😂
😂😂😂
I know, I wonder why they call it "Happy Hour"?
@katyedwards3935 Happy Hour is associated with cheap drinks which they feature
@@jordanbowler5047 I know, it was a joke.
Rachel, Your new hair cut looks GREAT! Very healthy, shinny, and becoming !!
Hair looking great Rachel. I love the change! It looks so fresh!
I bought my own car, paid for my own gas, insurance, repairs. Everything. That's how I will do it with my son.
Oh no. My kids walked in when you said Santa clause is not real 😭
This is why I have hope for these two. She mentioned the arbitrage of a high yield against the tax refund. Now if we can just get them to recognize how important the 401k match is we will be on the right track.
Loved Rachel's honesty about reconsidering their annual investing. That's REAL! (And girl, that tan is poppin'! 😎)
George and Rachel, thanks for keeping it real❤. Love you guys.
George! My wife and I are going on the cruise next year, never considered international fees. You guys might be saving us some unwanted surprises
They talked about phone bills, just be careful and make sure your phone carrier allows services on the cruise. I went on an Ensenada, Mexico cruise and while my carrier allowed free calling, texting, and data in Mexico, I was charged $40 for two minutes of calling because we were "at sea".
Mia’s da da was the best part of the episode ❤
omg yes
"You know where money comes from? Work. Not the freaking Easter bunny. This is socialism"
That impression 🤣🤣 George fired in 3...2...
OMG that was hilarious!~
Luckily Dave loves his snark!
No chance Dave watches this show. Lol
It's funny because its true
Rachel! I love your hair! You look great this episode! George the open jacket is nice too ☺️
Way to go George, that's wonderful. She's a doll.
I love your show, keep it up! ❤😊
Agave nectar comes from the agave plants. The sap gets pressed out from the core. Tequila is also made from agaves.
Rachel's hair! So cute, Rachel!
My wife and I decided to not do Santa with our kids going forward, our oldest knows, and we have a 3 year old and one due in September. Not everyone agrees but we just feel like it will be better to not focus on Santa and focus on the religious aspect.
Your baby is so sweet George ❤
Really enjoying the conversation and personal stories and tid bits ☺️
Rachel, your hair looks so good on you! 🔥
I loved the longer episode. Will you make it a full hour for us?? 🤌♥️
13:09 the look on their faces talking about George's child is 😍🥰
15:10 I also never heard of a tax refund until I was an adult and all my friends were excited about tax season. My mom is very particular about fine print and always made sure she never owed any taxes or received a big refund and I have always been the same. Once I was 20 I started noticing my friends excited for their tax checks that I wasn't getting which made me sad until the Ramsey show taught me that my friends are just loaning their money to the gov interest free.
Love the outfit Rachel! 🤩
Reminds me of the 70’s!! I loved those clothes!
In George’s defense, I think I was part of that CD club or I might’ve gotten a CD from the back of a cereal box 😊
I think I was too. Oh wasn’t it BMG music club!!
I went to the dentist regularly when I was younger. When I was in my 30's, the dentist tried to talk me into doing more dental work even after microplaning, a dental implant, root canals, veneers, etc...he said it was necessary if I wanted to "keep my teeth from falling out by the time I was 50". I never went back and have only been to a dentist a few times for a cleaning. I'm 63 and still have ALL my teeth.
Never go to a dentist with a ton of student loan debt
If you don't have any major dental deformities, then all you really need is to floss and brush twice a day. Boom! One dentist visit a year
On that topic on home maintenance cost, here in the greater Seattle area, pest control cost about $80-$100 a month, lawn mowing also about the same. I could definitely see avg cost over $6k now a year.
Yes, agave is from the agave plant and is jealthier than table sugar. It also has a lower glycemic index that would be helpful for diabetics.
Thanks for the travel debit card hack! & this year when I hear Jingle Bells, I will think of the Kamel family singing Santa Claus, Santa Claus, Santa Santa Claus 🎅
I gave my daughter a beeper. Then she found a phone and called me back. That was before cell phones.
