    I always start my cuttings in water; my last one grew all along my windows, probably 15 feet long 😊. When it was time to repot I cut them all back and started new plants, the old one got new soil after cleaning some roots off. Now I need to find me one of those sticks, that looks so nice!!!
    Thanks for your great videos!

    Another way to prevent soil from falling out of the drainage holes is to use a coffee filter paper or window screen mesh, and I've found that it doesn't block the drainage of water quite as much as gravel does. This is a great video, and I'm really glad I found this channel!

    Hi, we live in germany and we have french windows ( 7ft tall glass window). Is it enough that these plants stay near such windows? I plan to tie a thread near a wall and let it climb that.
    We dont have bright sun from Nov to March here ( only occasionally).
    I dont want it to have large leaves, but just grow in height fast, any tips for that?

    • @urbangardeningofficial
      @urbangardeningofficial  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Prune side shoots in the starting phase so that it can grow tall .....you can spray with balanced water soluble fertilizer such as NPK 19:19:19 after every 15 -18 days to boost growth (mix half table spoon in 1 litre water and spray on the leaves ...spray 30-50 ml on the leaves and add 200-250 ml in the soil )

    I have a number of questions, I hope you will clear my doubts. It is peak summer in the north with very high temperature even inside . I had planted pothos in water about a month back . Rooting did occur but the new tender leaves are turning black and it seems that the plants have stopped growing further. Please advice. I further want to ask if I should try propagating pothos in soil during this peak temperature. Third question is whether it is madatory to repot the plants after they have developed roots as shown in this video?

    Hello! Firstly thanks for this well explained tutorial. I think I have potted my Pothos with one nice in the root. I just hope it will grow :/. My question is- one of my Pothos has overgrown moss stick. It has reached to the top and also getting bushy. What should I do?

  • @berengerchristy6256
    @berengerchristy6256 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I suck at gardening. I nearly killed my pothos by overwatering. I managed to save 3 cuttings. Since then 1 cutting has made a new leaf and another has a new leaf about to sprout, but it's been 1.5-2 months. I keep the plant in the bathroom. It probably gets 1-2 hours of direct sunlight and the rest is just ambient light. Should I move it deeper into the house? At least none of the leaves have turned yellow

    • @urbangardeningofficial
      @urbangardeningofficial  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      no...some light is necessary for its healthy growth ...moving deep into the house will cause the plant to become leggier n its leaf colour will also change (will turn lighter )

    • @berengerchristy6256
      @berengerchristy6256 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ok I will keep it where it is. I think I will try re doing the fertilizer. Apparently you are supposed to put it just under the soil. I had mixed the fertilizer with dry soil before potting the cuttings. I pruned the roots about a week ago so hopefully there is more root growth when I check in another couple weeks. Thanks

    Thank you for a great video! The leaves are so big! Do you give your pothos any fertiliser?

      Hey Barbara, not sure if you’re still looking for these plants but they sell them in all Bunnings I’ve been in for $10-20, they’re in the indoor section near the ferns and bonsai’s 🤗
