Jeanne D'Arc is amazing. Same developer as Nino Kuni. They always pour a lot of love and attention to detail in their games. So polished.
jeanne d'ark is probably my favorite psp rpg right behind the 4 trails games. trails is just such a huge, epic, in depth series, i don't think anything will ever top trails for me.
Oh man P3P is the only game that sink my time the most on my PSP and I love it.

Too bad it costs a fortune. I'm going to have to pirate it, I just got a psp 3001 bundle off ebay =D. I can't stop buying games for it, hell idk if it even works I'm still waiting on a charger.

Brave Story and The Legend of Heroes series is a must have.
Still have my psvita. And the latest consoles i have are only 3ds and psvita. Still, it's been many years and we are still discovering hidden gems and other interesting games on comsoles like psp and nds. You have to admit that sometimes it feels good to go back or still be left out right.
I still got my PSP up to this day. The greatest handheld console of all time.

I'm really surprised Crisis Core FF7 is not on the PS Store. I would love to play it before the remake but I only have a PS Vita.

It's why I don't like and never got thr PSP GO.
If you have CFW on it, you can load an ISO of Crisis Core to play on Adrenaline.

Trails in the Sky: Ghostlight did the localisation and publishing in the UK for PAL regions. Just a little glitch there with the text overlay. 😀

Persona 3 Portable is just amazing all together. I wish my Vita and PSP weren't broken or I'd play it all the time.

Trails in the Sky is developed by Nihon Falcom, Ghostlight was only a publisher and nothing else. Just like Ys Seven, it's Nihon Falcom, mostly abridged to "Falcom" not Nihon, mostly a nitpick, but Falcom's library is INSANELY good so any time it can be brought up I tend to haha
This has turned into one of my favorite channels!
The Trails series (5 games in total, including the fan translated ones) are the best imo

Crimson gem saga was a game definitely worth playing for the psp
For those that don’t know I would recommend downloading the psx final fantasy games (7-9). You could get direct ports and they play just like the original. Very fun games to this day

@@filipower776 1 and specially 2 have great stories and characters (I would even argue that 2 has the best story and cast out of the Persona series).
1 just doesn't feel as fun, and I haven't finished it due to how boring and dragging the dungeon crawling becomes.

The dungeon crawling, just wad not fun and felt like a chore, Persona 2 greatly improved on that.

so excited that i found my copy of Lunar Silver Star Harmony...bought it for $18 and found out recently it's worth $90! I also have Jeanne D'Arc which has been really fun and also Brave Story

Aw yeah! I love me some YS. I must add that the soundtrack for just about any YS game is awesome.

Only one I'd add is maybe Brave Story: New Traveller, but that's pretty rare and didn't even come out in Europe.
I'd say FFCC is a must and I haven't played P3P but I know it's a must to be on the list too so I like this list. Oh and maybe honorable mention for FF type-0.
I can't believe how well my rg35xx H handles PSP so far. I was told a lot of the library won't play well, but so far so good.
KH BBS was "a surprised to be sure but a very welcome one" square was weird when they jumping consoles for their KH games then BAMM! unite it to remastered pack on PS4

by the way, I got Tekken 6, MH3rd, Gundam Assault survival, and Naruto Shippuden Ninja Impact in my psspp, I play them with Bluetooth controller, too bad my phone can't run MGS and God of War smoothly.

a psp costs around $20 and runs emulators with ease atleast up to n64 which still gets updates. It will never dissapoint you
Jamie Teo if you really want to play all PSP games or even PS1 games natively, just buy PS Vita and hack it. All games from PS1 to PSP are running smoothly, no emulator needed. It’s very cheap now.

Even now Crisis Core is still playable, and aged well, it even mirrors the current FF7 remake in some aspect.
Yes. Now that you mention it, I've just started playing Crisis Core and it plays very similar to the FF7 remake. I see where they got their ideas for the combat system now.
Persona 3 was my favorite game on psp (alongside FF7 crisis core and MGS peace walker). It was so good that it made me buy the vita for golden
Vivien Leymarie I bought PS Vita and hacked it, now I can play all ps1 and psp games natively on it. Really love all JRPG on Vita too.
Yep, those were my top 3 favorite games on there, with Daxter, Renegade Squadron, Star Ocean, and Monster Hunter falling behind those games.

Dragon Fin Soup - game that hardly makes any lists or get mentioned but is incredibly fun to play lots of humour epic gear weapons and addicting endless labirynth mode which keeps players away from main campaign really worth a try its hidden super gem thats also available on ps4

Ugh I miss having a psp..idk if I’m dedicated enough to buy a new one along with games but someday I might get one...ive always wanted a pink one
Use the PPSSPP emulator, you can play everything from valkyria chronicles, to persona, to metal gear solid, along with the excellent games mentioned here. You can even play it on a mid range phone. I can use it on both my regular phone, and my slower 2 GB ram tab

I played on psp emulator for KH BBS and P3P
And then I found Trails in The Sky and holy fuck it blew my mind
I even played the 2nd chap on emulator too only to regret it because the 3rd chap is on PC...

I only started Trails this year. Half-way through the second game. But I still went and bought Cold Steel I-III for PS4 in preparation too! I might wait to play the Crossbell arc in between though, if the fan translations are done.

Had you not mentioned persona 3&FFT in the video i would have definitely said your list was a no-go 😂 Especially persona since every aspect of it is so amazing (be it characters, music, story, artstyle gameplay mechanics etc)

Ys 7 and Birth By Sleep are PSP classics, best action rpgs on the system
Lunar isn't a PlayStation classic. The PS1 version was a port/remaster of the Sega CD version which was brought to the west by the same team that published Vay and Popful Mail. Lunar 2 is also a Sega CD original.

Zenonia PSP is also really great. Unless you have an old phone it's the only way to play (one of) the original Zenonia trilogy (the new ones are shit). It's a really great pixel art, action combat RPG that I can't recommend enough.
You unlocked a CORE memory with that. Had those games on iPhone and PSP when I was a little lad. Great times.
@@Chandlaman Glad people still remember lol, apparently there is a community made version of 2 and 3 that runs on modern phones, I played a bit and it seemed to work somewhat well

Ehhh, the Mana Khemia port is pretty bad. Sure, if you're playing the PSN version it's notably more stable then the original physical release, but crashes can still happen and the game sacrifices a lot of graphical quality that not only makes the environments look way worse, but also hurts the UI. It's still better than not being able to play it at all, but if you have the ability to play the PS2 version, there's very little reason to play the PSP port.

I never faced problems playing Mana khemia, field quality is pretty bad so it's understandable
and mk2 for psp is no use if you can't read Japanese text
