Just reach out to your local dealership anytime something like this happens because it could also be a clue that a sensor is going out on your vehicle. Preventative maintenance will keep you rolling strong!
Awesome. My left headphone doesn’t work and all I heard was the music through the right. Took out the head phones and it worked lol
That actually reminds me of another video I can make based off of a diagnosis of a Bluetooth connection issue I fixed for a customer after almost an hour of tweaking around the touchscreen controls. (Never send all speaker power to the rear speakers only. Apparently, the Bluetooth sound is only tied to the front speakers of cars.)

I just change the oil and i reset it. and i drove like 120 miles now. when i turn in the car the oil maintenance required soon comes on and off…why is that?
It's raining I pushed on the gas in my scion xa with my heater running full blast because my seats got wet.
When I stepped on the gas it made a loud noise .
And now the maintenance required light is on I did forget to add oil so it is most likely low .
Also oil cap needs gasket because when I popped the hood it was wet near cap .
I'm hoping it's just oil related .

That's an easy fix. Your vehicle will have a reset operation for resetting the light. It's not a switch, but a series of things that a technician would have to do that resets the clock on the odometer from where it is now to when it should light up again for your next scheduled maintenance appointment (usually 5,000 miles in between). Just take it to the dealership and usually a technician can show you what to do for your specific model. There may be differences between models, so I'm not sure what procedure to present for a 2007 Camry. I'm a salesperson by trade and I always take my vehicle back in to the dealership's service dept. whenever I need anything like that done to it.

My 06 corolla Maintenance light came on today, but I changed my oil about 400miles ago. I was a bit confused, but I think I'll just reset it.
I do need new tires but that noise I heard didn't sound like needing new tires it came from engine when I accelerated
I bought a used Toyota at 93,000 miles and my maintenance service lights came on last week and the mileage is at 96000
Did you get a much older model? I assume whoever you got it from forgot to reset the light at the appropriate odometer reading or took longer to get a service or two performed while they had it than they should have and now you're not on a regularly divisible maintenance schedule. Check the maintenance on it and keep it up to date from here on ensuring that the light gets reset each time by the technician working on it.
I wonder how much a oil change and tire rotation would cost me at the stealership 🤔

You need to take it to the dealership so that they can look up the code to clear it off for you and perform the necessary sequence of events that trigger the reset.
My Prius 2005 show the maint reqd light could you tell me what is the problem ?
Like I was saying in the video, you probably either need maintenance now, or if you recently had it performed, the technician may have forgotten to reset the maintenance reminder light when they finished up. Take it to the dealer and have them verify to be sure!
I got an 08 Toyota Camry with 99k on it and my last cars trans went when I did the teams fluid change. When should I do that in this Camry?

I have a 2001 Toyota Echo with 205,000 miles on it. Maintenance required light came on and I don't know what to do.
If it is a "maintenance required" light, then it probably is due for a tire rotation or an oil change or both. It's always a good idea to log your visits in an automotive journal so that you can refer back to it when maintenance or repair may be needed. You can just log it on a sheet of paper or opt to get a more organized log book from your local auto parts supply store.
i have a 2010 toyota camry . 2.5 weeks ago my maintenance light popped on , i needed to add some synthetic oil ( sae ow-20) so i did . the light would flash for maybe 5 seconds then go off but now it popped back on & it stays on ! i checked my oil & it's good . what does that mean ??
Camry models run off of a "timer" from the last reset point of the maintenance light. If you didn't have it manually reset through a short sequence of steps, tell your local dealer and ask them to reset it for you so that you don't drive on it too long before the "timer" hits your next recommended maintenance point. Usually these points are running from the odometer about 5,000 miles apart from each signal.

Salmonella , try the air and if it doesn’t correct your issue, you’ll wanna hook it up to a diagnostic machine to see what codes come up for the fastest fix.

I believe so, but please keep in mind that I am not an actual Toyota technician. I am a sales consultant who wants the best for my customers and these PSA style videos I do are just to keep them from having issues with vehicles that they buy from me. You'll want to consult your local dealer for an appointment to get that cleared.

