@@peterdoneganmusic to be honest: no. Country is no biggie here in Germany except two guys from Berlin that started with Country covers of Pop and Rock songs. They are called BossHoss. It is very difficult for one man and his guitar. No one knows how live music will work post pandemic anywhere. I think your on a good path releasing your music online. Radio is still important, but to get your song at least played once is also still a miracle. There is no active live music scene in Germany that at least pays your trip and food and sleeping place. Have you tried to play near Mönchengladbach when you visited your inlaws? Nearby town called Krefeld has a nice club called "Kulturrampe", but I don´t know their conditions.

Live venues in Canada are on the east coast ( Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, P.E.I ) west coast ( Vancouver, Calgary ) and Montreal. Toronto is hit and miss. I used to live there 3 years ago.
