      Indeed, my friend! I saw an interview with Dolly Parton where she says that she was driving home on an interstate when the song came on. She was listening for the first time, enjoying. Suddenly, Whitney hit *_that note_* and Dolly had to pull over to the shoulder because it stole her breath away. Dolly always gives beautiful credit to Whitney Houston for taking it to an honest and towering height... just like magic! Stunning. Beautiful. Legend. Both Of Them. I only wish that Whitney could have beat the demons that haunted her. R.I.P. Whitney. ~Peace!

      Her family and their greed. They were supposed to protect her and instead they all fed on her. Her mom blamed Bobby for her cocaine problems when her own brother introduced her... she was abused by a female relative, etc. She was a heavy smoker and that is what hindered her singing later. So much stress, so many demons, and so few people that really cared about her and not what they could get from her. So annoyed by all the "movies" about her.... let her rest and peace and stop trying to continue to profit off her!

Her voice had EVERYTHING a singer wants. Power, strength, range, perfect tone, perfect pitch, runs, differentiality (meaning, singing live, she was able to sing the same line repeatedly but nvr doing it the same way twice), grace, natural reflection capabilities, ability to switch head to chest voice at a split second, constant vibrato, breath control....letting her hold notes a crazy long time....she was THE GOLDEN VOICE.

    Whitney was always will be remembered as a class act. Her voice was absolutely amazing. There are a lot of wonderful singers for you to listen to. Try Australia's Delta Goodrem sing her song Heavy, Delta is a singer song writer, she is ridiculously beautiful and talented. She has had cancer when she was younger and then had another health crisis more recently when the nerve to her tongue was damaged and she had to learn to speak again. You can look at these women and see such beauty and listen to them sing and hear an angel sing, but sometimes it all comes at a price to these talented women. RIP Whitney you bought so much pleasure to us with your singing and deserve to be singing with the Angels.

      @@tonyapoindexter2781 Yeah, I forget the name of the singer. I saw it in a BET documentary. She was a relatively unknown soul singer in the '70s. I think she had some minor charting songs, but nothing big like her aunt Dionne Warwick or her godmother Aretha Franklin. When they showed the predator, she looked hard and despicable. An obvious bull d--- who was probably never successful with men. Whitney was obviously a beautiful girl and she took advantage of her as her baby sitter. The same situation happened to Vanessa L. Williams when she was 10 years old. She was molested by a female baby sitter who was 17. But getting back to Whitney, I hold her mother Cissy responsible, too, because she left her with that predator while she was gigging and doing her thing, trying to be a star. Then she blamed Bobby for Whitney's downfall, when it was really her brother who put her on to drugs. Whitney's brother spoke of the physical and sexual abuse that he endured as well, while their parents were busy making a name for themselves. That's one of the pitfalls of being in a famous or upwardly mobile family. The kids can sometimes get lost in the mix.

      @@KtotheG Sadly it is true, so many people are just bad inside. I wonder if her mother knew these things were taking place, surely she would have done something. Very terrible, I have 19 grandchildren 1 is 14, all the others under age 10. I know that all of the children in the this world are being left with such a mess, and so little to work with. I honestly can not imagine how they all will exist.

    • @KtotheG
      @KtotheG ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@tonyapoindexter2781 Cissy didn't know. Whitney actually confided in her auntie. She said she didn't tell her mother because she knew that she would "take that woman out" i.e. the "K" word. It wasn't until much later when the singer died that Whitney finally told Cissy. As I was watching it, the way she set it up is that she was talking about how she hates to see children hurt and that's it cruel when adults hurt children. Just the way she was setting it up, I knew she was going to reveal that, because I notice that when people have such strong feelings against child abuse it's because they've experienced it themselves. You should watch that documentary. It's really good. I saw it one time last year when they were playing a bunch of docs toward the end of the year. If they do it again this weekend, I will try to look for it. They played the Whitney documentary and then the Bobby Brown documentary back to back. 2 hours each.
