This is such a sensitive topic. I've brought this up with many Christian women and their attitude seems to be that they're being oppressed by being asked to dress modestly. It's not only an issue for the man to lust but also for the woman to be a stumbling block. Many women don't seem to care at all about being a stumbling block, because they defend their right to dress how they want over denying themselves and taking up their cross daily. In fact, the subject of self denial is rarely a way to convict anyone these days. Jesus said we must deny ourselves in order to follow Him, but most people act like denying self comes from a religious spirit.
It's a love issue, it's about love for your fellow brother and sister. The men in Jesus Church are our family, our brothers, and we are to love them with a Jesus love, to care about your brother's spiritual well-being, their relationship with Jesus and the entire Church family.
those women are revealing their hearts with their attitude. I am a woman too and and follow Jesus, and I want to obey Him in everything and it of course includes modesty. I also have headcovering like a scarf on my head sometimes and when praying..and christians always comment about it and thinking it´s legalistic or just strange..I have tried also talking to other sisters even my own biological, who say they are christians and my mother who is a christian always make comments of my dress or if I wear long skirts. Now when I started wearing more skirts to my knees only she is commenting about it that she thinks this is looking better than the long ones.
It's also about a love of our Lord. Look at all the times throughout the Bible we're exhorted to be humble, simple, chaste, spotless, like virgins - This is *opposite* of what the world teaches us. This goes for Men and Women, and it's not just about creating rules to separate yourself from the world, and dress is certainly important, it's about our heart _and_ reins. the heart is spoken by the mouth, and influenced by the eyes. The reins (our bowels, liver, etc) control what we do. This is our hands, our feet and is influenced by what we hear. When Jesus beckoned to the disciples, "follow me" - they got up and followed Him. Their heart and reins were under His control. This is what the Lord wants of us.
I stopped using make-up when I started my dreadlocks in 1986.Yes it is true what you say:Make-up is from demons and fallen angels,not from Gods people.Still i have to wear pants because of the cold here,but I put a skirt or a long dress over the paints,so that I look woman-like.Thank you for the Video,it is very comforting to me.
Good luck even finding a Church that is still preaching that women must submit to men as the church submits to Christ. Every woman I've shown that scripture to, states it was FOR THAT TIME. Denying the immutable nature of God's word.
It sickens me at times the way professing Christians dress. I'm still looking for the "get with the times" concept in the Holy scripture. Immodest dress is definitely grounded on being a part of the world and loving the world, looking like the world rather then being separate. Why people would want to tip-toe the line of hell is beyond stupid if you ask me. Honestly I see it as such an easy fix or change just to start showing God you really do love Him. How far we have come from the way our founding fathers of early Christianity were, they really would be "rolling over in their graves"...

makeup is really a trap! When I was younger I didn´t use to have any and I never needed it I have always had good skin. But I still started putting it on and then more and more. Now in my thirties I don´t wear much, but some, I fill in my brows a little and lipliner always. I don´t have a husband if I did I wouldn´t care that much. But some day I want a husband and why would he not think as this man explains that he thought all the women were unattractive who had no makeup. At least men I have liked before always said I am more pretty natural and that I don´t need makeup. it´s just that I don´t believe it so its something I have to pray about. I do try to wear modest clothes every day. I don´t wear pants only skirts atleast to my knees and loose fitting. I also enjoy having head covering and when I pray, even though I get comments. the makeup part is more my struggle I pray God help me with this!
In another message David teaches that the early church believed that the eucharist was very important and more than just symbolic, but they did not believe in transubstantiation as the Roman Catholics do.
I've never heard this teaching in any expression of Christianity in America. It's long overdue.

They did. My church always taught that it was just a symbol. It was a very interesting discovery for me.
