This is by far my favorite controller. I love the customizability of this controller. However I have replaced this controller 5 times so far for the same reason the bumper. After about 5 months (give or take) the bumper works only half the time or requires me to smash the button for it to work. I use this primarily for apex legends. For the series 3 I believe a mouse click of both the bumpers and triggers would make it the most ideal controller.
Hey this is an old comment, but does Microsoft fix these if you send them back or something? A ton of my buttons are starting to die and actually be delayed to the point its gotten me killed in games
@@skate2freak898 Depends if you are in warranty period or not. It comes with 1 year warranty but it's recommended to get the 3 year warranty for 20 more dollars from Microsoft.

It feels great in my hands but when I'm playing with the wire in it cuts off constantly, like most players nowadays I play lots of fps games so a controller that cuts off isn't ideal.
It's an amazing controller but my sticks are drifting terribly! My dead zone is .30 on rocket league! And my left bumper is pretty much broken. I have to press it extremely hard for it to work. I have had it for a few months past a year.

I have the original Xbox elite controller it lasted about a year before the RB buttons started breaking and LB button started breaking but I bought a series 2 elite controller and now I have a problem with stick drift oh my left joystick also my RB button does not work every time I push it so I don't know if I need to just take it apart and try to clean it but this time it's pretty bad because I've only had it a little over a year and I haven't even used it much I bought it to go with my Xbox series X but I'm having problems with it and the rubber cushion on the side is already starting to come unglued where it meets the top part of the cushion. And I do not abuse my controller I keep it in the case it comes with I take care of it so I don't know I don't know why I have problems with the elite Series controllers when it works I love it great controller but for $200 it should last more than a year seems like it breaks right about the time the warranty runs out how convenient Microsoft
Don’t get me wrong I love the series 2 Xbox controller, it just need one change to make it perfect. The controller needs replaceable analog sticks. Iv used two series 2 controller both of them In Warzone I can only get the analog sticks set down to a 0.10 any lower and you get stick drift so there’s a big dead spot. If I compare this to my thrustmaster Eswap S pro I can get the analog sticks set way down to 0.01 with no stick drift , Making the controller so much more responsive and more accurate. Though the back buttons on the Xbox controller are 100% better compared to the Eswap S pro. If I could have the analog sticks from the Thrustmaster and the back buttons from the Xbox controller and the build Quality from the Xbox controller it would be the perfect controller. Maybe for the series 3 controller we could have replaceable analog sticks as I personally think replaceable sticks is the way to go.

Take it to Walmart say you forgot ur receipt and just bought it last week then say you just want to exchange it you don’t want cash and most of the time as long as you don’t get an asshole worker they will exchange it for a new one

You gotta dust your controller bro. They made it easy to take apart and clean. It's not broke it's just dirty bro.
I want a controller that isnt made from cheap plastic, where hinges break, button pads wear out, or joysticks drift...

Just make one of the paddles your shoot button and one of the paddles your steal or block button. That’s really about it.

I've found if you squeeze it too hard it will turn off.
