dudes got skills. hes definitely playing it with the backing track around the same volume as the track he is. if you PAY ATTENTION and listen to him doing solos, the guitar is perfectly hitting notes on time, even though its awesome, and its still distinguishable as well as being loud enough to hear him. hes not trying to cheat and make it seem like hes playing everything perfect. you just cant hear good enough lol. go bash on some other people to make yourself feel better. your probably just jealous hes got choice gear and you dont!
That's a beautiful guitar, I remember trying to play this on my Jackson and I could never get it down, you make it seem so effortless and flawless 10/10 and as huge periphery fanboy this made it 100× better
I looked down at the 2 minute mark to see comments, looked back up and you were playing a different guitar, freaked me out 😂 awesome cover dude, the hardest thing I've found with learning periphery songs is remembering the notes, always so much going on and such obscure meters
Me too lol. I was reading a comment about the reverse Ibanez headstock and was thinking hell yeah and looked up and was like wtf thats not an rg!! Took me a sec to realize he switched wasnt looking at the body
+aris koskinas no HIS tone is amazing, I love this video. i'm just saying that buying expensive gear doesn't make you sound better.. even with amp sims, if you don't dial things in really well, you're going to end up with a bad sound.
But with an amp sim , you can download a good sound if you don't have a good ear ! With a real amp it's very difficult to rec in a bedroom with a microphone ! I think for recording , amp sims rules
Going to echo a lot of the sentiments here and say that the backing probably needs lowered a tad, and some tidying up in the admittedly difficult parts of the video. However, the visual quality is fantastic and it's nice to see something in 60fps; made me get my D3300
god, people say guitar players speed up their videos. Well this kid looks like he slowed it down because the riffs were too easy. Amazingly done my man.
Great cover man. You have a beautiful collection of gear and guitars, that's awesome. Tackling a long, technical song like that is tough but you did it. Rock on dude \m/
Great cover, well done on Mark's solo as well man. However, I do miss some notes and feeling in your cover of Misha's jazzy "the alphabet" solo and your guitar volume could've been a little higher overall.
TantricConvulsions Constructive feedback / criticism :P I get a lot of the points some people in the comment section make though, his overall volume is too low, for all we know he could be playing something differently, he missed some notes here and there. You'd figure that when a person has $2200+ guitars, an axe fx, an expensive camera & lens that he'd at least be able to have his mix up to par.
This is really great and super well recorded man. Definitely a resource for learning myself. However, you have a few sour notes in the "I am the destruction" section. It's the same pattern you play down at the 1/3/4th frets, but moved up. Otherwise, great stuff man :D
Hey man great playing. I was looking at picking one of these guys up. Is there anyway i could get a link to the tone used? I would love to play around with it. Keep up the great work!!
Everytime I see this vid somewhere, I have to click and watch it. It's not even one of my favorite songs off Juggernaut but this video is just really good lol What is your (and anyone elses) favorite songs off Juggernaut? I'm curious...
MegaJman86 I would agree those are 2 of my favorites! The Bad Thing and Stranger Things are probably my top two..? Recently I've really gotten into Hell Below and MK Ultra
I'm debating betweeen an Ibanez prestige or EBMM, which guitar do you prefer? And what are the pro's and cons of both? Cheers! and amazing playing! keep killing it
how the hell do you do the slide at 6:11 from 10 to 14 & then hammer on to 21? that thing's been making me its bitch ever since I've been trying to learn it.
God, something just feels right about a reversed Ibanez headstock.
I second that....
☝👍
A knife ?
no it is not right you mango
Temarag I loved het you called him a mango 😂
@@temarag2113 lol well played
Your playing seems to be so effortless and smooth like... Wonderfully done
You make it look so easy!
Once you take your time practicing and learning this song it becomes super fun to play like you almost want to play it
This sounds so good in headphones. You guitar is perfectly in tune with the song, the tone is quite similar to P's tone. And you are soo in sync!
7:01 that mysterious chord

Um kid. I don't think you got a good ear
If we all told him this was perfect, how would he know to get better?
@@sethrich6012 im listening thru monitors and hes correct
Clean playing, clean Guitars, Awesome Sound.
You are the proof, that practicing is the most important thing in playing an instrument.
Great Job ! :)
2:04 periphery chords 101

+Kyle Kean almost as good as my own personal favourite, rrrrrragtime dandies!
those are genuinely the best looking guitars ive ever seen
Bro how is your playing so smooth, its seems like you've been for 10000 years, and that tone is spot on
The whole cover is so awesome 🔥🔥
Literally fucking spot on. I watch this everyday with breakfast...
The playing is sick and the tone just absolutely melts my face
36 people don't have an axe fx 2 . A jbm and a jpx . Any video with an axe fx 2 has perfect sound !!!
aris koskinas χαχαχαχα στανταρ!!!!
+aris koskinas well not really... it's easy to get carried away with amp sims and end up with terrible tone
I don't think that this tone in video is terrible !!!
+aris koskinas no HIS tone is amazing, I love this video. i'm just saying that buying expensive gear doesn't make you sound better.. even with amp sims, if you don't dial things in really well, you're going to end up with a bad sound.

