I wouldn't ever recommend running a project off of a little generator like the Predator. It's by no means efficient, it's just what we had to work with here as temp power still isn't up and running here. I will say, it's a great generator for what it is!
Pittsburgh has their titanium framers with a hickory handle. Wonder how good they are being it's a HF product?🤔 All titanium framers were out quick on the waffle face anyway.🤷♂️

AUDIO COMPRESSION for your Videos?! Fan here, love ur work. Have you considered running all your vids through a digital compressor on or whatever software your editor uses? It can set the max decibels to chop off on the top end so all of your voice levels will be included but any nailer or saw spikes in the audio will be chopped or flattened = problem solved for your audience constantly fiddling with the volume. thank you! love ur channel!
I have a lot of questions on the roof trusses. Even though they are 2 by 4s, how strong are they when they only the the metal plates holding them together?
Trad'nl gennie has to spin at fixed RPM to get proper frequency out. Load or no load. Thus the noise and need for lotsa fuel. Inverters "form the frequency" electronically, so these spin at much lower RPMs. Much less noise and these sip fuel. Lastly, it wasnt only the Predator MBW got @ HF that day, I feel somehow :)

Great video as always. Are you going to try out the new Hikoki (Metabo HPT) 1/2" cordless router? I saw in a previous video you tried the cordless Makita 1/4" and it didn't do very well.
@@MattBangsWood Wow, I think if I did that to my neighbor, they would be out there with a chainsaw... lol. I guess someone is not so bothered, empty lot one side and a parking lot the other.
in my location that would not be allowed, although the city just passed a home that was pretty close to the property line. Of course this was all due to the current housing market and nothing at all with a brown paper bag handed to an elected official :-D
Every builder I've seen on TH-cam use routers to do window cutouts. I don't work in construction, but i do spend hours everyday watching builders on TH-cam as a hobby.
I’m a commercial framer. I cut out windows with my skilsaw. Less tools to roll out less moves, more production. It’s called a rough opening for a reason.
When you're setting the windows, siding around it.. one extra tool wont hurt to grab out. It's personal preference, it's 10x cleaner than cutting with a saw. When we have a solid power source, the router wont struggle like it is here.
Do y’all not have to wear helmets ??? Over here in Texas my crew and company require us to wear one we get 3 strikes then a suspension for 3 days A reply would be good thanks and keep up the good work
This is a very expensive small piece of wall! But very chalenging. 👍 About the paint job, please do not ever change trade. And too do this job in the goog way you all should be dress with white clothing and a LA Dodgers hat.🤣 You know, where I live no way a carpenter is allow to just hold a paint brush in his hand. It's very strict. If you get cut the company and the man pay big money.
Painting went on for quite some time.. I rolled that dang section 4 times before I felt confident enough to leave it alone. It can still be hit once it's in, but it'll be tough.
Sorry you can't be first or second! That would be like the official running across the finish line ahead of the contestants. Nice try but no cigar for you. 🙃
My Monday (today was a shit show....our gable and girder were built backwards our heels were off... 3 weeks for repair. Fuck that. Shifted things and framed over the girder... shit show.
Quick reminder that God will never put weight on your shoulders that He knows you can’t handle. Whatever your going through just be patient and see why God made you wait. It may be hard but it’s all worth it 💫

Harbor Freight for the win, Matt!😆

If you switch to a spiral cut bit for the router it will be way faster and easier
You should check out whiteside router bits
I found your videos because ta couple of them were assigned in my college Arch 102 class. You’re fun to watch and very informative.
I recommend a tagline to assist in the hoisting of your walls. The tagline would be safer on the ground guy. You guys are doing a great job.
Awesome job on the balloon wall. Looking forward to your next job 👍

Very satisfying to watch!
How do you write an invoice after finishing framing a house? wood framing only. make a video with a clear explanation :) please.
So much fun to watch your videos. Thank you
The little predator generator are actually nice. Used them in remote pipeline locations several times.
I've heard nothing but good things about the predators. 👍 If it came from harbor freight or not
Aussie Framer, love the videos mate 🔨👍
Great job guys... greetings from Barcelona!!
We call mono trusses shed style trusses. Another great video

Looks very good Matt & crew
Just like to hear bang on man. You do nice work
Please tell Quenten that we miss him. He was a cute, talented kid that helped make your channel fun.
How many router bits do you go through per build? Or does it last the entire build.
This router bit is new, but the last one stuck around for 3 projects (around 15,000SF).
So what do u guys use for soffit in California? And do u guys run a 2/4 nailer against the wall for ur soffit
I have a lot of questions on the roof trusses. Even though they are 2 by 4s, how strong are they when they only the the metal plates holding them together?
Probably not as strong as a larger rafter

What are they going to do about the window over the garage?
Switching to a smaller window opening!
I buy a lot of tools Harbor freight never had any problems with them. Actually, they're quite good, and they meet the standards of any top line tool.
Matt, you and your crew are awesome man.

I still can not believe how close that building is to the property line.
Isn't it crazy? Honestly, I don't know how it was pulled off..

This! There could be other channels out there where that's the case.

Hey Matt are you using wood battens ?
What for nails do you use on your sheeting? I see people using staples and I don’t understand why
It's up to the engineer to tell us on the plans as to what type of nails to use, ( 8 or 10 penny ? ) And what the spacing is On the nails
In germany wenn use only staples for osb and plywood. Cheaper and faster. And wenn use the osb for inside and tyvek for outside
When you gonna throw GoPro on fox! I wanna see a how fox be working lol
You have a quiet generator… now you need a quiet router!! 😃
yeah quiet=Inverter type of gen. Downfall is they don't go very high in terms of watts. Cost more too. Should have bought A Honda.
