I've been an AC DC fan since 1978, with my first album being, "If You Want Blood, You've Got It". And I think this song and the Power Up album is a great recording! "Mist of Time" is a tribute to Brother Malcolm, who passed away a few years ago, and also to Bon Scott. I would definitely recommend listening to the entire Power Up album, your ears will love it! Thanks B&B for another great AC DC reaction! Rock On 🎸🤘 🎶
If I'm not mistaken they wrote this song for Angus's brother Malcolm who passed away five or six years ago from Alzheimer's. He played rhythm guitar and sang background vocals. RIP MALCOLM.
It was a combination of factors. He had a heart condition and was using a pacemaker for years. He was also diagnosed with lung cancer previously. Malcolm eventually succumbed to dementia. What a great song and ode to the brains behind the band (Malcolm) since its inception and the band’s own legacy.
@@timothya.olmeda7299The lung cancer thing was absolute rubbish He never had it, nor did he have a pacemaker, He died from dementia on November 18th 2017,Aged 64 🙏🙏 RIP Mal 🙏🙏
These songs are some Mal and Angus worked on years ago, just didn't do anything with them. This one is a tribute to dear Mal😢RIP.❤My favorite song on this album. Listen to it daily😂❤This album kicks azzzz ❤😂
Thank you both for you reactions Bars & Barbells (B&B... if not rejected). I can't add anything useful to previous comments. Though as a kid, I was dragged to an interview with Bon Scott, by my journalist dad. It was with another network than his own, so we had to sneak in with a friend of my father's, who tagged us onto the rear of the interview crew. I wish I could recount an amazing tale about meeting and interacting with Bon Scott. I can't help you. I recall his face, I recall something big going on, even something 'big' about the man too. However, it was well beyond my bed-time... My next recollection is being on the back seat of a sport's car (though I distinctly remember a Holden badge on the steering wheel), and then an almost pleading Dad, asking me not to tell Mum about our evening. I would have agreed with anything at that point. "Just give me some choccy milk and when I collapse, pop me in bed and it will all have been a just been a dream"... Ok, I am paraphrasing what I may have said if I had not already fallen asleep again (and even knew what 'paraphrasing' meant). I still think I missed something special; even if I was technically there. However, again, B&B, thank you both for your reactions! huGGs
Again, I'm crying. Thanks! No, really, thank you. Bon was a big enough loss. But without Malcolm in this world, it feels so fucking empty! Now Phil & Cliff are gone, fuck it sucks! But, they still keep going. Just like Malcolm wanted. The end of this video is so emotional. All the memories, the gigs I've been to. So overwhelming! Notice, at the end, Malcolm & Bon were the last to fade.😢
Keep in mind, Brian Johnson is 76 years old. He was 72 at the time this album came out. I hear there is a tour in the works. I will be there if at all possible.
Nice job of producing this video to give the impression of a live performance of the song using older live video, since the pandemic was preventing live shows at the time.
the videos they did for power up were during covid so each band member were in different places doing their bit. it was then edited to make it look like they were playing together
This album is created from bits and pieces of older music they never put out. Things Malcolm helped create. As you go through the album you can pick out sounds from the past. I have not yet tried to tie a new song to an old album but someone probably has.
This old 70 year Australian nutter this was written for Malcolm young Angus brother thank you ❤ also Brian Johnsin went deaf for a while i am sure people know moire about it cant spell ❤😂😂😂😂
Check it out. Brian might be like 76ish and Angus like 69ish butt damn they are gonna try 1 more time!!! Legendary!!!!! AC/DC announced their 2024 world tour ‘POWER UP’ European Tour recently. Angus, Brian, Stevie, and Matt will be joined by Chris Chaney to carry the torch for Cliff. The tour will play shows across Germany, Italy, Spain, The Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland, England, Slovakia, Belgium, France & Ireland this Summer. Just F’ing unbelievable!!!! So says Austin Tx!!! 🤘🤘🤘🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸😎🍸
Hi Guys, Through The Mists of Time is from the PWR/UP album, Which was released on November 13th 2020 😄😄🤘🤘🎸🎸 AC/DC are going on a European Tour this year as well, Starting in June 😄😄🤘🤘🎸🎸
2020 was the year Covid really hit and the world was a little depressed....so AC/DC gave us the gift of 'Power Up' to make a smile again. Best thing that happened that year (besides Trump getting booted!).
Hey guys/ladies , please check into RIDE-ON. And -DOWN PAYMENT BLUES. Both Bonn Scott songs. Ride On is a killer bluesy side of them, esp Angus’s guitar work. Down Payment Blues has a really HEAVY RIFF from beginning to end!! Both Awesome songs.
Hey guys I have a suggestion for a legendary joke! Norm Macdonald, on his old podcast, tells the greatest “dirty Johnny” joke of all time 😂 definitely worth a watch! However the version he tells on the Howard Stern show isn’t as good so look for the version where Norm is wearing a red hat 🧢
If you watch the video closely you'll see the bell from Hells Bells the cannon from For Those About To Rock We Salute You as well as the stack of TV's from Blow Up Your Video
Again check out the group which the lead singer was touted to be AC/DC singer before Brian Johnson got the job. Noddy Holder and Slade…who Ozzy Osbourne said had one of greatest voices in rock…Mama we’er all crazed now or Cum on feel the Noize, both covered by Quiet Riot in America
Try listening to "Rock The Blues Away." I guarantee you, it's vintage and present AC/DC at their best. It's from the album "Rock or Bust" released just before Power Up. Link to video th-cam.com/video/nyFvDbwyhF8/w-d-xo.html I know copyright will probably prevent the use of VEVO vids but it's worth watching even if you can't react to it.
Black History Month Called They want B&B to check legend Curtis Mayfield- Superfly (73) 🔥 Tiitle track from the groundbreaking soundtrack Love ACDC and they would approve of this suggestion🔥
Please, why would you want to listen to this rubbish, when they have so many great songs '74' through '80'. I can no longer admit to anyone i'm an AC/DC fan , because they immediately associate you with stuff like this. For the last 40yrs AC/DC have been nothing more than a comical parody of a once great rock band.