Have a 2011 Toyota Avalon and the oil maintenance light comes on after about 2300 miles driven. We put the synthetic oil in so do we need to just ignore the light until about 5000 miles? It has done this two times. We change the oil and the light goes off. Any tips.
Mike Phillips, see your local service center and make sure the maintenance light resets at the next visit. On a 5,000 mile schedule for synthetic oil from purchase, it’s probably just checking to ensure a tire rotation was done at 25,000 miles. It sounds like they forgot to reset on your last visit.
How long can I drive a Camry hybrid after the service maintenance light goes on? Is it okay if 100-200 miles after the light goes on?
You should be ok. Just be sure to schedule a visit to the dealership ASAP!
My maintenance required light came on not to long ago and I did a full tune up brand new spark plugs air filter and oil change with new oil filter and the maintenance light went from flickering on and off to just staying on the dash what should I do
Does it mean the same for Honda?
I don't have a lot of experience with the Honda designs, but generally all manufacturers will have a separate warning indicator for maintenance requirements vs. a potentially more serious issue that would require a diagnostic review and trigger the typical "check engine" light. I always recommend whatever you purchase to have service performed by a factory trained and certified technician rather than a quick lube or shade tree mechanic.

Well, let's go back to the example of having the maintenance light appear at about 5,000 miles. Obviously, you shouldn't expect a tune up at that point, but what it is reminding you of is that you might need a tire rotation or maybe an oil change depending on the brand and type of oil, but your owner's manual should have a section or even a separate manual where the expected maintenance intervals and services are laid out. That is where I would look ahead to plan my maintenance costs and expectations. I'd be prepared for the tune up whenever it is laid out in that manual.
I have a 2011 camry and I use 0W 20 synthetic oil. I drove around 950 miles and main req light turned on. Do you think it was because they forgot to reset the light in last oil change ?
Prayash Panta most likely, yes. They will probably want to double check it to make sure. I’d verify up front to ensure no charges are expected.

Prayash, I’m a huge advocate of dealership maintenance due to transfer of liability and because your service records are on a master file with Toyota and tracked by your VIN number. It’s a peace of mind you don’t get at retail maintenance shops.
What if it says main required after changing oil and it has 145000 miles on clock
Did you reset the computer? It has a built in reminder to trigger the light that follows your odometer. It will be illuminated until it is reset.
$170.00 just to check it out and $170.00 per hour labor. it might be simple like the man said. it could be a lose gas cap. oh don't forget $$$ for parts if needed.

Really what a ripoff
Most manufacturers don't offer a free maintenance program. Most of my clients were used to changing oil every 3,000 miles until buying from me and with the new enhancements and upgrade to OW-20 full synthetic, changing the oil every 10,000 miles is a real savings to them and to get the first 2 oil changes under warranty is a huge bonus! My clients also have the option of purchasing Toyota Care Plus and extending the coverage for an extremely reasonable price. My clients are able to appreciate these services as an enhanced value, they get accustomed to routine factory maintenance, are able to enjoy their purchases longer, and get a higher resale and trade in value when they're ready to upgrade because of exceptional maintenance and upkeep.
I have a 2005 Toyota Camry, I haven't done an oil change recently but my maint reqrd light flashes at start up. Would this be a sign of an oil change needed?

This is one case where background music is actually counterproductive… It is simply noise that the narration has to be listened to loud enough to be understood over the music. People click on these videos to get information, not be entertained. … It is actually an impedance, rather than an enhancement. No one will miss it if you take it out, and really will appreciate being able to understand the narration with less effort. I highly recommend that you NOT use it in future on these types of videos.

@@williammccormick4974 I did move on and I got the problem fixed an hour or so later. It's a very common trait nowadays. Big headline followed by lots of waffle. I am old school I suppose - lectures at tech. college lasted an hour and five and you just had to cut to the chase quickly. BTW thank you for posting your advice anyway - I need to be more patient
