Some people have complained about a squeeling noise after a few miles driven with it. I'm looking to buy one but I don't want to ruin the stock one if it's gonna squeal 😬
That noise is from a leak at the plastic charge tube. Best to upgrade the charge tube also, but if re-using it make sure its sealed otherwise air can leak between the bov and plastic creating a " whistle" like noise.
With out a doubt you get the best and not as expensive as some others .. Set something up where you can purchase extra filter as well thanks Zeke ... Ordering mine as soon as you open up today
Do you suggest the light spring or heavy spring and why. Im playing with adjustments now to keep the valve closed as much as possible until let off so were not driving around with it blowing 75% of the time. Gonna try the heavy spring and .4 of spacers and hope that does the trick.
The XPT's should have some blow off during idle and cruising speeds. Trying to keep the valve closed with a extremely heavy spring builds heat in the charge tube from pushing air on the backside of the essentially closed throttle blade. The purpose of the spring in a BOV is not to hold your BOV closed under boost pressure! All BOVs have a reference line coming into the top of the BOV from your post-throttle body intake manifold. Under high boost, the force holding the BOV closed is BOOST! The pressure coming through the reference line is equal to the pressure under the BOV piston. Therefore a VERY mild spring will hold it shut just fine under these conditions. Your goal when selecting a BOV spring and adjusting the BOV should NOT be to select a spring based on your boost level. Using the very smallest amount of spring energy possible equates to allowing the BOV to snap open as rapidly as possible when pressure release is necessary.
@@RPMPowersports Wouldnt the light weight of the spring more less be for holding closed under vacuum pressure from the top line since the pressure there is so much lighter that it wouldnt ever be too heavy to make a difference on blow off pressure from the charge tube. to find the happy medium between vacuum pressure and the presser from the blow off. Thats more of an asumption from me
I understand under high boost thats what holds it closed, but from what i can tell at a low idle/throttle its more the vacuum keeping the BOV open since there shouldnt be any blow off at idle
Question here! I bought and installed this BOV on my 2021 xp4 turbo and when venting to the atmosphere it smells like the machine is running very rich. Normal? Ideas? Don't want to ruin a new machine. I connected all back together like stock and smell is gone. Wondering if it has to do with MAF in the intake.
So I got a question. If I vent to atmosphere do I gotta worry about water? Say I find myself going though higher water or mud is that gonna cause a issue? As in water sucking or leaking in though the BOV? Thanks!
No issues with water. The BOV will never intake. We have a video on our channel of us fully submerging the BOV. We do recommend running the filter if you will be in a bunch of mud.
I just bought one and installed it but I want some whistle to the noise and don’t know how to get it to whistle, I’ve seen other with the same bov and theirs whistles
E-mail us pictures of the install so we can verify you have the valve installed the correct direction. This is a common mistake. Ours does not install the same direction as OEM per the instructions.
This videos 3+ years old. We didn't even offer filters on them back then, and we still don't even recommend running them unless you're in deep mud all the time.
@@johnathonlowery4752 Both questions covered in the instructions. #1 is in park its very hard to build boost, boost or air pressure is what creates the noise. #2 the hissing is not sucking noise but venting. vacuum is holding the valve open BEFORE boost. Boost itself is what closes the valve.
We've sold literally thousands and thousands of these. Anyone have issues has an underlying problem. 99% of the time they skip the instructions and install the BOV the same way as stock when in fact ours installs opposite.

There is literally a chrome decal on the top of the box with a QR code to pdf, and video instructions. We’ll ignore the fact that there is 50 other Install videos online of this bov on every variation of Turbo RZR. 🤦♀️

Show me the difference in the 3 springs I received. Tell me what the extra o-rings are for. Don’t get me wrong, the install isn’t hard, but I was looking for you guys to inform me on the ins and outs of your product. Also, the link on your website brings you to this video. After a quick review, I’m not the only one that had this comment.

Thoughts on why I have a boost over pressure sensor code now? Dealer said they believe it to be my rpm bov vent to atmosphere, 22 pro xp

The BOV doesn't really have anything to do with your air to fuel mixture. It just replaces what is there with a billet unit.

Is there a spring inside ?
I just ordered my. Dose the stiffer spring that makes the loudest noise come inside the valve or?
The lighter spring would make it the loudest will be installed.
I was wondering does changing that mess with any of the extended warranty’s ? Or is it all good threw there eyes aswell?

I have a 2021 rzr 1000 xp4 highlifter it’s not turbo , but can I still installed it ??? Or those it have to be turbo for it to work ?

Just bought this , when casually on driving, should the blow off valve be opening/ slightly letting air out?
That’s normal, the BOV piston is just being lifted from vacuum while not under boost.

If its not under boost this is normal. You can switch your springs up as well! We run the heavier spring.

Any 1" filter will work, we you can put a diversion hose on the end to point it away from the elements, however, a filter is NOT needed with ours.

No it would not, this components job is to expel boost. The wastegate is what applies boost.
