I could listen to Julian play forever and never be anything less than stunned by the beauty of what he does. Familiar tunes, but something new every time.
I was at this show right in the front row - I hope Julian comes back to the North East as it really was such a treat to see him play. He was amazing. His support act was cool too.
Amazing. To prevent from being bored without a band he just goes insane on the guitar, all out into deeper realms than ever explored before. Boldly go where no one has gone before Julian! We ❤ u!
Listening to you play is like what I felt when I was listening to Stevie Ray Vaughan a constant flow of musical ideas telling a whole story with all these wit and joy
A lucky person is able to create a source of his own happiness that never will fall dry or be poisened. A source that is so rich that the owner can share in multitude without losing any of its strength nor quantity. Julian Lage is such a lucky bird and we are the happy people that participate in his relentless joy.
I saw him recently when he played a show in Florida. It was quite an other-worldly experience. I highly recommend seeing him live if he plays in your area.
So sweet! I hear a little Joni Mitchell, a little Ralph Towner, a little Leo Kottke, even a little Robert Fripp -- all good things to hear -- but it is first and foremost Julian Lage, the only guitarist who can bring those style together and celebrate them under his own musical vision.

I do miss him playing his electric guitars, but love the acoustic too!
It's like his finger brains take over and he's sometimes surprised at what comes out. One of my favorite Guitarists alive today .
Yes!!! I love the little moans he does when he surprises himself.
I hear you!
Julian was already good, but it feels like he’s unlocked a new level this past year… this past week.
Lucky enough to be sat right in front of this performance. Was like watching a fearless tightrope walker, a huge inspirational performance
He's just so brilliant. He clearly finds something new every time he plays a tune.

When I listen to him - also when he plays the classics - I can't help but think of Keith Jarrett.
Since the last few live recordings that have been uploaded, I totally agree. Keith Jarrett of acoustic guitar.
Genius of our generation
Please a live album of this set of these concerts you are posting the last few days.
My virtual applause
amazing playing and great sounding recording! Kudos to Mark Goodell.

This guy is way more 'gut bucket' than I originally thought.

Quite a range of emotions he seems to travel through in this song

Totally out of the box. So refreshing and inspiring. My fingers could never think that fast.

Greatly inspired by this musical freedom. See you in London in 2 days, Julian !
An endless stream of invention and never the same stream twice, yet always between the banks of the tune and in the embrace of tradition.
