His wife knew this was Toby Keith's goodbye to his fans. You could see it in every tear that fell from her eyes. Her heart was breaking but she was trying to be strong for Toby. 🙏🏻💔🕯️
The night he performed don't let the old man in he accepted a award and gave hisbacceptance speech . Even when he was feeling sick he still found his humor. He said " I bet you never thought you would see me in skinny jeans " . Rip Toby Kieth !
Bro I just seen this fk what people think the ones that know you and know what kind of a man you are let that be what gets you thought this thing we call life
9:29 he knew. He went years without touring battling and then he came back all the sudden saying he was getting better. Naw he knew and he wanted to perform again because he knew it was his last chance. That is how I feel in my heart. 😭
I think Toby Keith said it all when he said ," I don't know why but God is driving and letting me ride shotgun"... His love of God and country USA ...oh how we can learn from this. It is time for us to do more, I suggest we go to God for the answers... Praying for the divine intervention to Eradicate the villain that has taken so many lives of our love ones.
Toby Keith explained how he came to write this song “don’t let the old man in“ he was talking with Clint Eastwood who is in his 80s and very active and still acting and directing. Toby asked him how do you do it? Clint Eastwood replied, saying I don’t let the old man in. After Toby Keith wrote the song he sent it to Clint Eastwood as a gift. Clint Eastwood ended up using that song his latest movie.
Great synopsis. I watched the full Oklahoma TV Channel 9 interview taped in late 2023. He told that story and so many others in great detail. He said that the song "Dont Let the Old Man In" was not only in Eastwood's movie (The Mule), but it has been recorded by many artists (American and Foreign). The song has been a chart topper outside the US for some older artists. I highly recommend watching the full interview with Channel 9, if you have the time. He explains his struggle and acceptance of whatever then Lord has in store through his battle. He talks about all his charities and how many USO tours he made (for free) to our troops. Toby was a REAL man.
Everytime I hear this I am more than amazed that as close to death as he is, his voice is still point on! RIP Toby, you ARE the man who”loved on his wife”.
Toby was a good man. When Merle Haggard was dying he had a show he HAD to perform. He needed the money in order to pay his band so they could stay with him. He was on oxygen and had double pneumonia. Toby went to the show to see the Hag. When he saw the shape Merle was in he asked him why he wasn’t in the hospital. Merle explained the situation. Toby told Merle he would stick around for the whole show. Merle knew he wasn’t strong enough to do the whole show, so he said to Toby, “How many of my songs do you know.” Toby replied, “All of ‘em. If you need me, just motion and I’ll be there right beside you.” Merle was able to do 3 songs, and he was gassed. He just didn’t have the strength or air to keep on. He motioned for Toby. Toby rushed to Merle’s side and finished the show. Merle played the guitar and Toby sang. After the show, Merle got paid and was able to keep his band. I believe 2 months later Merle passed away. I gained HUGE respect for Toby when I learned this. He was a good man, and a good friend. RIP Mr. Keith
Showing your emotions just means you have heart. Losing someone, you don't get over the heartache, you just get used to it. Sorry for your loss. I've lost both parents, but I think of them everyday. Know that you'll see them again.
I cry everytime i hear this song. This was his final performance. He is a Legend. He loved his family and loved his wife dearly and loved his country. He helped many people on his journey in like. Thanks for your show I really watching you. I can tell you are a good person.
NOBODY better in country music than Toby Keith 🕊️🕊️🕊️ RIP TOBY KEITH SADDLE UP COWBOY ANGEL ....... He was an American angel he helped and supported troops he did a lot for the American troops 🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲
Don't apologize for being emotional. You are just being real, and saying what you feel. I lost two of my uncles and a cousin to cancer and it's a terrible disease. Thank you for a great reaction. RIP,Toby Keith.
I watched an interview and he said his favorite verse was "ask yourself how old you'd be if you didnt know the day you were born". Im so sorry about your mom. Its ok to cry. Dont feel uncomfortable. I love you more seeing your emotions. My sister died over 40 years ago and i still cry today.
