Your garden is stupendous, due to all of your research and hard work. By the way, ants and peonies enjoy a symbiotic relationship. The peony flower bud has a sweet sap attracting the ants. The ants nibble on the bud until the bloom can open which makes them available to pollinators.
Last year, I started buying vintage Pyrex glass dishes with glass lids for storage and reheating!

It’s a symbiotic relationship with ants and peonies. They benefit each other and always go together. I’m sure you can rinse them off with water, maybe gently dip the flower in water ? Not sure. I’ve always had them in the beds near my house, but never had them indoors, if that’s a concern.

Sorry, but total nonsense about the plastic. Tupperware is BPA free and will last a "lifetime". Why get rid of the plastic and change it for glass with a plastic lid? I don't get it? As for toxicity, why use a microwave? Quite debatable? I don't have one for that reason. Being care- and mindfull is good, but it's better to use an re-use. The clothing industry is one of the biggest pollutor of the planet, so maybe buy less? No judgement here, but we all have to think about our footprint....❤
Plastic is a pollution!!! Look at research how much there is plastic in our bodies due to using plastic chopping boards- reheating in plastic boxes transfers chemicals into the food!

You can press flowers with kitchen roll…layer up and place under a carpet or rug..walking on them over time will press them. As children we used the hall rug and hid them under it .

Ants are vital to the opening of peonies petals.
Actually it’s a myth the ants open the peonies. They are attracted to the nectar .
The presence of ants keeps other insects from attacking the peonies bloom.
I have to say that I think this Goelia haul is one of the best yet, their clothes look so high end. I’m happy that you are obviously still in touch with Robin & Ben and hope they, and their boys, are really well. I miss seeing Robin in your vlogs (and hers) as she seems to be such a lovely person and she did some great vlogs herself. 🌺❤️
Use boiled water (that has been cooled to room temp) to have really clear ice!
If you are looking for clear ice cubes, try using boiling water. Yet, might not be best for your flower petals.

So many other TH-camrs who live a lovely life AND are philanthropic. How many clothes does one need? Do we need designer fashions and the newest. I find the fact that this channel has not grown over the years a sad statement on what is watched on TH-cam. I no longer subscribe but occasionally come back to see if these two people have grown up. It's nice to see a different way of life, it's even nicer to see generous and giving people that are in a position to do so. You can only see so many videos on breakfasts, greenhouses, sponsored hair and skin care and the newest of clothing.
Lovely flower arrangements and area views. I agree about silk I invested in some silk bed linen and sleeping caps . I use them all year round. I find that they really protect the skin and my hair.

Thanks for the video. I wondered about the plastic on books too. I've got a former client that works for a paper company and paper draws mites. This is why I leave shipped boxes near the door to open. Paper mites create holes in the paper. They can be white or dark and very hard to see. Also, the sticky tape draws other bugs as well. 😝

A son of my great great grandparents went from New Zealand. G Grandfather was a Danish Immigrant and G Grandmother was German to New Zealand. Their son born New Zealand went fighting for the British as we are the Commonwealth. His Diary of the event - his experience documented. He did die not being killed but from the environment - sick and died. Never made it back to New Zealand. Theordore's parents lived in the District of Christchurch, Kaikoura area, New Zealand. xo from Whakatane New Zealand. I wonder how my G Grandmother felt living in a Commonwealth across the World in NZ with her family in Germany, and her son going to war for the British. My Danish G Grandfather set a shop up of food supplies for his youngest to run, it was successful, but it was burned down by the owner of the shop next door

Pennies are full of aunts as the aunts open the flowers by walking around on their petels. This also spreads their pollen, and gives the aunts a little snack. I looked this up after a particularly distressful experience bringing a bunch into the house once. Yuck.