Agave is the plant fermented to make tequila, which is why it pairs well
Always entertaining show! I hate life admin, especially dealing with large companies 😬
George Mia is adorable and the video of her calling you DaDA is too cute for words. It warms my heart. Rachel I agree that learning Santa Claus wasn't real too away my Christmas magic. Being an Adult isn't as fun as I thought it was going to be.
19:23 I remember as a young childm there used to be a payphone at a gas station and I cried when they took it out/away. It felt so sad.
As a 40 years old man I will say that being an adult is great. Also I have a job well paid and love my job. So I enjoy a lot more going to work than going to school.
I also told my sister when she was a child (she is 17 years younger) that being an adult is great and now she can confirm that she agrees with me.
Ok I’m in love with this show. Keep it up 👍. It’s fun to watch.
Booked on the cruise, can’t wait 🎉❣️
Jealous! Have fun 🎉
I love the isn’t it a shame perspective!
Mia ! We want to hear more from precious Mia !
Nice hair cut, Rachel
Finally I have been waiting to see the new episode with Rachel's summer hair :)
Right. I love her hair
Young healthy people still get cancer. I work in a cancer center and we see young healthy people all the time. Get your physical Rachel!
My parents never did Santa with us and we don't do Santa with our kids. We firmly believe that it's lying. When other kids talk to my kids about it we become the jerks if we don't lie. So we say "I don't believe in Santa". It's the perfect none lying answer.
Mannnn I've been feeling like this for the last 5 xmasses I should do the same.
It's not that deep.
I agree. My parents did santa, but if I ever have kids I don't want to do santa or any of the others because it legitimately is lying to your kids. There's this stupid social pressure to keep up this long term lie to all kids under at least 10 and then you have to turn around and confess to them that santa isn't actually real and it's disappointing to those that want to believe. Thankfully I wasn't that caught up in it and I think I knew before my parents told me so it wasn't devastating to me, but I could see that being an issue for some kids and I don't want to do that to my future kids.
@@NathanCrouse611 Lmao wow. You must be fun at parties.
I believed in Santa. It was fun.
When my dental appointments were in the morning, I had all sorts of expensive problems that needed to be fixed. When I switched to the last appointment of the day, all of a sudden my teeth are great! 😅😅😅
Wait, how’s that related ?
@@katieryb2919 they were so ready to leave for the day that they stopped looking for random things to fix to get a few extra bucks
Rachel, you need to have your well woman exam every year. 😮
George can you go more detail about the vacation account?
Best part of the video when they explain what is a agave😂😂😂😂 I watched it 5 times
Adulthood IS the best thing ever! More freedom to choose, then pay or benefit from your choices.
“I believe in a thing called love! I believe in a lot of things!” -George Kamel
A Muslim fan here 😊 keep up the great work, Rachel and George! - I hope you can recommend non-alcoholic cocktails too! 🍹 😊
They do! As a pregnant lady I also appreciate it :)
My high school had a pay phone in it so after a school dance when I was ready to go home I’d have to have a quarter to call home lol. I do have to say that it is awfully fun to be an adult and pick all the furniture and pretty things for our home and to pick the foods and meals we get to eat. But ya, the house cleaning and laundry side of it got old real fast 😂
Even as a kid I helped with laundry and cleaning.
I did too but it’s definitely a different feeling when you just help with a few aspects of it as opposed to being in charge of it all. And I have three small kids who aren’t of age to really help yet 😅
You didn’t call collect to let your parents know that you were done. They always denied the call and came for us.
Nope I wasn’t that smart apparently 😂😂
@@leilacavender4066 depends on the age. Five and up can help.
Great episode
Sweet Baby Mia saying Dada was the best 🩷
that was funny!
Just because you don't go to the dentist, does not make it a scam. Life insurance isn't a scam just because you haven't made a claim.
Bruh that cruise is 4K
Much better show. The last few months haven’t been so enjoyable. TY
Property tax is the biggest and most widely excepted scame I can think of. some of the houses we looked at had a higher monthly property tax than our rent! just regular old 3-4 bed 2 bath houses in NJ, and we lived in a comparable rent stabilized appartment.
