- I had to make some tough cuts even to some essential characters, but I've cobbled together a Top 50 figure list for which members of the Avengers, X-Men, Fantastic Four, Alpha Flight and more.

Great list, Jeffrey! We're on the same page in a lot of ways so there is a lot of overlap on our lists but I also want some of the more esoteric and weirdo characters from the '70s. I also included a few figures on my list that have already been made but might have been 10+ years ago and they need a redo (Annihilus, for example).

Thank you for this, Jeffrey! This just might be my favorite episode of yours! Many of these are "no brainers" (e.g., Feral and all the others that will complete teams for us), but others were downright brilliant (e.g., Jack Kirby!!). I've been listening to this over and over, my imagination is fired up, my wallet is weeping, and I'm thinking about building more shelves in my house! GREAT LIST!! THANK YOU!

Thanks Kyle! Those were my teams back in the day so really hope Hasbro doesn't leave some members out since they're relatively closer to complete.
Also, regarding X-Men, Psylockes original X-Men look (glad to hear her next costume, the armour, is coming), Rogue in her early punk look (black body stocking with assorted bits of green clothing on top, with the shoulder length, spiky hair, between her original look and her outback look). Speaking of outback x-men, maybe also Gateway. The New Mutants in their graduation uniforms would be cool (the ones drawn by Art Adams, can't remember if it was an annual where the team saved the X-Men from Mojo or Loki).
I'm looking forward to armored Psylocke big time. I'd love that version of Rogue too. She's got a lot of costumes that still would make for good figures. Gateway would be fun too! I think those graduation suits were around for awhile as I know they were rocking them through Inferno.
Heck yeah Marrina and BOX! 2. -pack would be great !
I think using that Drax and Moondragon setup, that could work.

Fascinating video Jeffrey - thanks for your efforts on this one. We obviously share a love for Marvel comic book characters as we do for our mutual love for this hobby. To determine a Top 50 would be a Herculean job for any light hearted soul. There isn't much from your list I would say no to. Much needed villains for any Marvel collection would be the Supreme Intelligence, Baron Mordo, and the Owl meanwhile I am astonished it is 2023 and there is still no Adam Warlock in his classic costume, Mantis or Box yet.

Our lists are vastly different. I won't try to cram in 50 here, but the Bi-Beast, Bushmaster, Cardiac, Champion of the Universe, Ogun, Razorfist (MCU preference, but I'll take 616), and a Warriors 3 3-pack are at the top of my list.
Definitely want to work in more Asgardians. They'll be on the 51-100 list.

Yeah, all the classic GotG would ROCK as a wave with Korvac (half man/half machine) as the BAF! Maybe some Badoon aliens too!

Love it Jeff. Great list. You had me thinking about the Medusa and how they would tackle that. You said bendy wire and yes! What about a mass of hair that has 4 bendy tails/tufts of hair that curve and touch down, lifting her up about an inch off the ground? For Kirby, sadly I don't think Marvel would ever put him out. Money would have to go to the Kirby estate away from Marvel and they had that lawsuit awhile back that gave Kirby co-creator status. So Marvel I think has a love/hate with him. With Neca, there's just one level of getting rights and payment directly to the family.

It's wild how easy it is to come up with great lists of MLs in Hasbro's next decade of the license. I'd take every one of yours. Some with tough cuts from my Top 50!

A damn good list! I agree with all of those, but there's some characters I'd like beyond those, obviously. I need a few others like the U-Foes (Cuz Hulk deserves more villains represented other than the Leader & Abomination!), Jack of Hearts, classic red & white Falcon, Stingray, classic Quasar, Count Nefaria, Gabriel the Air Walker (to finish off the Heralds!), a new Blastarr and Annihilus, The Unicorn in his green and orange, an updated Madame Mask, Balder the Brave, a classic Sif, Warriors Three, the Gladiator (from DD), and Vangard from the Winter Guard, just to name a few.

Black Panther comic book version, Ghost Rider, 90s Iron Man from the animated series, every version of the Fantastic Four comic book, Silver Surfer, every version of Thor with all Asguardian heroes & villains, Hulk Agents Of Smash, Spider-Man Web Warriors, Avengers Assemble, and a limited edition of 70s Power Man and Iron Fist needs to have their own line.
A Power Man and Iron Fist wave would be fun especially to get a better Misty and Colleen!
We already have the 90's Ironman animated. It's the Capcom modular one. We have multiple comic book black panthers recently
The Mirage Comics Ninja Turtles line from NECA is actually giving us a Jack Kirby amazingly, and they're six-inch scale, so that might do a decent job of scratching that itch
Yep, I mentioned they've got one coming, but I'd like one that fits in with the ML Stan.
I love your list. We also need 2.0 blue marvel helmet version figure & we need a updated bald headed Luke cage figure & patriot , updated Ms marvel aka Carol Danvers figure.

