They don’t serve the margaritas we had elsewhere on the ship. So that’s a great question because they don’t have a bar there. Wouldn’t hurt to go up to the host stand and ask. There’s a good chance that they’d sell it to you. Although maybe not if you have t he drink package bc if lots of people went just for margs it would be really disruptive. Nonetheless, it doesn’t hurt to ask.
😄 I take it that mean's you were on the NYC to Reykjavik cruise with us! I wasn't 100% impressed by NCL or the ship. Except all the food was good. And no, I don't blame them for the weather, but they didn't adequately prepare us for not getting to Reykjavik until disembarkation day. They kind of implied that we'd still get a partial day the day before. What did you think?
I enjoyed the comedians and I even sat with you and husband on the last night. I was disappointed by the weather, though I appreciate the 25% FCC. Having the PhD in Norwegian along with being a veteran gets me some great rates for NCL so I'll try them again, but I think Prima was overhyped.
Oh right! I didn't recognize you from your profile photo lol. (bc it's your cat not your face... jokes are funnier when you have to explain them, right?) NCL got so expensive that the 25% coupon hasn't found me anything I want to book yet. I'm hoping for a last-minute deal that I can add it to so I can take advantage of it. I really wanted to use the 50% one, so we're gonna give Prima a second chance by going on Viva. I'll try to report back whether this ship class is better when it's not effectively winter.
We went to this restaurant on the Viva last week. Sadly, it was the only specialty restaurant that we were disappointed with and, quite frankly, the only poor dining we had in all of the restaurants on board. The main culprit was way too much salt in everything, especially the guacamole.
This was our least favorite as well. I didn't mind any of the food, but for the cost (even if using a dining credit), it's not on par with the other options.
They do not, unfortunately. It's just the tiny restaurant and no live music. There isn't a different bar elsewhere that fits that bill either. Carnival Vista, Horizon, Panorama, Mardi Gras, Celebration, and Jubilee has that though :)
I didn't try. They told us one soup-or salad, one entree, one dessert. But at Cagney's we were able to get more than that, so maybe? Sorry I can't be more helpful!
I would never use a specialty dinner for a cheap Mexican restaurant. Too many NCL menus don't have images so you can't tell the portion for the money. To me Moderno's was a better choice. Not sure why they couldn't make a Mexican restaurant with certain foods on a salad bar and main items in small portions you could get additional plates of.
We'd been to Le Bistro and Cagney's on other ships and we had 4 dining credits BC we booked this during covid. We might not have otherwise tried it. They tried to make it fancy Mexican which didn't work and wasn't very good. I won't be going back ever to be honest.
Are you able to go to Los Lobos for just a margarita? Do they serve that margarita elsewhere on the ship?

I remember seeing you with the Gilmore Girls shirt on.

I misunderstood the terms of the 50% so I booked one next year out of Rome in July. My wife insisted we still take it as she wants to go to Rome.

Do they have a bar where people can enjoy the live entertainment with Mexican cocktails while not dining?

Will they let you swap out the soup/salad option for something else? Anybody know?