Should Have Been a Cowboy was Toby's first hit. It was released in 1993. Toby was my favorite country artist. He will be missed but will live on in his wonderful catalog of music. You need to listen to more of his music if you liked that! RIP Toby
Never apologize for showing emotion! That just means ur human, and I don't see it as a sign of weakness at all!! Having lost my mom to Cancer in 2009, I can relate on so many levels! Toby was, and always will be one of my favorite country artists! He has so many great songs, but one of my favorites by him is called As good as I once was! Definitely worth a listen! This man will forever be missed!! ❤
My brother just recently died of cancer and it was awful to watch a vibrant, strong man get down to 104 pounds. He kept going until that last day. He was sitting on the side if his bed getting dressed. He just laid back and passed on. It is a brutal and vicious disease and treatments are even more brutal. Blessings to everyone who have and/or will go through this tragedy. Thank you for being so open with your feelings!❤
Toby had a lot of amazing songs. With your family's military background i know youll love his 2 songs "American Soldier" and "Courtesy of the Red White and Blue"
Please do NOT ever apologize for showing emotion. 😢 Watching someone go through cancer is awful. Much love to you and know your mom is proud of the mam you are!
I'm 51 and I've been fighting stage 4A prostate cancer since I was 43. My sons are 25, 18, and 13 now, but they were only 17, 10, and five at diagnosis. Knowing my sons have grown up watching me get my ass kicked over and over again by this horrific disease breaks my heart. Very sorry you had to go through this with your mother and still going through it. On a different note, I too was a roofer when this song came out. I despised country and only listened to heavy metal. But, all the other country boys I worked with listen to nothing but country, so I heard this song many times and I grew to like it also. Much love to you, brother!
I watched my mother go down From a very pretty vibrant woman to looking like a skeleton in a horror movie and die in a 3 month period from lung cancer. In the 2nd month of this struggle her husband passed in his sleep. So I had to take on the responsibility of burying him and 24/7 care of mom. I moved her in with me and she died in my home in Mother's Day which was also my husband's birthday 😢 He went to the backyard and you could hear his crying through the whole neighborhood! I lost my husband (also a roofer) 9 years ago, also lung cancer. I encouraged him Not to do Chemo because of his heart. I worked with cancer patients and knew it would hurry his death (that's what happened to my mother) The Dr agreed. He was given 4 mos. to live. I put in my retirement papers in the next day. He lived 13 months. He had a quality of life he wouldn't have had otherwise. Our 6 children and the 3 grands we raised, as well as all our grands, got to share that time and were all at the house when he passed. They all got the chance to say their goodbyes and tell him they loved him. I was diagnosed 1 week after his burial. Caught it early( breast cancer) by getting a mammogram that I really didn't want to get because I was grieving, but made myself go. Almost made my 1 year cancer free and once again! Only the other breast. Found out I carry the gene for it. Had to take meds for 5 years (keeps it away) and finally only have to see the oncologist once a year! My cousin is fighting to stay alive from, brain cancer as I write. It's a cruel disease!
I am sorry for what you have been through. I lost my maternal grandmother to cancer in 1972. My mom died of cancer in 1984. She was 41 at that time. Now I am almost 60 years old and I am fighting that disease. My cancer is a rare type according to the doctor. I have Bile duct cancer and survival rate is 24%. As of July 2023 I am cancer free. May God bless you.
You know something? I started watching you about a month ago I guess. Just listening to you talk, I can tell you are a person of amazing character and integrity. I'm so sorry You lost your mother to cancer. I myself have cancer and had surgery for it back in October. Just praying to God that it doesn't return again. This is the song I put on my Facebook when I posted about Toby Keith passing away. I listen to it all the time. I'm not a man, but I don't want to let the old person in either. God bless your sweet heart. ❤️🙏🏻
So so sorry your mom suffered from cancer. Baby when you break down and show your pain, it is not a weakness. You are showing the great love you have for your mom. The more you love, the more you grieve. Loved what you said about how you changed your outlook on pharmaceutical companies! Yep they think we DON'T KNOW. BUT WE KNOW!!! God bless you and your family. ❤
Toby was larger than life. A true American patriot. An iconic artist with a fantastic catalog. And hopefully one day soon - A member of the county music hall of fame.