two very beautiful guitars! call me jealous. awesome cover dude!
Very nice cover ;)
This JBM100 is a pure beauty !
Please can you share your patches? This tone is nearly as incredible as your playing! :D
Going to echo a lot of the sentiments here and say that the backing probably needs lowered a tad, and some tidying up in the admittedly difficult parts of the video. However, the visual quality is fantastic and it's nice to see something in 60fps; made me get my D3300
This is Jake's signature gitar, right? It sounds so amazing..
It's really a perfect guitar if you research about it. A masterpiece indeed
The fact that there are this many dislikes is complete ass. This was perfect!
Good job gettin' the whole song down, man. Couldn't have been too easy. Much respect
god, people say guitar players speed up their videos. Well this kid looks like he slowed it down because the riffs were too easy. Amazingly done my man.
That majesty though 😍😍 I’m in love. Outstanding playing too
Just uploaded my own cover of Alpha, you inspired a lot haha!

I just love how badass Jake Bowen's sig is
Top Notch Cover...and so quickly after release too..
Great job.
Probably two of my favourite guitars. Amazingly played!
9:45 what? when have i known periphery to just use a regular bar chord?
They used it quite a bit in the song racecar
Same in sentient glow
Smooth as butter, killer playing man.
Man you have a phenomenal tone. Brilliant cover. Keep it up!
Respect man!! awesome cover, nailed it! epic tone, awesome guitars, just a great cover!

BorisDono I watched it when it was a few days old and there was pretty much half and half likes to dislikes.. I could only put it to jealously haha!
Wow man, i really like your cover, i'm practicing some Periphery stuff and you are a role model! haha
Thanks man this helped me learn a part I was having trouble with. Good job!
Gosh this tone is so good, i need it
Great cover man. You have a beautiful collection of gear and guitars, that's awesome. Tackling a long, technical song like that is tough but you did it. Rock on dude \m/

I love your musicman freetboard..
Great cover, well done on Mark's solo as well man. However, I do miss some notes and feeling in your cover of Misha's jazzy "the alphabet" solo and your guitar volume could've been a little higher overall.
dat critique doe.

DeeZaster its more mate, i dont know the value of the signature periphery ibanez, but the musicman JPX is around 4.5k
Sten Martens I wasn't talking about the JPX. The Ibanez JBM100 is $2399 here
I know I know, just saying :)
Beautiful cover, what camera did you use for this?
I'm using the Panasonic LUMIX G6 camera and OLYMPUS 25mm f1.8 lens :)
You have a facebook?
there is awesome..good cover \m/ #one of my periphery favorit song , btw im from Indonesia.
This is really great and super well recorded man. Definitely a resource for learning myself. However, you have a few sour notes in the "I am the destruction" section. It's the same pattern you play down at the 1/3/4th frets, but moved up.
Otherwise, great stuff man :D

Beuatifull guitar
fuck bro your feel is RELAXED nice stuff
So nice!
Awesome cover, dude. Really like the JBM100 too, although it would have looked better if the head stock wasn't inverted.
Great Cover dude! :)
Rad playing dude!
great work dude
Wow that bridge is incredibly high dude, is it because of the tuning?
if u got nothing nice to say, just don't say it at all
btw great playing omo very minimalistic hand movement
Awesome !
perfection!
Best 12 minutes on TH-cam :)
Great cover dude! Really impressive! The only thing I'm confused about is: why did you use two guitars? Was it for tonal reasons? Thanks man.
Nice cover man :D
nice! Did you get this tone directly from axe fx 2? or did you add other effects as well? also, did you plug your guitar straight through the computer
Hey man! Awesome cover! I also have an Axe FX2! Are you just using the Bulb presets? And running the Axe FX straight into a DAW?
nice cover
Drop C (CGCFAD) string gauge 11-46....if I had to guess ;)
Mark Richman are you sure about that 11-46? 46 seems light for a dropC
10-52 will work great on a 25.5" scale
Please PLEASE do a rig rundown!
Ibanez, Musicman, axe fx xD
very impressive.
nice!
fucking flawless. great.
No human being should be able to play this well
Everytime I see this vid somewhere, I have to click and watch it. It's not even one of my favorite songs off Juggernaut but this video is just really good lol What is your (and anyone elses) favorite songs off Juggernaut? I'm curious...
Mine are probably Rainbow Gravity and Stranger Things
MegaJman86

Very cool dude. Love this shit.
I can hear your guitar fine lol
How is the JBM100? Considering selling 2 guitars later on to get a nice one in its price range
I own the JBM20 and it's great. The finition is really good and the sound is awesome and versatile.
how the hell do you do the slide at 6:11 from 10 to 14 & then hammer on to 21? that thing's been making me its bitch ever since I've been trying to learn it.
THE SKILL
god damn dude, the equipment your using is well over 6000 bucks !!
so shiny JPX!
wow man, clearly a lot of budget. nice cover thou!
This cover is fucking dope.
Why do the vocals at 10:10 sound so familiar?
Dat MusicMan with the Blackhawk in the Bridge..... Mmmm
