Haven't seen the game results, but man picking Animate over Fractured was costly. Passed an all-time white-blue deck.

You realize if he makes different picks so do people around him, right?
@Anusien Yeah, he would have cut off white/blue and likely seen even more good cards by moving others off it. Him picking all the WU cards he saw would not lower the chances of these cards coming around, it would increase them.
This is so unproductive. Like what if he had opened the nuts reanimator. You’d be here congratulating him on a great draft. There’s no reason to really ever have gone a different direction than he did.
@giancarlocafaro6734 I'm not saying he made the wrong choice; picking Animate first was a strong pick. I'm just daydreaming about what could have been as an Azorius simp.
@@Kendal411 not necessarily. Drafting is more complicated than that. Maybe if LSV passes those cards the person he passes to ends pack 1 with a less clear direction or maybe they have only one color. Then in pack 2 they could be more likely to take Mana Drain or Solitude and then take Skyclave in the next pack.
Also if you strongly cut something in pack 1, it will flow heavily in pack 2 and tempt people into moving in.
With how good your mana was and how bad wasteland was in match 2, it seems kinda wild to not consider adding Concealed Courtyard, Inspiring Vantage, and Plains so you could bring in Vindicate for mana sources or citadel.
Blue white would have been insane! Crazy to think taking a black first pick over the memory lapse or fractured would have been insane

I can understand the Animate pick but man he could have had an insaneeeee white blue deck.
In hindsight every draft is simple. In real time, you don't know what cards are coming up next.
Kaervek is interesting, sort of like a cross between Lurrus-at-home and Yawgwill-at-home.
