- Seventh mission. I feel like the only memorable part of this mission is the tank so the driving sequence gets forgotten easily, the one from Dangerous Pursuit is simply better.
Objectives:
- Retrieve Q-locator
- Locate data chip
- Deliver data chip to R
This is being played on Dolphin emulator 5.0 with the original controller.

This one has always been my favorite mission because I just love driving the old Aston Martin and it kicks ass.
Yeah man, i loved the car physics in this game. Wished gta games had the same driving physics. You could feel the weight of the car and yet have full control
@@MrHellrider9 This is a late reply, but that’s because the driving sections of the EA PS2 era games actually use the Need for Speed engine. Given how good the NFS games are, it makes sense why it feels great to play.

When I remember playing this mission, I think of the streets mission in Goldeneye 007 because of the tank part of the mission.
I love how the car is damaged, but in the cut scene, there's not a scratch on it.
I highly doubt MI6 will have an easy time covering up a car chase with missiles up this easy! Great job.
forget that, what about the Russian tank and the hotel that you drove it through? and all the helicopters and cars you blew up? and the train being blown up?
MI6 probably wasn't happy with bond... I think R's reaction really goes to show this.

I love how hilariously over the top this mission is. Going from mostly sneaking around shooting bad guys with a pistol to blowing up a city in a tank.
I died way more times than I should have at the very end, because the machine gun couldn't detonate the train cars for some reason, and I didn't know you could switch to the big cannon
Something always stumped me about the tank level...
How the hell is Bond driving the tank, lol. With his knees?
That bothers you? How about when Bond climbs ladders while still holding a gun with both hands?

Here’s a strange glitch for you. If you keep the car at 5:33 alive and just kill the guys in the sunroof and are able to successfully “escort” it to the end of the level, the red vans blow themselves up with the gas truck, the van in the nightgoggle part will refuse to fight you, and the enemy helicopters and the tanks do not spawn near the end so your just facing a train. I kid you not it’s because the AI gets corrupted or something. Check it out lol.

As a kid, I went through the entire tank segment with only the chain gun because I didn't know that you could use a cannon until I got the ammo for it.

Watching this reminded me of the incongruous Americanisms in these games that the movies avoid. I can’t imagine any version of M saying ‘go find that chip’ it would be ‘go and find that chip’, the original uses go as an auxiliary verb like in U.S. English. Her Majesty’s Secret service would not approve.

Great videoGraslu000.I use to play 007 game when i was a kid.
If only 007 Racing was good as the driving segments in this game as well as Everything or Nothing would have been a good as the original Driver video game.
Production pictures of the tank part of this mission fooled me. I was expecting to DRIVE the tank. I was not expecting that part to be an on-rails shooter. It felt like a crawl prank the developers played.
My favorite level in that game.
Every time I hear wine cellar (the music that plays when you're in the tank) I always think of a chaingun/minigun now lol.
Meanwhile, The Romanian police, Military, Locals and the state itself watching a tank wreck havoc on the streets: "Eh...what ever...Just another day. Nothing new."
Romania is a civilized country. They're civilized Latins, not crazy Slavs...

3:59 The Aston Martin activated what it appears to be the "Q-Wedge" to slip through the cars that are too close to each other.

To be fair a nations military would respond quickly to an embassy attack

I used to restart the mission if I suffered any cosmetic damage to the DB5. I got pretty good at getting through it until the very end where it is scripted to be damaged when it does the jump.
Yes lol. I tried that once when I was a kid. Spent one weekend on this mission. It took me 20 times to keep the car clean
That train part I kid you not stumped me as a kid I didn't know you had to shoot the red gas tank on the train not the tanks

Why is the car physics so good for a game that barely uses them?
It uses the Need For Speed engine on vehicle levels, and idTech 3 on first person ones.
As a romanian that grew up in Bucharest, this ain't Bucharest 😅

How do you know where to drive? No map.. or does the tank drive itself?
Yeah the tank part is on-rails, which means it's driven automatically.
Was there a reason why Bond didn't look like any of the actors? I mean not knocking his design but he didn't look like anyone but he was clearly based on Pierce brosnan I mean, that whole tank thing is straight from 'tomorrow never dies'
They didn't get the likeness rights for Brosnan for whatever reason, but yeah it's based on him to follow the rules by Columbia/MGM.

It’s based after the voice actor, who happens to voice Archer from the Archer tv show.
