Considering all the recent accidents having taken place in the spotlight of this sport, especially those resulting in death, this was a great video to put out for the time. Safety first, y'all...also, that's such a sick-ass line, I totally understand the temptation to throw caution to the wind.
This is, by far, one of the most moving climbing films I've seen. I have never had a serious injury climbing but I can fully respect and appreciate someone who goes back to conquer a rock after a fall like that. I can only imagine the mental strength needed to do such a thing. That line was beautiful. Amazing job, Isamer!!! Also, First.
Holly shit , that was painful to watch. But necessary due to fact that I know this can kill me , yet my will keeps me sending. Thank you and I’m glad I’m still climbing. Forever
These comments are unhinged. It is so easy to judge from behind a computer, especially if you don't climb. I am glad Isamer is ok, and I am grateful for all of the seflessness that was put on display by the rescuers and riggers.
Wow awesome video. I've often wondered why people don't ware helmets when high balling. Seems like a pretty small precaution to take. Also why was no one spotting! Could have made a difference instead of filming! Super cool to see him go back and crush the climb though.
Hey Daniel, there was a spotter down there you just can't see him in the video. He did everything he could to brace some of the impact with his crash pad but it was a tough height/angle he fell from.
What was the point of doing it with no spotters, was the shot really that important, also seems like you had 3 other people there, definitely should have thought that out more especially if you're just gonna turn around and build a monstosity of a landing like that
Why was no one spotting down there?! If you knew that exact fall was possible, someone should have been down the hill waiting. Regardless, he has amazing resolve. Well done, dude. Great send.

So irresponsible and inconsiderate. He talks about how he hadn’t even considered how his friends or family might be affected by him dying and then just says that it was “humbling.” If climbing means everything to you, think about how you might ruin that for someone who feels the same way who watches you die doing it, and if you love your friends and family, don’t subject them to potentially watching you die a gruesome death.
First of all: His life, his friends and his family. Some people are aware of risking it out and talk it out with their loved ones and family, some don't and that is irresponsible and immature. I agree. Personally I would like to solo and would do it on the right mindset. if faced with the consequence my family would understand, some friends would others wouldn't. A handful of loved ones is the thing that prevents me from doing it and the risk that I would bring to them be it death or heavy injuries for life. It's a choice, that the individual do it.
Ditto what you said Mitchell Romanat. After quitting climbing after a few knee injuries and being out of the game for a few years, there’s so much more to life than I previously realized lol. It sounds dumb but if you’re a climber you know what I’m talking about. Also realizing climbing has to be one of the most self centered sports there is. I heard that a while back but actively ignored that statement during my decade plus of climbing. In the end it’s all about “you” and what you’re willing to do to sacrifice for that moment of euphoria of sending. It’s like a drug. Also after doing nursing for over a decade and doing trauma resuc and icu blah blah blah..., hearing statements like “ I’m willing to take the risk to climb” is ignorant. I get it, we were all 20 something once, but trust me nothing is worth dying for that wouldn’t have a lasting affect on the world or others or even worse nothing is worth being a trached quad in a 24/7 nursing facility. Seen it plenty ... trust me that piece of granite is never worth it.
Sketcchhhhhhh, rock climbing isnt that cool or that worth it in my opinion. Just climbing fucking rocks, not worth your life, there's no glory in it. But hey its your life you can throw it away if you want. I know people arent gonna like this comment especially the climbers but its how I feel and maybe Im wrong, but its supposed to be fun, why so serious. Glad your ok homie.

The will power to come back and complete that boulder is insane! Great send my dude!

Thank you! Isamer is a beast it was amazing to see him go back and complete the line
can we get the name and grade?

Thats when u realise that a climb is not always worth it, nice line tho

Are any of your tribesmen currently working on any projects?

with that force you'd have two people going down the hill instead of one
I feel like there should have been two spotters on ropes further down the hill to stop his tumble. A lesson was learned regardless.

Because social media > health
LOL… you must not climb. Spotter can’t do much with this landing and with the height he fell from.
Very brave to go back and send.
Cool video, good lessons to be learned from this.
Thanks Dan!
really? a boulder is worth dying over? smh...
Nets are aid.
Joking:D nice story with a happy ending.
This is such a good video.

HippyTree clearly, I had no idea. It was a great video, nonetheless. Love your videos and clothes with Jimmy, too.
@@ShakespeareanBroncobuster Thank you appreciate the support
Could he not have bolt it as a sport climb?
Francis Groleau you have no soul
no fall zone = ropes or no go
Alex Honnolds enter the scene.
Everyone else looks away
What an awful fall. I'm sorry but no boulder is worth dying for. Some of these guys literally don't give a shit if they die and it kind of irks me.

so irresponsible!
this is because people build terraces and spots the climbers...
