Summary: Chris Eldridge (of Punch Brothers) and Julian Lage have seamlessly united their talents and passions for the guitar as a duo. Together at Paste Studio, they performed a few songs off of their record Mount Royal at Paste Studios on July 17. To start came two original instrumental tracks, "Bone Collector" and "Broadcast." Watch in awe as they transition between lead and rhythm guitar in the blink of an eye and improvise with one another without missing a beat. For the duo's last song, they switched things up, playing a magnificent cover of the classic bluegrass tune "Things In Life" by Don Stover, with Eldridge singing. - เพลง
I have just discovered Julian Lage. I must say, I enjoy his music and playing more than anything I’ve heard in years. Just moves me in different and unsuspecting ways. Eldridge is wonderful too, don’t know much about him yet. Yep, that’s about it.
In the off chance you don’t know them, Chris plays with Punch Brothers. Do yourself a favor and sit and listen to every album front to back!
This really is life giving music. It's beautiful ❤
They are both so cool, I love them both and especially their work. Bone Collector and Live on the Fleathead Lake is sick. Julian and his playing is like hey come here to hear how weirdo from another world plays and Eldridge is fantastic too man, I love Blue Grass style , this is so insane..beautiful!
I wish these two fine musicians continuing friendship and many years of good fortune bringing to us these wonderful performances. Giving us an insight into the interaction between yourselves - thank you.
These guys just killed it so hard that I feel alive again
Bäm!
Thanks a million for uploading this! Absolutely incredible...
Just tuning guitars the way they did it is masterpiece worth listening
I thought the same thing! Haha
It's at 7:14
They have lost the ability to not make music.
The build up to 4:48 is so excellent and just masterful. Wish we had some live music to see
that moment when chris said that julian was empathetic and that he felt jumping off a cliff isnt as scary was very moving and heartfelt! music is such a wonderful thing
A wonderful collaboration between masters of different styles of guitar.
The best thing I've ever seen in my entire life! I keep watching this over and over again, need help haha.
Btw, noticed the opening chord from "Magnet" (Punch Brothers) at 3:51
Amazing performance.love from Philippines.
They are both so improvisational and compositional at the same time
Big fan of both these guys, in their own work, and in this pairing. Lovely video, thanks! As an aside, the sound they get with just the one mic is terrific, they both seem very comfortable balancing on the fly, in real bluegrass style.
Super cool guys !!
What talent these 2 have. Julian just blows my mind and Chris has excellent taste and a touch I only wish I could achieve.
this went through both of my ears and changed my brain forever thank you
That was great!
Just beautiful
That transition at 1:52. Magical.

These young cats just fucking FLY. God. Damn.
Progressive bluegrass jams! sound good to this Kentucky boy!!!
Great camera and editing work. Every time I hear something and think, "I'd like a closer look at what he's doing," the shot switches to a close-up of what I'm hearing. That should always be the case, but it really isn't.
Their album mont royal, and especially the first song they play bone collector, I really like a lot
Locura lo que toca el maestro julian
WOW :)
Amazing duo and I miss the 90's Acoustic Alchemy
Would love to see Chris Thile and Julian collaborate like this

Sweet sweet dissonance.........and resolve!
Paste ... pretty please with sugar on top, can you put the commercials BETWEEN the songs.
Outstanding recording! How did you guys manage to record the guitars so clearly? Well done!
I believe that is nothing more than those two guys having impeccable technique. Astounding : )
You have really amazing musicians and instruments in a quiet room and get the hell out of their way!!
@@podareofficial And a very expensive microphone.
Bone nuts collectors y saddle 😊
Great musicianship and playing. Weird camera angle.
Who is the host? I'm not sure they're ever given proper credit in these videos.
Can anyone tell me what guitar is Julian using. Thanks
Collings OM 1 JL
Great jazzy stuff! But the dreadnought is overpowering the OM!
Is this a bolero?
Spellbinding
