Thank you very much for fully demonstrating the VITAL function of INSTANT beep/tonal feedback when detected, and also the extended "beep" features. Your channel is a gift of electronic expertise to the entire planet!

I also have the UN-T UT61E. With the probe Masters.
    I love using it!
You say that some people say that they don't like?
Maybe its because they do not have the UN-T UT61E or, maybe they have spent $350+ or more on a multimeter?
The UN-T UT61E rocks for a multimeter that is around $60.
In my opinion, if you get the probe master's in conjunction with the UN-T UT61E , you can not beat it for the price!👍

Great test. Really shows the difference well.
I have to get me some of those leads. Caused myself extra work last night by blowing a couple mosfets when I shorted a live circuit while probing with standard cheap leads. :(

Note: Triplett MM200 is sold-out on Amazon = good job man!

Love my $20 Aneng 8002. The 8002 measures temperature vs the 8001.

Nice video, I also like the AN8002 or even more the AN8008 which I have in everyday use.
By the way, do not forget to switch off the Triplett. :o)

Great mic: audio, quality & level. I too have the little Aneng and like it a lot. I wish it had the "twisted" display of the triplett.

Great demo, thanks. Would be interesting to quantify the delay in sensing between units, as you say continuity is so simple (and important) to check. Very frustrating when the meter is too slow.

I agree 100% with your pet peeve. Why in the world continuity mode on all meters don't beep quickly is mind boggling. It's arguably the most common use case - at least in very basic debugging.

We used to use "bug lights" back in the day. Small incandescent bulbs, AA battery...

M&M puppy's!! yup! rub the leads with metal foil? I'll try some gold plated probes!!! cool !! keithley can smell the fumes!!

UT-61E is still my favorite continuity meter
I have a Brymen 869s as well which cost 4 times as much but I still use the 61E for continuity

nice! one of the specs that is often ignored is sample/refresh rates. there is a slew of things to look for in meter choosing but ill leave that for later

Nice -- fast continuity and ohm readings is important for the work I do.
My oldish Amprobe 34XR-A's readings for ohms is ok, about 0.5 ~ 1.0 sec for a stable reading. But continuity is bad: a 0.5 sec delay before registering a beep for a short. Swiping the leads together quickly never registers a beep.
So I recently purchased a Fluke 17B+, but was sad to find it had a weird dead zone for continuity readings; 2 out of 3 quick swipes of the probes would read a quick beep, but 1 out of 3 would not beep at all. Very repeatable; there seemed to be a predictable "dead time" period where it wouldn't quickly register a beep. Ohm readings were 1 sec for a stable value, for auto or manual ranging. I imagine the more expensive flukes don't have either of these issues, but I've not seen specs that let one compare models for sampling times. (Both batts are strong at 1.623v each, so it's not weak batts)
Really surprised by the fluke's "meh" performance on these two simple tasks..

I recall using a HP logic level probe that also beeped for short,... it was many years ago but I loved it. It required 5v and had VERY sharp needle tips. Anyone remember the model number?

I think everyone is tired of crappy appliances with under powered processors and bloated operating systems. Meters, PCs, & TVs, etc.
