    I lived in London for 5 years from 2005 till 2010. Actually life is all about servival there. And social and family life is near to zero. So I came to India after watching Swadesh and Guru movie.
    And i am happily living here after.

    I have been living in the UK for 6 months now and there are pros and cons of each choice. Salaries in India in some sectors are growing manifold and cost of living isnt that high, so India is a better choice for them from a money perspective. But equally there are sectors where salaries rnt great and hence moving abroad makes more sense. But in a nutshell, while u get better quality of life in the UK- better school, way better public infrastructure, better work culture etc, it isnt a great place to make money. US on the other hand gives better salaries, public infra is good too but u dont get the same culture and life (especially with the arms/gun laws). Pls do talk to ur friends or network in these countries to know more abt the real picture. Good Luck.

      I dont find infrastructure in UK to be way better . I feel India is having more advanced infrastructure these days and better expressways and highways . It is just that people aren't using them correctly by not following rules.

    Ankita -Two more reasons
    1) Easily afford house-helps, maids, drivers, cooks, nanny etc and focus more on job. After the age of 50 you can give rest to your limbs !
    2) Interest rates on savings and FD are 6.5 % compared to 0.5% in UK. Hence in India money
    grows at a much faster pace.
    3) In annual appraisals in India you get 8-10% hike compared to 0-2% hike in UK/Europe.

      Not true. Inflation in India is higher. Hence both salary hikes and fd rates can’t be compared.

    • @munishkuvadia2080
      @munishkuvadia2080 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Interest rate is higher because of inflation. That's also the reason behind appraisals generally.

      @SanAntonioDean 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Lol... on the first point- 50 is too young to give 'rest to limbs'. People here go for running at the age of 70+. I would rather suggest you to learn from them and be active.

    1. I would definitely say that salaries in the UK are mediocre (in most industries).
    2. From my experience, most expenses in UK are approx 2.5X - 3X that of India. So if your salary in the UK is also 2.5X-3X that of what you would make in India only then will you actually end up making more money.
    3. So if salary is your only reason to move to the UK from India then you might be disappointed.
    4. But definitely better managers, better work-life balance, better system, meritocracy over politics in promotions, and law-abiding people are advantages that the UK has over India.
    5. India definitely has fast health care. Indian doctors might be able to diagnose and treat faster as well. But many Indian doctors and hospitals run their practice more as businesses than keeping the best interests of the patient in mind. Doctors overprescribe and over diagnose in India.

  • @dawoodwaris

    I came to the UK as a student year 2007, recession hit in 2008 and I lost my part time job, I was dead broke. But I hassled in the cold harsh weather, completed my studies, got a job, saved money, set-up a firm, sold the firm in 2021 and retired. It all happened in 13 years. UK is not for the weak, if you want to be successful here then you have to integrate with British community and also depends on your mindset. Your current situation does not determine your future but your thoughts will.
    I think I am the only person in the comment section that likes the UK. This is a beautiful country, fresh air (outside London ofcourse), pure water and non gmo food, excellent private healthcare, good transportation networks, best restaurants in the world, best social life, Europe is 45 minutes away, and more importantly great people to socialise with.

    UK healthcare is free at the point of use. You can get all your operations, medicines even cancer treatment, stents all free...it does take some time but in India, you will have to spend lakhs of rupees to get a simple operation. British schooling is still considered one of the best in the world where emphasis is on understanding not rote learning from the books so, some of the points you have raised are not valid

      This is only for people with Indefinite Leave to Remain or with British citizenship! Students and tourists don't always get free treatments once they are in the hospital wards after Accident and Emergency assessments and investigations. • @r0han007
      @r0han007 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Health and education is not free you pay tax ( 40%) and NI. Secondly, they don't entertain young adults with minor health issues and keep you in waiting list. I got waiting for 8 weeks for ultrasound. Still no reply. By the time you grow old , the hefty tax and NI gets accumulated and you are using what you've paid. It's like taking medical insurance early in India. Doctors are all Indians so don't compare quality. Education is also hyped because it's in English, teachers don't force to study because its free. Indian teachers force because they want to improve overall school %. Which is good and bad in certain way. Indian education makes you competitive. Higher education in UK may be better but primary education is something that i would rate Indian education better. In UK, Youngsters are not keen to study Engineering or Science , they choose random subjects Phsycology, Social Science and Arts. IT companies you will not find youngsters native britishers . Youngsters are more keen in football, parties and drugs. Indian youth seems to be more focused because of tough competition. No wonder CEO of top organisations are Indians. As Indian in UK, you would like kids to be friends with fellow Indians because they study . It's very difficulty for children to balance that. You will never trust if your child is going out with Gora's for night out party. Grammer school is also over hyped, and Indians are responsible for it.

      @simib5644 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@r0han007 BTW only 13% population of UK is ethnic rest are all white! so your generalisations are not accurate and you are mostly describing working class white people not middle class english population. I am a teacher here so know inside out of the education system here. English are very organised and committed to their work...there is a lot that you can learn from them. Indians only got opportunities to become CEO's as they got out of India and further educated themselves and got opportunities due to their abilities and not because of so and so know someone. Indians have developed this sense of superiority and inward looking nationalism
      which is baffling. Why are you here anyway?

    Many thanks for emphasising on the broken healthcare system in UK - the doctors are in the GPs are worse than the roadside quacks in India and people may very need to wait for 5-6 hours while waiting in the A&E, which is a complete mockery in the name of emergency service.

    Dear all, I got job in UK with 48k,
    1. need to take care abt family 2 kids and wife. total monthly expenditure is 2300 in
    uk. so i can save hardly 500-700pounds per month. i can save 10 lakhs yearly with yearly one family visit to India.
    2. If i stay alone in UK i can save 2.5 lakhs monthly. for every 6 months i can make an india trip for 20 days. SO which is the best idea.
    to move with family to UK with kids 2nd class and nursery, or to move alone for 4 years and earn 1 crore and go back to India.
    I cant purchase home in UK because of my low salary and huge taxes, with a single income.

    Very valid reasons . Just add, if people decide to move out of UK and they have a UK employment or private pension pot, they should definitely consider moving it to India due to benefits such as much higher growth in your funds in India, greater flexibility, better control on your money. Lot of people not even aware of this is possible even but definitely worth doing due to above benefits.

    2.You have to go out and meet people. You push yourself out of comfort zone and learn so much communication, networking,meeting peiple all over the world join sports group,classes ,cricket,hobby endless opportunity. People are more active in hobby there. UK is so diverse you sure to find so many Indians to make friends if thats what you want.
