funny to remember the first time LSV drafted this deck was by accident. he was trying to draft UW control, got cut then realized during deck building that the red cards in his sideboard were just better than his blue cards
“this Khalif(a) was not too much of a Wiz” just dropped casually in between narrating the game state
Also, "please don't daze me bro" was hilarious
That second pack is probably the strongest non-power pack I've ever seen.

Does anyone remember Time Spiral/Lorwyn-era Standard with the deck Big Red? Could put a Deus of Calamity into play on turn 1 with the nuts draw.

Have you ever considered supporting an enchantress archetype in the cube? Is it too weak? Too narrow?
Would love to see clown car in the cube, not sure if it's available on mtgo yet though

Big Red decks are always a fun time
8:58 no consideration for jeweled amulet? Helps you accelerate out things a turn earlier which seems good in your big mana deck.

Maybe Ravenous Baboons (or even avalanche riders) is a better anti-nonbasic slot than the miner? Also Pillage, but that seems worse than a creature.
Elesh has seemed terrible, assuming she will be cut for an OTJ card?
When it was Alphafrog's cube like 4-6 months ago, I remember Brainfreeze/Breach combo was taken by Luis every other day. What changed so drastically that it's been aggro for basically the last 2 months?

variety is the spice of life
I think part of it is the consistent team draft format - where LSV is a known brain freeze terror so people will cut him if they suspect him going in on it.
Additionally, the cube additions have been a lot of powerful creatures and combat-centric pieces which push the fair decks harder.
I think LSV also maybe finds the Doomsday combos a bit more consistent, and he has gone for those a few times.
@bricelory thanks, that was a helpful explanation. I mean back then it was also team drafts, but I get that the other factors push it out of the running now since we rarely see other players running that too these days.

Hey LSV you guys should do a team stipulation draft where 2 or 3 players are given a randomly selected stipulation (aggro, artifacts, storm etc.) and they have to take the best card for their deck then the last player on each team has to draft normally like the best deck they can. Might be a really goofy time

This cube changes so frequently, only LSV knows what’s in it anymore. I’m always seeing something that wasn’t there before, like Legion’s Landing today.
Clearly it’s in the cube because it’s in a pack.
