As someone that prefers low drop and a firm foam, this is one of the few shoes left that works for me. Ran my last marathon in them!

I live in Noosa and have done the least 13 Noosa Tris . . . Gotta say I can't recall too many people actually using them to race in at Noosa. Especially with the plated super shoes now in proliferation, definitely more of a training shoe with crazy colours

  • @owenmcgh

I absolutely loved the tri 8 and 12, but have since realised I need a shoe with more stability. I still wear them as casual shoes and love them. The 8s were the crazy rainbow colour way, and after the initial shock of how bright they were, they definitely made me enjoy the brighter colour ways of any shoe I buy now. I'm glad to see you reviewing more Asics shoes. I struggle to enjoy running in other brands as much as Asics. You should definitely visit Noosa next time you come to Australia. Great beaches, weather, food, and running!

One of the most underrated shoes out there! I agree, one of the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn, and I found the foam softened a little after 60-70km, and interestingly the wet weather grip improved a little as well. Great for all kinds of runs, except long!

My favorite daily trainer! I love the comfort, love the rocker, the lightness, the quality, colors and durability. The foam is a little bit stiff, but there's enough cushioning for even long runs. And the stiffness helps with the rocker feeling, the stability and durability. They feel almost like they have some nylon plate inside. Like gliderides but lighter and more exciting. Only the grip could be better but it's a minor issue.

I bought these because Seth James DeMoor was a huge fan, and indeed he tends to be spot on, as he is with these shoes. They are surprisingly versatile, and great value for money. They are currently my daily trainers, for anything from track intervals to recovery runs.

I have 440k in my pair... Really versatile for any kind of runs under 12-15k (You start feeling the asphalt on long runs over 15k.)... Feels like a lighter and more modern Boston 9 with a slightly worse grip.

Great video, I had the 13 and have the 14. Love them. They are a bit of the firmer side but but my foot strike seems to really work well with the rocker and I find it rolls really nice, so not harsh at all. And the 14 is defo softer than the 13! Also, durability is epic!

  • @thomasquirk4971

The Evoride 2 is one of my favourite shoes that I've run in, hugely underhyped, feels great at pace but also for daily training miles (I use it mainly for threshold runs and it's never felt anything but smooth and enjoyable). As I understand it it's basically the Tri Noosa 13 but with a toned down upper. When my pair run out (which I'm expecting is going to take forever) I'm probably gonna replace them with the latest version of the Noosa because the colorways are soooo much better.

Love mine! 200ish k in them, use them for short fast or medium long steady. Terrible if you step right on a piece of gravel or large stone. Like the geometry. I'm mostly a forefoot striker but these reward a midfoot strike with quick cadence. Helps with running efficiency on the longer runs. Definitely the plushest upper that still feels like.

Completely unrelated comment but do you think I can run Valencia in the Nike Invincible that you use so much? I used them today on a long run for the first time, 30k and found them very comfy and very easy to hold pace. Aiming for around 4:40 hrs so not a fast time. Only the bulk of them worries me considering the distance.
