This might seem ridiculously sentimental but I always feel a little pride and a lump in my throat when an ambulances passes and I think "I'm paying for that". In a society that's tilted to the already-haves and the well-off, in this respect at least, people get the help they need, when they need it. The ambulance service and the public health service in general are national treasures that we should respect and guard well.
For most things you pay the taxes. But the government pays for the NHS, unlike where I’m from where you have to pay for healthcare. (Or at least that’s what I thought.)
good to see majority of drivers have good sense...liked the biker who slowed,moved right hand gesturing to show others hes trying to let you pass...susprises me that when im concentrating on the drivers as we go along I start to hear sirens less....after while I imagine you dont notice them so much ? you guys n gals of our services should be proud...im proud of you all...well done.

25+ minutes to get to the emergency is far to long and is the unacceptable result of closing ambulance stations. Good work from the Ambulance Service driver though and most of the other road users.
@@chaoticbean9532 why not? They're proven to be more effective than "normal" sirens since you can feel the vibrations as well as hear the sound. Anything that improves driver awareness is a good thing.
wales air ambulance emergency doctor car and a hampshire charity emergency doc already do use rumbler sirens, hopefully (being something medical pretty sure they will) they are keeping the call logs far back enough to compare against the old car with normal siren (doubt they updated a car in service), a bit of maths with the dispached, arrived and distance should get an idea if its doing anything.
And I was told that Scottish ambulance sirens sounded like Bagpipes. Travelling most on the freeway makes life easier. What was wrong with the patient to warrant a hot run from one facility to another? Cheers from an Australian paramedic.

But these drivers in front are blind, deaf and clueless as they haven’t got a bloody clue where to go and how to let an emergency vehicle on blue’s & two’s pass then. These drivers have to be very professional as they can’t swear at these idiots as their camera system will pick it up and they will be taken off driving duties.
7min 30 sec it seems as though you are almost forcing drivers off the road onto the hard shoulder. Why is there no update on your radio during the journey??? 8min 30 you change the siren a number of times when no one is on the road.... why?
1 Your entitled to your opinion, even when it's wrong. 2 No one was forced off the road onto the hard shoulder. 3 why would I need radio updates? To please you perhaps? 4 I was trying to turn off the siren. 5 If you're just hear for a moan because you don't have mates to talk too then you can Foxtrot Oscar. See what I did there

Changing the siren is changing the tone, so that the sound wave carries further, hence long and short tones. Carries long and short distances. Simple physics really. And even with that people fail to move for emergency services due to lack of awareness and knowing what to do.
@@maxdalton1972 Though, at 7:30 - 7:40 or so, Lane "2" is evidently the running lane and Lane "1" is empty.. there's a reason why civilian drivers aren't using that lane, but that reason wouldn't apply to response drivers. So it does seem a little odd as to why you sat behind the first vehicle without just moving to Lane "1" yourself. They ended up using a lane which as best I can tell, was clear for you all along. I'm sure you had your reasons, but it does look a little odd.

Eddie, you've clearly never driven any sort of emergency vehicle in your life. A lot of the a'holes in the way need a rocket up their bums.
