, radiator fan once and Air filter box under warranty. Bass itna hi. It's running smoothly. Even I have taken care of my motorcycle as a brand new and kept fully stock condition. Stay safe, blessed and ride safe !
Nice video. KTMs are not goog for long term usage no matter how you keep them. I had an RC 390. Bought it in 2015. Sold it in 2018. The acceleration had dropped significantly (like it took a second and a half more to reach 160) but only noticable to experienced riders. The acceleration was choppy and the mechanic was pretty sure the bike needed a valve clearance job. After I sold it, the guy who bought it literally had to go for an engine overhaul. Bought an R3. It still goes to 175 in 5th gear without any fuss. Not as ferociously as the KTM but same as the first day. But ya, miss that acceleration of the KTM 😁
@@gowild4826 ninja 300 if you have deep pockets for the service cost. Else the 650 twins. Once you switch to a twin, there's no going back to a single unless you need one for city commute.
Lol i also bought duke 200 in August 2016 Edit:- Problems i have faced till now:- 1- front and rear shocker oil leak 2- tyre rutting 3- Radiator fan jam 4- front chain sprocket teeth bend Major repairs i have done:- 1- both seat cushion changed 2- bought second hand meter because the first one got stolen from my bike in parking. Its very easy to remove the meter so always park your bike in safe places.
I FULLY AGREED 👍 with your point about KTM Duke's ENGINE High compression ratio. Which gives out IT'S REAL FUN only with REVVING. Yeah... it's a REVVING MACHINE. And it's life span doesn't last long as other long lasting bikes eg. Like YAMAHA bikes ( whose engine reliable is well famous around the world). You can also take example of YAMAHA FZ25.. It's not a very high revving machine BUT it's initial is GREAT meanwhile sacrificing it's Topend. 😅🤪 So, my point is it's engine would LIVE LONGER period of time. And This was the MAIN REASON of choosing it as my bike....🥰❤️ I loved to commute within city and whenever I wanted to have some FUN WITH SPEED in traffics. It's initial acceleration response just shoot me out LIKE A BULLET...( I Don't ride mostly on highways. So, TOPEND doesn't matter for me.😁
I have the 2015 Nov model till date no major problem only last year the coolant was getting mixed in the engine oil then got the water pump seal replaced. Cain sprocket was replaced at 13k kms. Just change the engine oil at 6k kms don't wait till 7500 and adjust the chain every 2k kms you will not face any problem then
Yes, stunt is an art, faltu cheez was not for stunts if its portraying like that in the video, faltu cheez se i meant ki unnecessarily rev, 3-4 logo ko bike pe baithana, time se service na karwana in sab se tha
