Music & vocals by Farya Faraji, bagpipe by @DimitriosDamlas, aulos and syrinx by @StefanosKrasopoulis, with additional improvisations by the them, and translation by Demetrios Paraschos. Please note that this isn't reconstructed historical music, it's modern music using Ancient Roman instruments and the framework of their music theory. Aurelian was a Roman emperor who reigned from 270 to 275 during the Crisis of the Third Century. Rising through the ranks first as a soldier and then as a general, he was hailed Caesar by his troops and took command of a divided empire on the verge of dissolution, uniting it all, which has earned him the title Restorer of the World. The instrumentation consists of the Vergina model of the aulos, played by my colleague Stefanos Krasopoulis whose channel I highly recommend you visit for more music using ancient Greco-Roman instruments. He has also accompanied the melody with a syrinx, a traditional flute used to this day in parts of Greece, especially in the north. Dimitrios Dallas, whose channel I also urge you to visit for examples of Greek music, plays the askomandoura, an old bagpipe played to this day in Crete, and almost identical to the bagpipes used in the day by the Ancient Romans and Greeks. The lyrics use Classical pronunciation and adhere almost completely to the vowel length and subsequent penultimate stress rule of Latin.

Como o leão engole as ovelhas,
Eu sou o servo do Sol Invictus,
Eu sou o Restituidor Orbis.
Assim como só existe um sol no céu,
Portanto, existe apenas um império no mundo,
Eu sou Mestre e Deus
Com meu sangue e minha espada, restaurei o mundo,
Eu sou o servo do Sol Invictus,
Eu sou o Restaurador do Mundo.
Man, an Aurelian music makes me want a Constantine simphony so much. Great job Farya Faraji.
Yes, i am a simp.
S= Sol
I= Invictus
M= Maximus
P= Princeps
You could put the first two in the genitive case to make a badass title:
Solis Invicti Maximus Princeps = Prince of the Unconquered Sun, the Greatest
@@SrJomba Ah yes
Another beautiful song added to the list. Thank you!
Awesome piece as always!
Please we need all of your songs on spotify , i wanna make a
Playlist out of them
I love this!
It's just so beautiful and epic, what a masterpiece! You sir got a very magical talent! 💛🔥
Beautiful.
A symphony on Spartacus will be amazing!
My friend, it would be great pleasure to hear a symphony of Ramses, Amenhotep or Thutmose, the Pharaohs of ancient Egypt since your symphonies are truly fascinating. I am looking for it. I believe you can do it.
Symphony of Ramses the Great would be epic
Masterpiece like always farya
Farya, a fan here. Absolutely beautiful work: reminds me why this is my favorite channel. Would you consider composing a hymn for the Legio IX Hispana?
Eu já havia pensado nisso. Seria sensacional.
Ave Sol Invictus!
Farya és sublime.
Farya please put some of the newer songs (+this one) to spotify 🥹🥹
This song gives me goosebumps, it's just perfect!
Daym i got sunstroke from this song ☀️☀️☀️
Good one!
Thanks to all that make your beautiful music possible ! Much love from Bulgaria ❤
Another Roman masterpiece
What a great surprise for the end of my day
I just discovered your channel a few months ago, within a DEEP history rabbit hole. Since, I have chosen you as my one allowable heterosexual mancrush. Consistently, you release videos that illuminate my window to history, and also keep me from repeating some layman's pitfalls. Your videos are thoughtful, informative, and entertaining. On top of it all, you provide ancient jam sessions. One of my favorite content producers. Thank you!
May the gods send you health and fortune.
This man's music is blowing my mind!!!!
imagine an Epic Symphony about the Crisis of the 3rd century. one of my favourite periods in Roman history, and all the musical styles from the various peoples involved, from Germany down to Syria
What a masterpiece! You should do the LEGIO X EQUESTRIA also, that would be awesome!
AVE RESTITUTOR ORBIS!
This is amazing guys; great work.
Really enjoyed this.
Thank you Farya its time Aurelian gets the love and praise he deserved
I like your Music so much. The Roman and Byzantine Music is my favourite Music. I hope you will make also a symphony for Trajan, the Optimus Princeps
Typical top notch content from Farya Faraji and his colleagues.
Fire man
What great Epic music art piece !
Just came to honour the memory of the Resitutor Orbis with your nice song.
I knew you would make this! I do believe I suggested it over a year ago but I am glad to see it now.
I like the lyrics of this one the most, because they really sound like something an emperor would commission to have written and sung in taverns and camps alike, so their legendary feats would be known across the empire.
This is amazing!!!
farya why have you stopped making songs about persian kings? we need more of them, and i’ve actually waited for aurelian😊 you are underrated just like aurelian and you deserve more recognition❤
He just made one five days ago
I love this, drinkin wine and jamming out to some awesome rhythms, pipes, and vibes!
Aurelian, often described by the ancient sources as a necessary rather than a good emperor. But, what is the job of an emperor except to restore his empire? He did that, at all cost to himself.
Imagine showing up to the colosseum and hearing this being played from the sidelines. I could wrestle a tiger for as long as the music played.
I had never considered Roman Music before!
