premise: i really like tokyo ghoul manga (esp. :re), and furuta (like my 2nd fav character of all time) - that's it lol

the fact that some of these arcs were not even shown in the anime is a shame.
Tokyo ghoul wouldve been one of the greatest animes of all time if it had the right treatment

fun fact: The only ghoul who has given Arima a small scratch on the face in 18 years is Kaneki, and only in the manga; he remained underfated.

Furuta is the most underrated character in the manga history. And the true one eyed king who destroyed the system. Kaneki basically was his puppet.

Idk, I remember being somewhat underwhelmed at the prospect of him being the main antagonist by the end, but maybe that's just my memory failing me. I'm gonna read it again soon, and maybe that'll give me a new perspective on him.
@@kin4386 He kindof is a character who seems shoehorned in until you look back and piece everything together. He was introduced as "Souta" really early on and was confirmed to be the one who killed Rize at the end of part one. His motivations are understandable and he plays things pretty damn well to achieve them, he's a character I came to appreciate how much build up there was for him from the very beginning, even if I didn't catch any of it on first read.
@@rightmunted7538 Oh no I'm aware of his importance in the story, don't get me wrong. I like that he plays a much more vital role than you initially think, and I even like his design and how he's sort of a pallete swap of Kaneki by the time they fight. It just feels like he's not present enough in the wider story to earn being the main focus in the later half of :Re, and I found the attempt at making you sympathise with him kinda pitiful. Oh you just want to live a normal life? Oh boo hoo. Yeah it's not like you just killed thousands or anything lmao.

THIS WAS AMAZING! Tokyo Ghoul:RE is so rarely talked about that I was very surprised to see this come up in the competition. And not only was the source material selection phenomenal, the editing on this work (which must have taken hours upon hours) is absolutely mindblowing. This piece truly feels like a professional music video.
I felt so honored to be sitting there and seeing this gorgeous representation of one of my favourite mangas of all time. Thank you for making this!

I remember when you commented on my ginga edit that you had started an edit to a death stranding soundtrack song. I had wondered what it was throughout the years and if it was a forgotten project by now. Well I finally got an answer! What an amazing quality editing! TG:re is even a manga I did read quite far years back, so it was even more great knowing the material. Again, great work!
