Windows literally won't let you uninstall edge. You have no idea what you're talking about. Your bootloader is in no way involved with your web browser. Bootloader is the first line of command when you power on a pc to provide a bios to run your os.
Just because Windows is bricked doesn't mean your data is lost. Additionally, a default windows environment will not let you delete the System32 folder, and anyone with the knowledge set required to do so probably wouldn't have a problem getting access to the filesystem of a bricked Windows 🤷♂️
This, also you don't need to wipe and reinstall Windows, you just have to use an external repair source AFAIK. (it's not like I've ever tried doing this though)
“Lose all of your files.” Technically incorrect, if you have another hard drive with an OS on it and boot from that drive, you’ll be able to access the drive that doesn’t have the System32 files on it. Still, very stupid thing to do for sure. If you want your computer to run more quickly or something, it’s best just to download more RAM.
I think Microsoft needs to label these folders different, like "Important" , "Fucking Important" , "VERY Fucking Important" , "Something happens to this you're broke meat"
Disagree. People will definitley mess with something so oviously called "important" or "do not delete". In general people will not go deeper in windows folders and delete something that has a name that they don't unterstand, because surely it is important.
I believe they have these hidden unless you enable show hidden folders. To try and minimize normal user error. Basicly if you don't know what your doing don't do this. Best way of saving your files is buy a toaster online 20 dollars to take ur storage devices and back them up then wipe PC and reinstall. You could try using a windows install to recreate and add the files back in.
Even if you are logged in with a local admin account you cannot delete system 32. By default you don’t have permissions to delete the vast majority of the system 32 folder without forcing ownership in command prompt by running takeown or icalcs to give yourself the rights to delete them.
I ran it on my laptop as a joke because I thought it wouldnt work but it started anyway so I stopped it at 34%, not sure if I fucked anything up doing that but the laptop still works a year or so later.
4 years earlier i deleted sys32 becoz of a virus thinking it would be gone but i had no idea what i was doing when deleting sys34. Then my OPerating sys display was now all black then my apps were not opening it would pop up and goes away fast. my wifi setting were not responding.
No… you’re wrong… you do not “lose all of your data”. Your system simply becomes unbootable. Your data is still there and can be easily recovered. Try again.
Correct, but I think he is insinuating that most people wouldn’t know how to recover their data from a computer that is nearly unusable, not that it’s actually lost. You should be able to connect the drive to another bootable computer and access it, but some people don’t know how to do that nor do they have a 2nd PC
Also, I like how he says you can’t recover the sys32 file when all you need to do is create a bootable media to recover the sys32 files. don’t know if this guy knows what he is talking about.
@@V0RTA Boss, I was pirating WinRAR and suddenly, I printed a ransomware through my optical drive, that ransomware came and deleted the System32 folder and then it asked for 5 Bitcoins.
I guess that’s my my computer at school doesn’t work someone deleted system 32 on it so when I login then it goes a black screen and it showed the windows background for 10 secs and it dissapears
Your personal files should be fine. If you boot off a usb into something like Linux where you can use without installing, you can copy your personal files to a separate storage device before reinstalling Windows. That being said, still don't try this unless you're in a virtual machine.
If you have a second computer and don’t know or want to bother with Linux, you can also use an external case for whatever sized drive you have and connect it via usb to any computer and transfer files like a normal usb drive.
@@vl1asdfasdf I put “if you don’t want to bother with Linux”. A lot of people for some reason are intimidated by Linux. And also, what if the pc that needs to get fixed is old and slow af? I’d rather take 2 minutes to pull out the drive and use my faster computer to do whatever I need on it.
I love how this has been a popular tech meme for years and people are still just finding out about it everyday. Makes me happy seeing people get one step closer to tech Nirvana.
@NightlySpectre Most people probably realised it would mess up their Pc in some way but not exactly how as most people aren't idiotic enough to mess with obviously important system files. So your statement doesn't answer the root of the problem. You simply stated it in a way that is supposed to make you some superior intellect.
@NightlySpectre the impression your rhetorical question begs to differ especially in context to OP's statement. And the fact that I can't hear your voice through the text doesn't make it much better. I apologize for my incorrect and baseless judgement. Thanks for the clarification.

