This episode was AWESOME! You could tell that Laura was gearing up to be the Matron again when Matt was describing what they saw! Her portrayal of the Matron is my favorite! I’ve seen so many other people who have been the Matron but Laura knocked it right out of the park! ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC! I was quite anxious about the fight! I was worried something would happen if they didn’t defeat all of their mirrored friends! I did feel bad for Imogen and Fearne and Orym when they saw them. I’m glad everyone got thru all right! This was a VERY intense episode!
The Germans have only been in two skits and they are among my top 5 ads in C3, they're like nihilistic versions of the Svens in HIMYM. Bless Ashley, she corpsed so hard. Makes sense not to have Gloamglut around all the time, the call is an odd choice though, Zathuda had a flute, Fearne has pan pipes, maybe those were only due to the blood ritual? Chetney the voyeur strikes again, but then got struck from all the multi-room banging, at least you weren't eaten alive Braius it was looking 50/50 there XD Glad we're addressing that we have a shit ton of loot to get through, though absorbing the Harp feels like it wasn't as good as keeping it, he is a bard so performance checks shouldn't really be a problem, but we'll see. Dusk Hunger's the interesting one, providing that Fearne doesn't want to keep it (and a longsword doesn't really suit her class) it could go to Ashton or Chetney - since Orym and Dorian already got powerful swords and Braius probably doesn't wanna lose his balls - Chet has lost the harp and a talking sword, but if Ashton absorbs it they could get back the CON they lost from the shard, could go either way. Would've been funny if Laudna's hand just broke off from the knocker XD kept thinking of Young Frankenstein through that scene But fickle definitely seems to be an apt choice to describe the Matron, call on Laudna to find you then throw the Hells into a big test? Helluva map though. The audacity though, the audacity to use Opal after her inaction! Boss move from Laudna though to pull up Emhira though. Still a tad disappointed that the Matron's technically a co-conspirator, but she at least seems to want the more reasonable outcome of not releasing Predathos and negotiating a new paradigm afterwards. The lore is juicy too, the predecessor let her become a god - we need a book of that story for sure. As romanticized as it is though I doubt love alone would contain Predathos, there's a difference between a consensual relinquishing of power and trying to contain a beast of bottomless hunger that doesn't want to sleep anymore, the Arch Heart's plan is still a bad plan! Predathos really shouldn't be unleashed. Also Matt if the gods don't even know what it is does this mean we can get some more Dunamancy lore? We've been pretty patient about it, the enemy uses it a ton, Essek and Leylas didn't really give us anything we didn't already know and Ashton's gone through their Path features, it does feel like a bunch of Ashton's lore gets glossed over a bit there is still so much to learn!
These are always the perfect way for me to keep up with the campaign these days, appreciate your work immensely.
