Hikers run dirtygirlgaiters which is nylon just over the ankle and the shoe to prevent rocks and twigs from getting in. I have never use gaiterts I might pick up a set at KUIU and see how they work.
I doubt these are snake proof. Down in US south that would be an extra benefit. I have several Helikon-Tex products and find them to be of decent quality for the cost. I almost bought an OR set but I like the build of these better. Thanks for the introduction and review.