*accepted
Loved this episode your a kid one day and adult another. Would love to go on a cruise, but working to pay off the few loans I have to hopefully graduate debt free in December first can’t wait to do that debt free scream
“I’m the modern day Job” 😂 Ooookayyyy, George, back it up a bit.
I remember using a dial up phone to call all my friends and family. I also used a pay phone.
I FOUND the place, actual building, that sent out that 99cent Record Club! Its in Pennsylvania.
took your advice and called Zander for life insurance, they were $83/month more than the one I have now??????
I filled out the quick form and as soon as I pressed send I had 2 reps calls me within 15 min. I blocked the number 😂
15:24 Excited about getting money that already belonged to them? And thinking it’s a gift?
Staying up late just to punish yourself 😂
Nice Killshot Nikes GK!
Columbia House 😂
George, your video is out today on TH-cam with the STATS you said about how extra money slips outta your hands and that tax refund is used for debt and savings. Pick a side.
Everyone is thinking it. What the heck happened to Rachel’s hair!?! 😮😱
George worrying about using a debit card abroad when most of the rest of the world uses chip-and-pin, but happy to use a normal one at home in USA where staff in restaurants often wander off with your card 🤦♂🤣
Santa, the Easter Bunny, and the tooth fairy may not be real but Jesus is.
25:52 - Same here; no physical in years because the doctor doesn't do anything. 🤷🏻♂️
Those check ups are unnecessary if you are well.
Paid off houses should not have to pay property tax
31:31 Rachel doesn't know the title of her own book 😬. "I'm Glad For Where I Am" yikes. They even put that in the description. The book is titled "I'm Glad For What I Have"
I'm with Rachel on the dentist, I think you can space out dentist visits to once every 5-10 years
Didn't have a favorite. On a no spend month
I hate driving/buying gas 😂 Being an adult is all about trying to find cheap hacks and not spending your money while trying not to become the old grumpy and bitter neighbor from living off your crappy retirement fund
The tax refund section I'm confused on. We make about $60,000 how does one not loan out money to the gov.?
Work with your tax professional to adjust your withholding.
If you put $50k in a HYSA, you will make enough interest to pay property tax. At least for many states/homes. Do that after you pay off your home then you now can technically live for free ignoring food.
Invest why let your money just sit there doing minimal work?
@@electrodynamicorb6548 Because the HYSA deposits in my account monthly and I can move money in an out easily. I have retirement accounts I never touch and they do most of the heavy lifting.
@@electrodynamicorb6548 and it is 4.25% so it is pretty solid. My retirement portfolios exceed 10% annually.
George, I can’t believe that a couple of old ladies would be technically smart enough to steal someone’s identity.
I see my primary care physician every July. Everything was fine last year, and yesterday my cholesterol was 300. Now I am dieting and exercising and my recheck is in 3 months. Ugh. Get your lab work done every year, people!
The doctors just want to immediately put people on medicine because they make money. They won't recommend diet changes or exercise
George, so glad your beautiful hair is growing back. You're already cool George, a hood haircut does not make anyone "cool". I love your hair, love you being you, handsome in your elegant hairstyle. Thank you for your style George.
What is wrong with you
What is magical is the birth of Christ. Santa has become a distraction. No to Santa.
Here’s my 2 cents and I’ll be ducking from the tomatoes….
We have nine kids and never did the Easter Bunny, Tooth Fairy, or Santa Claus. Most of our children are adults with wonderfully creative minds and are very artistic in things they do. They never once have told us they wish we would have done those things. Three of them have children and they don’t plan to do those things with their children. Our take is that they can’t see those things and they can’t see Jesus so what happens in their minds when you swore all those years that those things were all very real and at some point they are all fake except Jesus? We have still made the holidays magical and special and have no regrets.
So they don't believe in anything bigger than themselves? They have no belief in anything they can't see/touch/taste? They have no faith?