Toby Keith's final performance was on December 14, 2023, at Dolby Live at Park MGM in Las Vegas. The show was the third and final night of a sold-out run. Keith's set included a mix of his biggest hits, fan favorites, and audience requests, and he even performed his 1993 debut single, "Should've Been a Cowboy". Keith's final television performance was on September 28, 2023, at the inaugural People's Choice Country Awards in Nashville. He was honored with the Country Icon Award at the ceremony.
Damn, this one goes right on the top shelf next to Johnny Cash's "Hurt". It reminds me that there will be a last sunrise, a last hug, and a last breath.
I lost my mother in 2018 from cancer and I let the tears flow all the time when I think of her. I would drive from Cincinnati Ohio to Knoxville Tennessee four times a week for Chemo and Radiation treatments. Those were the best and worst days of my life, looking back I wouldn't change it for the world. I took her for her last treatment on a Friday and she died the following Monday. I still remember every time we laughed and cried that Friday and how I wish we could do that Friday over one more time. Always let the tears flow that's are mother's touching are hearts and letting us know there still watching over us.
This was a very heartfelt reaction. Nothin wrong with bein emotional man. Doesn’t make you any less of a man. Toby was one helluva a man, I’m gonna miss him.
I lost my father to cancer on 2008, and actually moved him and my mom in with us after his diagnosis to help with with taking care of him during his treatments so I saw what he went through daily, so I fully get where you are coming from! Dotm apologize for showing emotion! It just shows you have a heart!
Thank you for being real. More men need to show emotion. Men hurt too. Toby was a very good man. I met him when I was 17 yrs old at a concert. He had his first number one. I got to sit with the band for about 30 minutes. Somehow I impressed him, everyone was hugging him and I just held out my hand for a handshake. He looks at me and says what no hug. I told him I do not know you so why would I hug you. He told everyone that I had class and invited me to sit with them. I was also friends with him on FB and he actually spoke to me and remembered my dad. My dad met him also but had no idea who he was lol. He thought Toby was the bus driver. That is how down to earth he was. I know how it feels to lose your mom, it is hard. I lost my parents 6 months apart. It is tough. I hold on to the fact that it is not goodbye just see you later. Should have been a Cowboy was his first number one.
Great reaction. Rest in Peace to your mom. ❤️ Toby met Clint Eastwood and asked him how he stays so active at his age. Clint told Toby “don’t let the old man in”. And that’s where the song came from. I lost my mom to cancer as well. In 1977 when I was just 13. And I lost my big brother to cancer 2 years ago. RIP Toby. ❤️
I lost my husband when he was 59 from Pulmonary Fibrosis. It doesn't matter what the disease, it hurts to see the ones you love suffer! This is hard for me to watch to as I'm the one that's left and I'm now 71. I'm determined to not let the "old lady" in but it's getting harder and harder! God bless you, and as for the emotions, I won't watch someone who has none! We all have our hurts that we try to hide .... nobody likes crying in public but I found out that the deepest hurts and the most tears come from a great love! It's worth the pain! Thank you for keeping it real!!!!
@annepinkerton6280, I'm so sorry for the loss of your husband. I agree with every single word you said. I understand. My husband and I have been married for 50 years and he is on Hospice. I can't stand to see him waste away in front my eyes. It's killing me, but I'm trying to stay strong for him. I also love this channel because he keeps it real, and thank you for keeping it real also.
@@starburstppl, bless your precious heart! Being a caretaker and eventually, the one left behind, it's hard! I pray that God gives you the strength you need to get through your battle .... we all have at least one! I KNOW God gave me the strength. With my health issues, it should have been impossible but God gave me the strength to carry all those oxygen tanks and push his wheelchair! I hate that anyone has to suffer through those pains!!! Hugs to you!!
