This song is superb. All the elements of it and in particular the lift in the chorus, the timbre of the singer's voice, the slide guitar, the guitar in general- all very well mixed and arranged and how it becomes another song at the end. Brilliant

Great song! I discovered it while listening to Fordham University radio during a long drive down I-95. The song reminds me of another cool, under-recognized song but I can't recall who sang that other song either. Geeesh! It's really tough for talented new musicians to break through. I hope we'll hear more from them. Thank God for college radio keeping cool songs from new artists like Middle Kids on the air waves.

Middle Kids, I'll have y'all know that several years into a depressive snag, I was out distance running to this jam in particular and got so improbably fired up that I found myself jumping in place like a maniac before I gunned it the last few ragged miles back toward the edge of town, appropriately enough. (An elderly Chinese couple happened to be in the vicinity but made no comment on my leaping around like a diseased rabbit.)
