I want everyone who said that Hurrem is a bad mother for forcing Mirihmah to marry Rustem to say the same about Valide.Did Valide ask Hatice her opinion on the marrige?NO SHE DID NOT.Valide just told her daughter that she and the sultan deemed this random guy Hatice never met appropriate to be her husband and Hatice had no choice But to accept. No one,not Valide nor Sultan Süleyman,bothered to ask If she wants to marry,because this is how it was done at that time. Also,Hurrem forced Mirihmah to marry in order to protect her sons,not just for the sake of power alone.Valide did not have this reason,as her son was already on the throne.She just did not think that Hatice’s opinion in this matter is relevant.
