Must have such a temptation to call it Badgerchef or Burping with Badger. You come across really well, the kitchen looks just right as a stage and great choice of openers. Hope a massive subscriber base comes your way 👍
Man... Makes me want to try man hand at yorkshire pudding. But that oil pump though! Had me rolling on the floor laughing. Cheers and thanks for sharing.
Absolutely love Toad in the hole. Brings back childhood winter memories. Do you grow your own shallots? I made Hubs some trough planters on stands so he didn't have to bend to low, he grew shallots and they just keep going, year after year.
Looks lushious! My mum used to make them with sausage meat from the butcher, rolled into balls for the toads. It still surprises me when I see sausages in them! But still lovely this way.
this looks really good! i love the idea of the oil can for the oil!!!!!!!! i'm off down to the shed to find an old oil can to do the same. (joking but will buy a new one !) thanks
Looks delicious! I really love Toad in the Hole, you've inspired me to make some soon. Love the oil can - a quirky change from the usual drizzle bottles!
That looked delicious Matt, proper comfort food with a lovely thick gravy. Got to say you cracked me up when you pulled the oilcan out, totally crazy but also extremely practical. I'm going to have to get one now. 😅
Ausie todd in a hole is a slice of white bread, cut a round hole in a frying pan on the bbq, crack in an egg, and fry both sides, ps fry the cores aswell like round toast.
Where I come from in Yorkshire, there are prison sentences for the amount of gravy served there 😂 We like such meals swimming in the stuff! Food looked really tasty though, you just got a new subscriber 😊
Oh! Now I know what Toad In The Hole is. I am loving this channel. I bet that shallot gravy is delicious. I have questions, but I am going to restrict myself to one. Is that a standard vegetable oil can or is that a Matt-repurpose-invention? The sounds in this video were great.
Great start to the channel Matt - the copper pipe with the hooks for utensils looks pretty good . . . will you be branding the channel with your favourite animal?
Really liking your new cooking channel! Makes me want to go in the kitchen and start cooking a big meal. Do you think you’ll do any seafood/fish recipes? My wife & I are pescatarian and always on the hunt for great new dishes.
Batter recipe looks great, Matt, but there seems to be so much of it left over. Does it just not work so well if you try and make a smaller quantity? I would only need one today of TITH, like your larger one.
Hi Matt, only one question, what time do I come over for dinner? And my only other comment, I did not see you taste tedt the wine before you pourec it into the pot, again I wish you all the best for the new channel, best regards from a Kiwi living in Australia
Ahhhhh… so THAT’s where I’ve been going wrong. I’ve always assumed having to use all the batter the recipes yield and have always drowned the sausages and wondered why I never get a really puffed up pudding. But no, less is clearly more! 😂
Depends if you like light and crispy or soggy and dense - there’s a place for both in my book! Perfect when the base is soggy and the top is crispy, my fave combo!

You thought woodworking gained opinionated comments on TH-cam, but I wanna see the gravy troll comments!
As a woodworker and a home cook, I'm loving this channel and the videos are so well done, (Food looks delicious)
Thank you very much
Another “as a…” comment - I just enjoy the channel, my background is irrelevant really, and most of us cook at home to ya’ know, survive!
I wasn't hungry until I started watching. excellent vid.

I have never tried growing them but would like to give it a go
Toad in the hole, mince pies, what more could a man ask for !!! Grand job 😊😊
Nice format and pace. I'm tempted to try both recipes so far!
Thank you
I'm not the cooking type, but subbed anyway cause I like your ww-channel and yourself as a person, I will tune in once and awhile ;-)
Oh man. Just came in from gigging. Freezing cold outside. Just watched this. I'm bloody starvin'.
Gonna make this tomorrow.
Excellent as always.
Thank you. Hope you enjoy it

can tell your background is a chef no one else would quenelle their mash lol
I enjoyed that , a slight change from the wood working , but certainly worth while. Thank You,
Thank you
What a great recipe. One of my all time favourites and the onion gravy accompaniment is actually the law!
Watching you cooking before lunch is a bit like going to the supermarket hungry. Great video but I've eaten too much now. Love the new channel.
Thank you very much
Just finished eating, and now you have made me hungry again!!
Haha I’m sorry

Delicious. Your new channel has a very professional feel to it and I really like the aesthetic. A joy to watch.
Thank you. Much appreciated
That looks wonderful!
Thank you
Yummy, looks delicious Matt. Love the use of the oil can, surely it can't be 3 in 1 oil :)
No that’s too expensive
Proper food, drooling here! 😂😂
Thank you
Ooh, that made me feel hungry Matt, love toad in the hole 👍
Thank you. Me to
Loving the oil can! Track saw for cutting chips next?
Haha that would speed it up
Very nice!
Thank you
As a suggestion, maybe flash up the ingredients on the screen as you're adding them. Great work Matt

Binging with Badger. That looks damn tasty Matt, might have to have a go at home.
Thank you
Excellent video as always. Where did you get the oil can dispenser? Keep up the good work.
Thank you. It’s just an oil can from a local diy store
Ooh I might have to make that tonight
Hope you enjoy it
6 eggs! I love to see different takes on pudding batter, my grandma taught me a recipe with 1 egg but she was a renowned cheapskate lol
It’s a lot but seems to work well

It is a oil can like one I use in the workshop. I thought it would be funny.
😋
That looks yummy... Even for a Norwegian 😂
Ill have to try to make that.
Keep up the good work.
Thank you
Great start to the channel Matt - the copper pipe with the hooks for utensils looks pretty good . . . will you be branding the channel with your favourite animal?
I’m keeping badgers away from this one

Loving this channel keep it up. Last time I did this it came out like toads stuck on leather 😂
Thank you. Yorkshire puddings do take a bit of perfecting
I like the camera work Matt, must take ages to change the angles etc but it does look really professional like a proper cooking show.
Thank you very much
Love the oil can 😁
Haha thank you

Come on Matt... That is too delicious looking... Bob (Weston super Mare)
Thanks Bob
Just when you thought you couldn’t have anything more in common it Matt at badger workshop he makes the best dish known to man
I agree. It’s the best dish
So can we try a Cheese Potato and Onon pie, school dinner style? or if you ARE FEELING ADVENTEROUS a Tornadeos Rosiini!
Ahhhhh… so THAT’s where I’ve been going wrong. I’ve always assumed having to use all the batter the recipes yield and have always drowned the sausages and wondered why I never get a really puffed up pudding. But no, less is clearly more! 😂
Yes you don’t need too much of the batter.
Depends if you like light and crispy or soggy and dense - there’s a place for both in my book! Perfect when the base is soggy and the top is crispy, my fave combo!
An oiling can for cooking oil! Brilliant! I next want to see you use your drill with a whisk attachment 😂
I have done that before. Works great
Great video
Just thinking as you are a fully qualified chef you could do a run of videos for people like me who burns water 😂
Haha I’m sure your not that bad
Dam Matt, you'll make someone a lovely wife.
That looks delicious.
I'm considering making my family paella. But I've never done it before. Any tips?
Thank you. I will one day.
I have not made one in years. But I remember you should not stir. You want a nice crappy base
@@KitchenRamblings-in5py 🤣 as oxymorons go - this is top. Or am I just being a crusty old dude....
But Matt… 6 eggs?!
The golden rule, don’t open the oven! Never a truer word said!
Great content and so easy to follow.
Thank you
