Kendra was my assistant coach during my senior year of college golf at UNT. This video for some reason brings me a smooth ray of calm happiness in my heart knowing she is at a place in her life to share the story that she may have struggled to open up about in the past. She had the kindest soul, one hell of a golfer, and could dress to turn heads in all occasions. The camera did not do this lady any justice, she is so much prettier in person, yall. We've lost contact after I graduated college but it humbles me to know that I have had the opportunity to cross paths with this brave soul.

Discovered this through Rich Roll's podcast. Thank you so much for sharing. I'm an educator, and I'm discovering how important it is to understand gender identification. For the first time this year (I'm in my 16th year of teaching at a law school), I asked students which pronouns they prefer. Out of 80 students, 2 expressed a preference for they/them/theirs. It made me wonder how many times in the past I had used assumed pronouns and gotten it wrong. You are amazing, and you are serving us all by sharing your story to help us understand that we are not living in a binary world.

I rarely respond to videos on TH-cam, but this video deserves one.
I’ve never known, nor heard of this genetic type morph, but to hear of your story shows that, with internal strength, *anything* can happen for the better in life. I personally don’t have AIS, but it makes me wonder if there were people that I either knew, or had ran into in my life that did have it, and how much it changed their social lifestyle.
Every person is an individual. Each one is unique in their own skin. They all have challenges that no one else can truly relate to. I now know of a genetic difference that I didn’t know before, thanks to your story, Kendra. The best thing is though, is the fact that *your* story will help *others* with the same challenges you dealt with, thus giving *their lives* a much better chance of being that much more successful and happy in the short term, as well as long term.
Again, thank you for sharing to the world who you are, Kendra. It touches more souls in a positive, uplifting way than you could ever imagine.

Deeply moving your story is. You have compelled me to think through some biases I think I have. I want to thank you for that. You are very brave. And you have a helluva golf swing. I have a feeling you have done more good in this video than any of us can imagine.

I rarely comment on TH-cam videos but I really could not go past this. Firstly Kendra, thank you so much for your honesty. It's truly awe inspiring. Hearing about the mental struggle which lead to you giving up your career in your sport must have been heart wrenching. I loved your gracious thinking around your parents and the Dr's, understanding that, yes it could have been dealt with better, but that your Mum and Dad were doing the best they could acting on the advice of Dr's who were doing the best they could also. The fact that you've chosen to view it that way and not experience it as a victim speaks volumes about the person you are, and that person, well she's beautiful!

You should be proud of who you are PERIOD! The hell with what other people may think or say they have no clue what you have and are living through. Stand tall and walk proud Kendra you deserve it and need not live your life in any other way. Not your fault not in your control just embrace it. And get back to playing golf it IS what you were born to do regardless of your gender situation. Thank you for sharing your story it is as everyone has said very powerful and moving!

Thank you for your video. I see your brave and sweet soft tender both side in you. It broke my heart and tears on my face while watching it and reading the article. Because your video and the article help me to connect scientifically a dot between AIS and a binary forced choice in a gender.box. I want to see you playing in LPGA tournaments years to come. Forgive my bias and believe. Cheers!

    • @mpaulk2023

@egobaby Kendra didn’t have a choice in this. No body with ASD does. Unlike you, or I, she was *born* looking like a female. If you daughter was born a female; translation, she had all of the physical aesthetics of a female...convincing enough that the doctors and nurses at the hospital put that on the *birth certificate*, but then, as she aged, noticed genetic, as well as possibly physical differences that was proven out to be ASD, would you still be saying what you are here and now; or would you be singing a different tune, because *your own *daughter** has it?
I believe, with full certainty, that the person who is not only confused, but more importantly naive, is *you*, and I pray that you realize that and this video can still change your perspective on how *genetics* can affect one’s life.