My sister on her 30th bday was diagnosed with breast cancer. He had her 11 yr old daughter shave her head. She had a double mastectomy. We are almost 2 years later, and her last treatment is set for May. No more cancer. She's a warrior and I'm so happy to be her big brother.
Man he was a fun singer/songwriter. Wrote over 5000 songs. There's a timeline of his looks from when he started out until the end. It's sad. Same thing happened to my dad. One day big and strong and 6 months later, unrecognizable. Ugh. Toby was a good guy tho. He wrote the song for Clint Eastwood's movie, The Mule. He asked Clint how he worked at 88 yrs old and he said he got up everyday and didn't let the old man in. It's on an interview. on you tube
I love your reaction videos. So honest. Like many people have said, you need not apologize for getting emotional. Real men do cry. There's no shame in having feelings and loving your family. Keep up the good work. Thank you!
Retired Military, seen Toby in Afghanistan Bagram Air Base in 2012 when he played for the troops. Respect him so much\ What a great guy and Entertainer. RIP
Oh I think I was sick for a week. He was in Afghan in winter an played on the airstrip. No one was allowed headgear on the airstrip because it could get caught in turbine engines. It was freezing and windy, terrible conditions. Will never forget
Toby was a cross of the love Willie Nelson and the pride of Chris Ledoux. He was a support of his fellow man and the troops that guarded our freedom, giving us our living day struggles and also providing our us our gentile "been there" regrets..RIP Toby. Thanks for the wear in my Justin's and the tip in my Solo.
I still get emotional about losing my mom still and she passed in 1996. 😢Toby did a song/video about his friend Wayman Tisdale who passed away from cancer, too. When you’re ready maybe you can review that. It’s called I’m Crying For Me. 😢 Take care❤
This was actually his last TV performance. He had three more shows in Vegas before he passed. He was a great singer, patriot and human being!!! RIP TOBY.
Cledus T Judd, who is like country music's version of Weird Al, put out a parody to this song 10 days ago called "Gonna Miss You Old Friend". Cledus made several parodies to Toby's songs, and they were friends. He was in a music video for Toby's big hit, "Who's Your Daddy".
RIP Toby .... A great American .. Let me tell you this man Mr Toby Keith absolutely LOVED this country .. He always looked out and supported the USO and performed several times over seas .. He went out of his way to shake your hand and pat you on the back ... Thanks Mr Keith
Well BP you are my first anything to do with Toby since he passed. I avoided it knowing it was going to make me cry. I feel for you my man. I lost my Dad 3 years ago. He did from Cancer. He died in my arms as we were moving him to a hospital bed in his living room. He had one leg and needed to help to go to the bath room and to get to bed. He was on a feeding tube because his cancer was behind his jaw and made it so he could not speak. So thank you BP. Just know we all have some loss we suffer from but it is the unexpected ones that hurt the most. I still have problems with his death as he was my hero. peace brother have a better day.
Nothing soft about loving your mom and loosing her to what you saw her go through, and shedding a tear, remember the good from her, look for her in your memories, shed a tear for her but share a smile with her memory
Thank you so much for opening up to us. Your emotion was so sincere and you can't fake that! I'm so sorry for your loss, but I hope you know that you have a safe place here with us! All of us who care about music, life, love, and all human beings are here for you. We got you!
Don’t ever be afraid to show your emotions. I lost my Dad to cancer in 2007. Luckily he didn’t suffer. We found out on 10/19/2007 and he passed away 11/6/2007. The day before his mom’s birthday and 31 years to the day that his dad died.
I have lost some of the dearest people in my life to cancer also. I find some comfort in the knowledge that I will see them again. And I have read that a hug in heaven is better than a thousand hugs on earth. I hope you can find some solace in that too.
I totally feel your pain.. I lost my best friend, the love of my life of 40+ years in 2017 of cancer.. My dear sweet husband, Gerry.. He was only 61 yrs. old. I sure miss him.. Your friend, Cathy. Sending you lots of XOXOXO'S.