Yes the pwr up album was written as a tribute to Malcolm same as Back In Black was for Bon

They just announced a world tour this morning
The Mist of Time Love it as the video takes you back through some of the history of ACDC. Born 1973 and still rock the place.
Yeah baby, Power Up!!!! They are legends!!!!❤
VERY NICE!! I'm on my lunch break at a construction site and NOPE never heard this!! GREAT JOB!! Wish it was my job!! Peace 🕊️☮️♾️😎
What a great anthem!ACDC never lets us down!
At the end Malcolm shines brighter than everyone else in the Painting
Yes , This was a dedication to Malcome. The album was made up of some songs that were written by Malcome Angus,,,, but just didn't get to record

Next AC/DC song goes back to their early days: their memorable cover of a blues classic: "Baby Please Don't Go"
Best ACDC album in decades!

This video gave a lot of us the feels, still does.
Good reaction guys I haven't heard this song before. I like it. Thanks
Hard to believe Brian is 77 in October and Angus will be 69 in March, rocking since the 70's and still going ! i mean wow
Bring us You Shook Me All Night Long!🥺

"For those about to rock we salute you" from river plate is a must! It's a song to all who rock!
this is a Masterpiece.
Now you are ready for “A Shot In The Dark”
Great choice. Good reaction. 🕊❤️🎼
Nice job of producing this video to give the impression of a live performance of the song using older live video, since the pandemic was preventing live shows at the time.
Power Up❤baby❤😂
I know the band over 50 years, this is one of their best, totally different
A lot of people don’t see at the end when the light goes out who is the last one lighted up
I’ve never noticed that before, thanks for pointing it out 😢
Shot in the dark and realize are great songs too.
Started in Sydney Australia in 1973, Kids would copy the tattoos on their arms at school in the mid 70's
This album came out (Covid shutdown) when the world really needed some rock
From the latest AC DC album POWER UP. Great record!! I have it on vinyl.
RIP Malcolm.
RIP Malcolm & Bon
Truly "Historical"
They also put footage of their appearance at the Monsters of Rock Donnington in Donnington Park England from 1991 Razors Edge Tour
You have to listen to them in Donington. Top live performance.
Ty i hadn't heard this one ty been listening to them since 74 jailbreak
the videos they did for power up were during covid so each band member were in different places doing their bit. it was then edited to make it look like they were playing together
Just have to say that "Power Age" is the best album they have done. Songs on that album is so good ❤
The pwer up album is amazing!!!
Very Nice!
Power Up which the most electrifying & greatest band ever created does every time the plug their instruments in 👍👍😎
A tribute to Angus's brother Malcolm, legendary musician's 🙌
You guys really need to check out Riff Raff live / 1978. EPIC
Demon Fire - from the same album, its some great song!
malcolm was the backbone

🎶Shot In The Dark🎶 AC/DC - The Pretty Reckless opening 2024
In electric cars, do you have to listen to AC/DC or can it be something current?
This is a good tune but you should really check out the "rockers" from the latest album, such as "Shot In The Dark" or "Realize"
Different sound, yes and yet, you can still tell that it's AC/DC. Right from the very first guitar riff . . . . .
Power Up

Sounds like Jimmy barnes
This is a tribute to Malcolm Young .
They don't do ballads, but this goes pretty close
Ride on is the AC / DC song you want to do. The band died with Bon Scott.
Ride On is such a great blues track.
Funny way of dying.
And was reborn with 'Back In Black', this is a band that will never die.
Please react to The Mists Of Time by John Mayall
