Read the manual they do so much more then you'd expect. It's crazy. I've had them for over a year and recently sat my buns down and figured out so much more.
I've been using Testo products for years , mainly because we don't have Fieldpiece readily available here and we're neighbouring Germany ( Testo is a german brand ) . From what I understand , Testo kinda went the Fluke route , in that they seem to focus a lot on the RnD , they focus mainly on the internals and the accuracy of the sensors , but they kinda cheap out on the externals , the packaging and the accessories just like Fluke does . Still I like their probes , they seem to be pretty accurate and the 2nd gen have improved Bluetooth range . My employer provides us with the 557 manifolds , they're pretty good to be fair , but I don't like manifolds anyway so I mainly use the probes . The one product I would really really wanna have is the vaccum gauge the 552i . Hvac overtime wohoooo 🥳
Thanks for doing the review on these two new testo's. I get what you're saying about the vacuum decay. Could be that the Accu tools uses a logarithmic scale for the graph, this may use a linear scale for the graph.
Me too!!! And man are they small. But they really do serve more than that. I use the Job Link for distance. But I use the testo for IAQ. Testo has the market cornered on IAQ and air flow. Fieldpiece cant compete on that front. In another ten years, if Fieldpiece dont keep their lead w/things like distance w/connectivity and ease of use, theyre gonna get swallowed up by testo.
I'm using just Testo probes with apps (no manifold) and works seamlessly with MeasureQuick. I would expect these new gauges to get the same functionality.

I agree 100% with your idea about tools/testers being intuitive enough that you shouldn't need to read a manual to figure them out. If the designers do their job correctly the features and functions should be effortlessly accessible to an average user.
Over the years I've wanted to like Testo stuff but I just don't like them. Bought a 557 and while it worked fine ended up only using it a few times, finally took it off the truck and its still in the office in the case. Kinda a shame since its basically new. Been happy with the Fieldpiece probes I got last season along with the scale its what I'm stuck with

....and they finally got all the important values on ONE SCREEN like the SMAN now - that's what I never liked about the Testo - and why I stuck with SMAN's. Glad to see Testo making good changes.
@@scrambler350 Yeah, they are. I feel like there are still some bugs to work out. Like rite now for instance, I'm scouring the internet searching for how to change the measuring values=changing C to F and MBAR to PSI etc. It's not as simple as it would be on Job Link. I really do love the new vibe kindof thing with Testo. They just feel so much different from Fielspiece, and I like that. It feels like an all together different/new tool, if that makes any sense. When they do things like catching up to Fieldpiece on connectivity, and simplify a few other minor things, look out Fieldpiece... oh, and come out with a replacement for the 770-3. Then they'll be a force...

That micron probe seems very nice. I’m using the manifold probes currently and they are great. Have nearly the whole suite of them in my backpack next to my most used tools. The app is annoying, I feel like it slows me down, connecting each item, but the app does have a crap load of functionality and makes anything you do look professional. I have the big micron gauge that has bluetooth added to it and it’s nice, but to have a probe and have that in my bag for quickly checking recovery tanks, pump(s), and whatnot seems convenient. More research is needed on my end but either of those manifolds to me looks like a very, very, solid replacement of my titan and classic yellow jacket gauge sets. Watch that car review guy reviewing Lamborghini’s, his reviews on those are funny.
Do this bro, because that was my exact problem too. It slowed me down WAY too much. So I took it all home (I got Fieldpiece and Testo at pretty much the same time) so I took them home and worked and worked and worked with them.