Glad to see the frightful for being especially wizard and Trapster they can also double as Spiderman villains especially Trapster. I see some saying characters like Cardiac but I heard there was some legal issues with him. Also Carrion would be great to finish up the villain team in the Maximum Carnage arc.
Yeah, Wizard and Trapster are very high on my overall list to complete the other FF!
1st before watching I gotta say my top 3 things I need from Marvel. Number 1 a 2 pack of wolverine and deadpool in canadian themed gear. Including 3 beer drinking beavers and some maple syrup. Number 2 a 5 pack giving us repaints of X-Force black and grey. I.e. cannonball, nightcrawler, Angel, Colosis, warpath Number 3 a Major Maple Leaf figure with his horse in a deluxe riders series.
I've gotta check this Wolverine/Deadpool Canadian gear look.
I just re-read Acts of Vengeance. Do you think we will ever get a late 80s style Mandarin? That would be great. Also, an 80s-style Gilgamesh would be cool, too.
I'd hope that one would fly. I liked that look for him. I wouldn't be opposed to Gilgamesh either. He might be waiting for awhile though.
Good list but i always feel like cosmic characters get the shaft. I'd add classic Gamora, Classic Nebula, 70s Adam Warlock, Pip the Troll, Tyrant, Airwalker, The In Betweener, The Collector, The Grand Master, The Gardener, The Runner, Eternity (Haslab), Living Tribunal (Haslab), The Stranger (12"), Mistress Death, Starfox, Mephisto, Quasar classic, Red Shift, Stardust, more Starjammers, Genis Vell (Legacy look), The Magus (90s with Alt space fro head), The Goddess, Dweller in Darkness, Lord Chaos, Master Order, Eon, The Champion, Moondragon classic. Just for starters lol.
LOL. I didn't even get to finish off my DNA Guardians with that 50! Making another one with more cosmic characters is definitely needed!

I need Legends of Cardiac, Carrion, updated Blackheart, Danny Ketch Ghost Rider, Calypso, Slayback (Deadpool's one time nemesis), Splice (Wonder Man villain), Wolverine Patch in Tuxedo (which I know is coming soon in a Hulk Tux 2 pack), Bloodscream, Roughouse, Tyger Tiger, Albert & Elsie Dee, Gorgon (X-Men version), Trevor Fitzroy, Terror Inc, Doom 2099, Kane (Weapon X), Hellfire Club attire Harry Leland, Death's Head 1, and I'm sure I'll think of some more.

Rick Jones is number one on my list. Dan Ketch Ghost Rider could have saved the Haslab. Jim Lee Gold Team Colossus. Outback team Colossus. I would say Outback team Psylocke but shes' rumoured for next year (which you eventually mentioned!. Don't forget Vertigo pulls double-duty as a Savage Land Mutate.

Oh man!!! You're list is so much closer to mine! In my opinion it beats this video's list (although, much respect) especially on the Avengers members like starfox, yellowjacket, Jack of hearts and the original guardians of the galaxy 3000
For the Avengers, I would add these must-haves:
Wonderman (Original Costume)
Yellowjacket
Immortus
And I would hope for Graviton with his original cape-less costume, or to at least be able to remove the cape.
I agree totally on finishing the Inhuman and I definitely want an updated Blackbolt body. Maximus is a must have because we need more villains.
For the FF, I'd add:
Gabriel the Airwalker (the only Galactus herald we're still missing and a classic)
Annihilus
Red Ghost
For the Frigthful Four, I'd really hope that Sandman got his more high-tech looking costume like he wore in FF #61, Marvel Team-Up #1, and FF #171. And since Medusa would be part of the Inhumans team, I'd love for them to add the Brute to the Frightful Four, otherwise we'd have to either buy 2 Medusas or be short a character on one team or the other.
For X-men we definitely need an updated classic 70's Banshee! And Mesmero! Not all that popular a character, but damn does he look cool!
Miscellaneous figures I think are must-make for Hasbro are Attuma (classic costume), Nebulon (we need more Defenders foes!), classic Whizzer (completes the Squadron Sinister along with Nebulon from his first appearance), and of course Mandarin.
Love that list! I'm still surprised we haven't seen Attuma or finished the Frightful Four.
Hey could do delux Medusa with hair coming at us and some of it acting as a base to hold her up.
A deluxe Medusa might be the way to go!
We need a classic iceman figure with the same translucent blue they used for the new Crystar.
For sure they haven't nailed Iceman right still!

