I’m knitting the mitten advent calendar by Kathy Lewinski. It’s sort of Scandinavian colorwork. I did the Day 1 and Day 2 in the week between Christmas and New Years. I figure I’ll knit two mittens per month the rest of the year and they will be ready for December. This is my way to keep Christmas going all year round!

As everyone else has said. Thank you a million times. It’s so lovely to feel part of your Christmas every year. I have a suggestion for the taste test next year. How about mince pies again but only the fancy ones… you know, the ones with frangipane or other toppings.
I used to work outside and in the winter I would always get sore splits on my thumbs. Two plasters always makes it feel better, one over the thumb and one around to hold the first in place! Thankyou for all the lovely videos, I shall miss seeing you every day!
Your vlogmas is always my favorite and I just enjoy your company so much. Thank you thank you thank you! I’m the same about the end of Christmas and New Year…I often get quite down about the passing of time. And I’ve got some things in the new year I’m not looking forward to, so that isn’t helping. But I’ll focus on the day to day moments that make up most of life…nice food, warm baths, good books, my knitting, laughing with friends at work, time with my family of course. These things aren’t going away, so I need be in the moment day to day. Now that I’ve given myself that pep talk 😂 I’ll say Happy New Year to you and much love from me to you and your family (all the lovely animals included)!❤

I hope to visit Bury St Edmonds one day, it’s where my convict ancestor was sentenced to be transported ho Australia back in 1825, he stole a hog. He was granted freedom in 1832 in lived until his mid 80’s.
Lizzie, Mothers are really so embarrassing. I don’t know how you stand it! 😂😂😂 I don’t like New Year’s Eve either. I guess I associate it with several drunk people trying to kiss and grope me 😂 though it’s unlikely now because I’m old.

Love your new shoes. Soo cute. The lady was right. You can do a lot of damage to young bones if you over exercise them before they are fully developed.
