- In this video we look at a Forex Trading technique using just 1 Simple Moving Average. Using the Moving Average we can time the market to find market reversals. Which is uncommon as the more recognised use of moving averages is for trend following strategies.

Financial planning is like navigation. If you know where you are and where you want to go, navigation isn't such a great problem. It's when you don't know the two points that it's difficult
People dont understand that the prices of things are never going back down. This inflation is deeper than we think. Those buying groceries are well aware that the real inflation is much over 10%. The increments dont match our income, yet certain investors still earn over $365,000 in stocks and assets. Wish I could accomplish that.
Very possible! especially at this moment. Profits can be made in many different ways, but such intricate transactions should only be handled by seasoned market professionals.
Some persons think inves'tin is all about buying stocks; I think going into the stock market without a good experience is a big risk, that's why I'm lucky to have seen someone like mr Brian.
Finding yourself a good broker is as same as finding a good wife, which you go less stress, you get just enough with so much little effort at things
I'm surprised that you just mentioned and recommend Mr Brian Nelson. I met him at a conference in 2018 and we have been working together ever since.
Thanks Jarrod as you say it does show the limitation of moving averages as compared to other strategies. have a great trading week.
Great Video Jarrod. It builds on my own live results with moving averages. Cheers
Thanks Jarrod as always!
This is a very good approach, good video!
great video look forward to more tests.
Would you consider telling us which pairs are generally trending pairs and which are mean reverting? Thanks for the video.
Thanks Jarred, are there any strategies that you have looked into which are much lower time frame based during a singular session e.g London session consisting of charts under 30min timeframe? Many thanks
Thanks Jarrod. I really appreciate all the work you put into these strategies and videos. I am attempting to mimic them as Metatrader EAs.
I do concur with your assessment that moving averages are not the best tools for generating entry signals, for several reasons. For one thing, they blur and compress the actual price action, e.g. a long candle centered on a moving average has the same effect as a short candle centered on that moving average. In addition, they do not take into account trading volume (which is a measure of trader perception for a particular price level). Moving averages are also prone to whipsaw in a consolidating market.
I would be more interested in seeing some strategies that use volume with price action, such as the market profile. So far, I haven't found any of your strategies that use volume in any way. One could argue that your strategies that use time-of-day filters are indirectly taking volume into account, as volume tends to peak during the London/New York sessions, but they don't use volume as part of the entry signal.
I'm also interested in shorter time frames, which presumably would generate more signals per month.
Thanks again!
Could you also include trailing stop exits in your tests? I'm really interested in how they perform.
Please test on different time frames
great video!
can you also look at crypto please?
Thanks!
👍
I'd be doing your channel and you an injustice if I didn't request more investigation into the trending version of this strategy for the famous 'Gbp/Jpy' pair please!?
Do a video for trading crypto pls
So. GBPJPY Long when passing over SMA-5, Short when passing below SMA-5 😀
