- What's better than a long Furby? A long Furby with wings of course!
This video is my first attempt at making bat/dragon shaped wings. I think they came out alright, but there is room for improvement.
I hope this helps anyone thinking of making wings of their own!
Materials:
Paper, pencils, scissors
Felt
Hot Glue
22 gauge wire

I wish I had hours of your videos to binge. 😭
lovely as always!!i cant wait to see what else is in store!
haha literally just commented on a reply on one of ur other vids saying that this would b how id make a bat wing!!! looks cool as fuck, absolutely love ur vids n ur creativity
Great minds think alike! I love how willing the Furby community is to offer help to each other. Thank you for your support:)
This is so cool! And it gave me great ideas for the wings I have planned for my Furby. (I'm thinking bat wings trimmed in long fur where you had the contrast color.) I was worried how I would sew the wired into the fabric, but now I see that I can make a felt base and stitch the fabric to that!
I'm also making mine with spiraling horns, so if you did horns of any kind, I would probably squeal with glee. I hope you get tons of success with your channel. You really deserve it.
Fur is a fantastic idea, It would really make the wings look cohesive!
That Furby design sounds amazing, I can’t wait to see what you create. I’ll make sure to do horns in the future, and thank you so much for your support.
@@theoddbody1856 I finished him yesterday! Here are the pics:

Nik!! I adore them 😍
If you don’t mind, how did you end up making the horns? @Kay Cee
@@theoddbody1856 I cut 1" x 24" strips of 6mm eva foam, and spiraled them around, gluing them with rubber cement alternating with dabs of super glue. Painted the foam, first a base of black and then dry-brushing increasingly lighter shades of metallic silver. Then I used super glue to apply a base of fake leather (to which I had already sewn a collar of white fur) that extended down past the base of the foam, and used that to sew the horns to the head. If I were to do it again, I would probably use 4mm foam instead, because the base of the horn got bigger way faster than I meant it to, and I wasn't able to make the horns as long as they were in my sketch, but I like they way they look nevertheless.
I originally wanted to use this technique, but my foam turned out to be way too thick: th-cam.com/video/oYQjCthvzkQ/w-d-xo.html
WOAH-
The wings look great on them!
NO WAY!!!!!! 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳
Could you maybe make a video on the best ways to add horns or antlers to a long furby?
To an existing long Furby, or how to add them while making one?
@@theoddbody1856 while making one, thanks
Sure thing! I have a new video nearly done now, but the one after should be an updated sewing tips and tricks for these. I want to include horn and wings
@@theoddbody1856 thanks!