Thank you. I have 3 Marvel Earth's, and some Marvel have also snuck into my Earth Between. My Earth Between is Heroes and Villains from the Past and Future. So I have the WW2 Invaders, and I have 31st Century Avengers, and 2 Original Guardians of the Galaxy. I can, with a little cheating, claim 75 different Avengers on my Earth 616. Of course 5 are Hank Pym, 2 Scott Lang, and 2 Carol Danvers. Also, about 7 Customs and 3 Fudges. Just ordered Justice so it will go down to 6 Customs.
Dr. Druid from the Under Siege storyline would be cool.

I want alot of the same people you have listed but my list begins with a non giant sized Wrecking Crew and the U-Foes.
Yeah and in their Secret Wars-era costumes too. The villains side of SW definitely needs better representation.
Personally, I am less interested in different versions of characters that have already gotten the Marvel Legends treatment than I am in characters we have not yet seen. For example, am I the only one who wants to see Marvel Legends versions of Wyatt Wingfoot and Two-Gun Kid? I would also love to see versions of the Frightful Four's Wizard and The Trapster (aka Paste-Pot Pete). One of my biggest complaints about any Fantastic Four wave is that they always include the four core members which severely limits the other characters in the wave. I would like to see an FF wave that consisted 100% of villains (besides Dr. Doom) and supporting characters. An Impossible Man would be fun. I would also like to see more obscure Avengers such as Dr. Druid and Moondragon as a single. I would also like to see Swordman and Triathlon as you mentioned. And speaking of Swordsman, how about a comic accurate version of Mantis?
I'm hoping the FF movie means we'll get a lot more FF villains. It's been a few videos since I did that one. I can't believe I wouldn't mention Trapster and Wizard!
I've said it before, as much heat as I give Hasbro and the Legends line, there's not another company that is going to give us obscure C Level Marvel characters like Frogman and Rock Python in 1/12. I think that is actually a positive. For years I've been wanting Speedfreak in 1/12 scale, and I don't think he's coming via MEDICOM, MEZCO, or even Diamond Select.
Oh yeah. I don't sign off on the sentiment that some other company needs the license. Hasbro still has a good 10 years of characters to still crank out.
I really want that Banshee, Rachael Summers and Rogue. Colossus is my favorite and I would take another. I also want the Classic New Mutants male characters. Cannonball, Sunspot, Cyper. The Hellions would be nice too at least Jet Stream. ROM would also be a good one.
I feel like they could do a box set (or two) of the New Mutants in their original gear. That'd be a cool box set and knock out the team relatively quickly. The Hellions could be another simple box set with just a few character-specific tweaks.

On my list but not yours: Bronze Age Valkyrie,Yellowjacket, Falcon, Damien Hellstrom, Adam Warlock, Beast (Perez/Byrne), Gladiator, Living Laser, Goliath (Bill Foster),, Namor (ML2 Costume with yellow wings.
So 80% overlap. 🙂

Not a bad list. You started off strong with mantis and swordsman. Lost me completely with the marauders. We need starfox, yellowjacket, Jack of hearts, classic angel starhawk from GOTG 3000, Mephisto. These are absolutely much more important than mad thinker or silhouette

10:58 "we've got Quicksilver". Hold on. Really? You're not talking about that Family Matters 3 pack are you? "Cause there was a guy with ash grey hair and white eyebrows, wearing a QS costume. But that wasn't Quicksilver. If you just had the head of that figure, I defy anyone to id it as Quicksilver. At least the janky figure in the Blob BAF series from way back, LOOKED like him. Come on, now. We still need a Quicksilver!
Oh, I definitely wouldn't say no to a better one, but he's a better stand-in than most of the Toy Biz ones that Hasbro still needs to tackle.
Playing devils advocate and hasbro apologist. In order to get these 50 done, hasbro has to do reuse and cut corners for these obscure characters, along with box sets and BAF waves to anchor these characters, and a lot of other random figures to fund the characters we want……. I'm ok with sensible corner cutting but to the point where it's not even worth doing the character at all. There's some easy box set candidates that would be fine with just a head sculpt and maybe some different boots or something.
@@LylesFigureFiles yeah that’s fair. But I personally will still take the half hearted effort. 3 that come to mind are AoA cyclops, Avalanche, and Ch’od. Could they be better, no doubt. But I am still happy to have them.
My guess is that we will get an updated Ch’od and a box set with the 2 remaining Starjammers.

Earth's Mightiest Heroes is legitimately amazing. Such a shame we only got two season, then it was replaced by the trash known as Avengers Assemble.
I can't ever manage to watch more than two episodes at a time with Avengers Assemble just knowing how much better EMH was.