I also lost my best friend, the love of my life in 2022 of cancer. My loving husband, Loyd, who was 73 years old. He died 2 months after finding out he had cancer. I find it hard to not cry. He was my life! I encourage anyone who has lost a loved one to search the internet for a national company named Grief Share. It is an informal weekly meeting where you are able to share your grief and learn how to manage the grief. Grief does not end. You just learn how to live with it and channel it to remember your loved one.
For sure no shame in tears over lost parent. Real hard to watch them pass no matter why. Nice bookend on the songs. His last performance and his 1st hit.
Don’t ever apologize for your feelings. 😢I understand my friend. I have battled tongue cancer and go for the results of my bone marrow biopsy on Monday. I’m expecting the best. I love you Back Pegus - All Love 💚💚💚💚 to you. 😢
My mom passed away last year from cancer and it broke something inside me, I can’t explain it I can’t express how deep my sadness goes. My husband loved my mother also and his heart is broken and cries at the thought of the pain my mom went through. You are a caring loving kind son who loves his mom and she is in your heart forever, those are tears of love !
I am from Norman OK just a few miles away from me. I have driven by his home. A beautiful home. He was loved in Oklahoma. I would see him at OU football games. He IS loved on Norman and all over. Very humble man. He would also go to women's softball games. And he was an unapologetic patriot. I enjoy your chanel. Thank you.
My dad worked with Toby back in the day in the oilfields, an i got to meet him when i was a kid, losing him has took a toll on me an millions others, iv lost 16 family members to cancer an now its my turn, im fighting stage 4 lung cancer, an i found out about mine same time he did, seeing him fall to it... we fight till we can't...
My mom battled cancer 4x . It was so heartbreaking to watch her struggle. The chemo, radiation, and surgery took so much out of my mom. She passed away 9 years ago.
Hey bro I lost my mom in 2019 to health issues that I’ve had to watch my mom go in and out of the hospital for since the latest 90’s I appreciate you letting us know how you feel bro. Nothing wrong with it we are all here for you and some of us know your pain. Love your reactions and love them more now knowing you were ok enough to know that your people here got your back enough to release this is. Keep them coming bro don’t ever feel bad for being a person and having emotions
I had the pleasure for seeing Toby Keith perform at Billy Bobs in Fort Worth, Texas. He was the nicest guy, and he really loved his fans. He was down to earth and so talented. Rest in piece with Jesus, Toby.
Never apologize for being a human, with emotions. Men are allowed to cry. You're a great Dude, and I send my condolences to you, for the loss of your beautiful Mom. I lost a few in the same way, and it's difficult to process. The Tupac thing falling over was no accident, and absolutely crazy. 🤜🤛
NEVER TRUST A MAN THAT WON'T CRY !
Amen. I learned this the hard way, after giving up a man who would.
Amen 🙏 so did I.
REAL MEN CRY...dont EVER be ashamed for feeling.😌
Truth
Do not apologize for having a heart and showing emotion. I lost my husband to cancer Dec. 18th 2023. This song hits hard.

@SickGirlRocks Toby decided to make one more stand. May he rest in peace.

I said the same thing. Thank you for your comment. It was heart touching. At least he is at peace

You just proved how STRONG and EMPATHIC you are!!!!! God bless you!!!
I had throat cancer surgery and they were able to get all of it out thank God. That was two years ago and I am still cleaning in all of my scans
He passed away on February the fifth, and he got the award On February the sixth, that really hit me, will never forget him ❤
Toby Keith's final performance was on December 14, 2023, at Dolby Live at Park MGM in Las Vegas.
Much respect. Toby was a true American and will definitely be missed!
Never apologize for being real. Nothing but love BP.
Sir don't apologize you were raised right by your parents, show your emotions 💖 you are so sweet ❤️
I lost my old man. I can't fathom losing my momma. As a Gen-X man I'm proud of being a momma's boy.
