    You thought woodworking gained opinionated comments on TH-cam, but I wanna see the gravy troll comments!

      Another “as a…” comment - I just enjoy the channel, my background is irrelevant really, and most of us cook at home to ya’ know, survive!

    Must have such a temptation to call it Badgerchef or Burping with Badger. You come across really well, the kitchen looks just right as a stage and great choice of openers. Hope a massive subscriber base comes your way 👍

    Man... Makes me want to try man hand at yorkshire pudding. But that oil pump though! Had me rolling on the floor laughing. Cheers and thanks for sharing.

    Absolutely love Toad in the hole. Brings back childhood winter memories. Do you grow your own shallots? I made Hubs some trough planters on stands so he didn't have to bend to low, he grew shallots and they just keep going, year after year.

    Looks lushious! My mum used to make them with sausage meat from the butcher, rolled into balls for the toads. It still surprises me when I see sausages in them! But still lovely this way.

    Got to say you cracked me up when you pulled the oilcan out, totally crazy but also extremely practical. I'm going to have to get one now. 😅

    Ausie todd in a hole is a slice of white bread, cut a round hole in a frying pan on the bbq, crack in an egg, and fry both sides, ps fry the cores aswell like round toast.

    Oh! Now I know what Toad In The Hole is. I am loving this channel. I bet that shallot gravy is delicious. I have questions, but I am going to restrict myself to one. Is that a standard vegetable oil can or is that a Matt-repurpose-invention? The sounds in this video were great.

    Batter recipe looks great, Matt, but there seems to be so much of it left over. Does it just not work so well if you try and make a smaller quantity? I would only need one today of TITH, like your larger one.

    Ahhhhh… so THAT’s where I’ve been going wrong. I’ve always assumed having to use all the batter the recipes yield and have always drowned the sausages and wondered why I never get a really puffed up pudding. But no, less is clearly more! 😂

    • @KitchenRamblings-in5py
      @KitchenRamblings-in5py  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes you don’t need too much of the batter.

    • @X22GJP

      Depends if you like light and crispy or soggy and dense - there’s a place for both in my book! Perfect when the base is soggy and the top is crispy, my fave combo!