My friend deleted it for more storage cause he thought you don't need it cause it's old and his computer stopped working and he had to factory reset it lmao.
We had a facilitator in high school delete system 32 once. A good friend of mine installed steam and a few games, and she found out. She deleted it thinking it was a game. Once it was bricked, she tried to make us fix it, and when we told her what happened, she blamed us and reported the incident to the principal. Students didn’t have admin access.
@@PlatinumEagleStudios it's easy to fix. Just format the hard drive, plug the hard drive in, put in a Windows installation flash drive (you can download the software for free), turn it on, and wait. Then, sign in with the admin account (it will most likely have a verification license on it, if not you can get one for $20 from online or $100 from microsoft), and then set it up. It takes up to 3 hours depending on how slow it downloads and installs the programs and how many there are. Anyone can do it if they have login info and know what they're doing, but IT is usually the only one allowed to fix it, and waiting for them to go there and do it is the worst part because of how long the wait could be.

@@martind4721 the more you stop ppl from doing something, they will try to do the opposite
Isn't word "system" letting u know that it's important?
You actually can’t delete it unless you change the owner of the folder to your user account
Thanks for going through that for us😂
System32 contains the kernel, the desktop window manager, winlogon, DirectX etc. so you‘re basically uninstalling Windows.
Can u install it back again?

Even if you are logged in with a local admin account you cannot delete system 32. By default you don’t have permissions to delete the vast majority of the system 32 folder without forcing ownership in command prompt by running takeown or icalcs to give yourself the rights to delete them.
THIS
I ran it on my laptop as a joke because I thought it wouldnt work but it started anyway so I stopped it at 34%, not sure if I fucked anything up doing that but the laptop still works a year or so later.
If you delete system32 then you gotta buy a system76
4 years earlier i deleted sys32 becoz of a virus thinking it would be gone but i had no idea what i was doing when deleting sys34. Then my OPerating sys display was now all black then my apps were not opening it would pop up and goes away fast. my wifi setting were not responding.
@@D3m0manTF2 shift+delete is dangerous normal delete can be restored easily
If a wise man says „THERES CONSEQUENCES TO DELETING SYSTEM 32“
No… you’re wrong… you do not “lose all of your data”. Your system simply becomes unbootable. Your data is still there and can be easily recovered. Try again.
Yeah, all you'd have to do is have a windows recovery disk.
Correct, but I think he is insinuating that most people wouldn’t know how to recover their data from a computer that is nearly unusable, not that it’s actually lost. You should be able to connect the drive to another bootable computer and access it, but some people don’t know how to do that nor do they have a 2nd PC
Or a recovery disk. But how many laymen own one of those nowadays lol, or even have a PC with an optical drive
@@BigHotSauceBoss69 you don't need a disk drive you can use a USB
Also, I like how he says you can’t recover the sys32 file when all you need to do is create a bootable media to recover the sys32 files. don’t know if this guy knows what he is talking about.

Windows 10 Your PC Got Kicked
Your personal files should be fine. If you boot off a usb into something like Linux where you can use without installing, you can copy your personal files to a separate storage device before reinstalling Windows. That being said, still don't try this unless you're in a virtual machine.
If you have a second computer and don’t know or want to bother with Linux, you can also use an external case for whatever sized drive you have and connect it via usb to any computer and transfer files like a normal usb drive.
you can still reinstall windows without losing data if you dont format your drive during setup.
Unless you somehow put your personnal file imside system 32
@@somdobomk I don't see how that's any easier than making a bootable USB stick
@@vl1asdfasdf I put “if you don’t want to bother with Linux”. A lot of people for some reason are intimidated by Linux. And also, what if the pc that needs to get fixed is old and slow af? I’d rather take 2 minutes to pull out the drive and use my faster computer to do whatever I need on it.
I love how this has been a popular tech meme for years and people are still just finding out about it everyday. Makes me happy seeing people get one step closer to tech Nirvana.
Nerdvana?
@NightlySpectre Most people probably realised it would mess up their Pc in some way but not exactly how as most people aren't idiotic enough to mess with obviously important system files.
So your statement doesn't answer the root of the problem. You simply stated it in a way that is supposed to make you some superior intellect.
@NightlySpectre the impression your rhetorical question begs to differ especially in context to OP's statement.
And the fact that I can't hear your voice through the text doesn't make it much better.
I apologize for my incorrect and baseless judgement. Thanks for the clarification.

Oof
Did she get fired or in trouble over that? She basically bricked the schools computer. She probably had to pay to get it fixed.
@@PlatinumEagleStudios Possible. In some cases, the school would prob replace it. I honestly doubt homie got in trouble for that.
