Thanks, appreciate your comment. I get you with the video camera, I didn't have video camera on my first hunts either but part of me wishes I did. I'm sure my boys will be glad I captured a lot of our time together in the outdoors.
Just came across your videos. They are great! Love seeing you hunt with your sons. Keep them coming. You guys all have good personalities for the camera. Coy seems to have a good sense of humor! loved it!
That was such a great video...nothing is better than being there for your child’s first harvest...he’s quite the little hunter...proud papa I’m sure :)
Thanks for your comment, for me watching my kids hunt and take their game is way more rewarding than myself doing so. I have a lot of footage from this past fall of all my sons hunting that I can't wait to share.
Congrats on a great hunt. Those memories will live forever your your memories. Watching the other boys realize coy shot a bull was the best! Lol. Your doing a good job creating some great men.
One of the best. Love and must admit a bit jealous of you and your boys. Mine aren't interested in hunting. Hats off to Koy for his first bull One more thing what game bags did you use for the meat
@@406highlanders I thought that's what that material looked like. They make great stuff sacks etc. Made some diy bags from leftover tarp material I had done from RIP Stop By The Roll. Thanks. Great vids
That was awesome, love seeing family’s hunting together creating memories that will last a life time, amazing to see how calm and composed Koy was when throwing down on his first Bull, Great Bull Koy & congratulations!! Love your channel & looking for following along on your adventures:) all the best & God Bless!!!
Exceptional video memory Dad! It will be PRICELESS when that boys son/daughter goes on her first elk hunt! Might I ask what caliber he was shooting? Those were some textbook perfect shot placements..no?
corkforbrains he was using a 7mm-08 in a Mossberg patriot. Great starter rifle, it has adjustable stock length so it can be added to as he grows. Thanks for your comment
That was the coolest video I’ve seen in a while. Great job little brother! I’m interested in the caliber he’s using. I will be taking my son this coming fall. We live in the south and he has killed a lot of white tail, wild hogs, and black bears. He has a 270 and a 6.5 Creedmoor. What are your thoughts on caliber selection for a little man?
Brody Holloway thanks for you kind comments, appreciate it. We (my sons and I) have 270 and 6.5 creedmore and they have both taken elk down. Koy uses a 7mm-08 and has had great luck with it. I think any of those calibers would work, but shot placement is key. Also highly recommended either a bipod or shooting sticks.
Awesome. Great family and great dad. I’m 62 years old. My dad took me and my older brother out like that. No video cameras in 1970 lol. Good job boys.

Great first elk hunt. Man! That opening weekend of rifle season was a cold windy one in central MT.

One more thing what game bags did you use for the meat
Armando Veloz they are Kifaru bags, they work good but they don’t breathe well so have to make sure the meat is cooled out completely