My son is a mama boy and I’m so proud of him for it!
Yes cancer is not Prejudice. Love your reviews. He was a true Warrior. Military LOVED this man. He was a true definition of Patriot. ❤
One heck of an artist a real country act love me some Toby
You'll ALWAYS LIVE IN MY HEART OLD FRIEND 😢😢❤❤❤❤❤
Letting your feelings show takes strength
Man, you are allowed to feel that hurt and grief. Don’t ever apologize. Sending you much love. ❤️
RIP Toby. ❤️
Toby Keith was truly larger than life. It's so hard seeing him frail & near the end of his life. God bless you my friend.
Thank you for sharing some of your life experiences...💛
Toby will always be such a force in the hearts of country music fans, we will miss him
Toby did 3. Concerts in Vegas before he passed the world is in morning love.ou Tooby R.I.P Toby❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Rest in Peace Toby Keith!! Don't be afraid to show your feelings!! It just proves that you're human!!
Brings tears 😭 always will. He was so loved by all .
Your not a soft man you are a real man. Feelings are okay.
Dude, my hat's off to you. This entire reaction of yours is hands down the most real i have ever witnessed. God BlessbYou
Still cry when I see this- Adored this man !
we lost one of the best.... he touched you with his music.. i see the light in your eyes and smile and laugh reacting to his song... God Bless you....
Never apologize for having heart and feelings. I'm so sorry about your Mother! Thank you so much for showing all his American Patriots videos!!
It's on an interview. on you tube
That was the way Toby Keith was saying Goodbye to everyone. That was one of the best songs ive ever heard...
I love your reaction videos. So honest. Like many people have said, you need not apologize for getting emotional. Real men do cry. There's no shame in having feelings and loving your family. Keep up the good work. Thank you!
Vulnerability is strength. Thank you for being transparent.
Great sorrow humbles you ❤😢sorry for your loss. I lost my dad to cancer he was only 50
Retired Military, seen Toby in Afghanistan Bagram Air Base in 2012 when he played for the troops.
You are a Amazing young man God Bless You
You have a Lion heart, yes Lions cry. Love seeing this side of you, good and bad memories are part of life.
Honestly I don't know how Toby got up in front of that crowd and kept his composure.....he was so sick....God love ya Tobey ❤❤❤❤
This was actually his last TV performance. He had three more shows in Vegas before he passed. He was a great singer, patriot and human being!!! RIP TOBY.
He was an amazing man.. He gave us so many great songs and memories! RIP Toby!
Don’t let emotion be something to be ashamed of you sound caring Toby was an amazing singer may he rest in peace
RIP Toby .... A great American .. Let me tell you this man Mr Toby Keith absolutely LOVED this country .. He always looked out and supported the USO and performed several times over seas .. He went out of his way to shake your hand and pat you on the back ... Thanks Mr Keith
You are a classy, honest, remarkable young man. God bless you.
Never apologize for feeling! I get so upset when people say boys/men don't cry. You're human!
Love ya brother! Keep on keeping on! Forever rest in peace Toby! Miss you man!
Thank you for sharing you with us, always be real.
Don’t ever apologize for your feelings. 😢I understand my friend. I have battled tongue cancer and go for the results of my bone marrow biopsy on Monday. I’m expecting the best. I love you Back Pegus - All Love 💚💚💚💚 to you. 😢
Much love and respect for you! There’s nothing like a mothers love next to God
Nothing wrong with a man crying....just shows that you real💙
I am from Norman OK just a few miles away from me. I have driven by his home. A beautiful home.
He was loved in Oklahoma. I would see him at OU football games. He IS loved on Norman and all over. Very humble man. He would also go to women's softball games. And he was an unapologetic patriot.
I enjoy your chanel. Thank you.
He will always be in our hearts forever and ever 😢❤
It is so refreshing to see a man actually be vulnerable. Maybe you will open that door for more men! I absolutely love Toby Keith. RIP 😪🙏🏻🇺🇸🦅
God has Toby’s back! Love u Toby!!