Your children also wouldn't ask for something they had no experience with...so if they didn't experience Santa, or the fun of it, then they wouldn't know to ask it.
I have found people who do the whole "can't see it...not real" thing tend to be cynical when it comes to many things in life (if not life overall).
Britney Spears 😂😂
I understand you have to generalize when you make certain statements but maybe once in a blue moon you could throw in the caveat for those people that don't nicely fall into the average. "Do a will. It only takes 10 minutes" or my favorite, "Get term life. It's really affordable." I would like to think there are more than a few people who are following the Ramsey principles but are now at retirement age and their previous term-life policy has reached the end of its term. Getting another policy at that age is NOT affordable. Just wanted to throw that out there... (And yes, it's through Zander.)
finding out santa isn't real actually hurt me😭😭I'm 19 and still in disbelief
St. Nicholas was a real person. When I told my children about Santa, I told them that I was continuing the love and giving that St. Nicholas spread and now they are invited to be a part of the Santa Society to love others in secret during the holiday season. Join the society-it’s so much fun. ☺️
@@stacyb6278 that is so smart I love it😭🤞🏽I'm joining once I have children of my own
Get your teeth cleaned Rachel. I Just went after 4 years and now I'm looking at 3 cavities and probably getting 2 wisdom teeth out.
I wasn’t able to do Santa with my kids because they were convinced he was real because they saw him in a parking lot, but they were sure Jesus wasn’t real because they hadn’t seen him. I was primed to do the Santa thing, but Holy Spirit said not to do it with these kids.
I think its important to go to the dentist regularly, it could go both ways. I recently went and needed one cavity to fill. That was after almost 8 years of not going for a cleaning or check up. I had some significant build up bit the hygienist was actually quite impressed with my teeth knowing I hadnt been to a dentist in that long. lol
Capital One cards, debit and credit, don't charge international fees as well
Yes there’s an agave plant I just planted one❤
“You seem like a big talker, but not on the phone?” 🤣🤣🤣
Love Rachel. Truly. But dear, you are orange today. What is going on?
Santa is real! 🧑🎄 🎄 ❤
That is one of my husband’s rants: property tax is wrong! Sales tax, income tax, car tag taxes are all related to things you can control, property tax drives people out of their homes, their land, and if an area gets gentrified, people who have lived there for generations can easily get pushed out, even if they are working… look at beach towns. So many people are having to leave our town because the property taxes (and insurance) have gone through the roof because all of the investors have come in and spent a ton of money to purchase what were until a decade ago middle class homes. We’ve lost wonderful neighbors who owned their homes but simply couldn’t afford to live here anymore. The neighbor, over a period of 5-10 years, has gone from being a family neighborhood to being 33% AirBnB. It’s truly awful
My rant is there are too many taxes! We pay income tax from our paycheck. Then everything you buy with that money has tax again! Sales tax, cars, property tax, etc. But we already paid tax on all our money in the first place. It’s too much!
As far as I know Tequila are also made of the agave plant, that is why the agave syrup goes so well with it.
Turn the A/C or heat on with a door open. Yes, I am heating the neighborhood.
LOL. Being raised in SWFL, I frequently heard "close the door, you're letting the cool air out" or "let's not cool the outside".
I’ve been trying to get my husband life insurance for like 2 months. There’s a lot of steps, it takes a lot of time to set up. So just a heads up for people who don’t have it done yet. Hopefully we can afford that extra $100/mo lol
I have prepaid for 25 a month with unlimited data. I never had the contract phone after my mom had to pay so much money to get social service to answer the phone so we could get financial help.
I had a speech impediment when I was younger and it was extremely bad, took me until I was about 15-18 before I could speak at a below normal but understandable level, social skills practically none, anxiety for everything and probably quite a few mental health issues, I'm now making more money then I ever thought and planning on an early retirement following the ramsey plan (with one modifications of aiming for 30% into retirement instead of 15%) which I plan to do until I'm 30 if everything goes well, my childhood was completely messed up so I'm at least going to live the life I want and that involves no debt (:
