I'm starting cutting on our last first cut fields tomorrow.... Hauled hay off of the lasts fields, hauled the Super C over to the next cut , heading out with the 706 and the haybine in the morning to lay down the rest....probably going to take a day off next week to rake and bale..... When I see those PTO shafts apart, I was thinking about how hard a time I have taking the shields off, figuring out how to do that. Yeah, a lot of the brown Hay here also but still selling it as Hay got no choice. One of my buddies has one of those Saw pruners on his bobcat to drive around the field with I think about what a pain it is to stop the tractor and get in and out of the tractor to pull the Tansey reminds me of picking up branches of rocks and brand new field

You still have some green hat too though.. 👍 I started making a tree trimmer for the skid steer, probably 25 years ago. Old sawmill blade and hydraulic motor.. ran into an issue and set it off to the side. Would need a pretty long boom, freaking redwoods are like cedar.. the limbs hang way down.. Definitely a pain!! Especially when it's 90°+ but better than having animals die!!

Hats off to the fire fighters! Have you tried a needle grease fitting on the shaft? We had 74 degrees yesterday and 92 today. We got about 11 inches of rain yesterday from the hurricane.

Worked at baling this afternoon, down to 100 acres to bale of hay now. Probably 250 bales. Cut some more greenfeed this morning. Had to drop another gear, this middle of the field is really heavy. Only doing 8 km (5 mile)an hour. Usually cut at 12 km+ (7ish mile).
@@chadtosh6831 nice 👍 We used to cut 8-10 acres an hour with the JD disc mowers with the impeller conditioners.. of course the fields were smoother then too.. and we pulled the first one with a 2670 Case.. horsepower helps 😎 I cut some at 4.5 and some at 7+.. where it was smooth enough..

Always been a few field fires every year.. but the last 6 years with lots of fall, winter and spring rain, and no summer rain.. there's been a few every year. Seems like October first the rain starts.. and not many breaks until it stops in April or May.. 10 years ago, we cut hay into September and it was still green from summer rain. Crazy!!
I'd gladly send you some... In some areas they use a machine to make tunnels and drop poison bait. But people have tried it here, doesn't seem to make a difference.. so trap, burn sulfur, shoot.. all takes time.. and the sulfur burning, we definitely can't do now. Pain in the.... But we're running again. Wait until you have to replace them.. NH is way too expensive! I'm assuming there's probably a "Driveline Service" somewhere in your area, same or better quality and about half the price.. so far, it's out lived the original.
