A great amv for a touching story ! Dabi realized quite early he wasn't born out of his parent's love, but was created for the sole reason to fulfill his father's dream. And that didn't even bother him at first, as long as his dad cared for him that's all he needed. Endeavor's dream became his own, as he was born into it, born because of it, and raised into it before he even got to meet people, make friends and discover the world outside of heroics. Then it got stripped away from him, by the person that was the center of his existence and that had given him that specific purpose in the first place. For Toya, not being able to carry out his dad's goal, it meant more than just losing a carrier path or a hobby, or a childhood dream. It meant losing the only reason his parents had wanted him for, and thus, his only reason to exist, and his only chance to get love from parents who only got together through an arranged mariage to create the perfect tool. At this point he was desperate to be acknowledged as anything other than a failure...but while Endeavor never called him one, he definitely treated him like one. And actions speak louder than words.

I truly can understand Touya's pain. To be born not out of love, but out of expectations and selfish dreams. My mother has mentally abused me for years now and my grandmother views me as nothing more than a failure with no value. Not that it hurts me anymore though, I buried down my emotions so I could survive. Truly, it hurts to be let down by those you're supposed to look to for guidance and advice. I only have four "friends" and I only have four genuine relationships. My father, My grandfather, A close friend, and a rather special person(formerly). They all understand me for what I am, a monster created that can't control their emotions, their bottled up rage, their careless nature. Everyone else just calls me an emo or the average little depressed boy. No one else understands what it's like to hardly be capable of even crying or feeling the slightest bit of joy. Again I still don't give a shit, but I thought I might as well share my pain, even if no one else gives a shit. Honestly, it's gotten to the point of Sociopathy(ASPD). I can be very violent when provoked(which can be very easy), I have the heaviest disregard for everyone unless it's the very few I care about, I view just about everyone as a pawn I can use for personal gain. It doesn't matter now though, I am what I am, and if you can't accept that well tough shit, and if you have anything rude to say go for it, just means your like everyone else. Oh, and I can't care enough to respond to any of you that actually care for monsters like me.

For years I cursed this world and my existence but what I can tell you is that it does get better eventually. But only if you decide to take active steps in making your life better. You are all the things that are wrong with you, it's not your past, or your family or all the shitty things that happened to you when you were a kid, it's you. But that also means that you are the only person who can change you for the better. Start for example by searching for your main cause of distress, you can do that by going to a therapist or talking to a close friend. And when you found the thing that makes you so miserable try to change it or try to accept yourself for all your flaws and imperfections. You are human, you are alive and healthy, you got a bright future ahead of you, don't let a temporary situation ruin the rest of your life. Now you can do so much, start working out or going to the gym, get stronger every day, show everyone who you are and prove them wrong. Stand up. And do something. Don't wait for happiness to come, get out there and make it happen! I really advice you to read "The subtle art of not giving a fuck" it's a great self help book who will completely change your perspective on life. Well first of all this song fits Dabi perfectly,his past is hard and literally can't be forgotten and forgiven,he stole my heart bcs I have same thing with my family. Expectations,getting stabed in the back by the ones I thought would support me,no one giving a damn thing about me,literally I love Dabi for being like that. Shoto almost ended up the same way going the same path as him but Deku saved him at sport festival,and after that he got help by others. Dabi is a character that represents lonely wolf that got dismissed by his own blood,his own family,he truly wanted to prove that he is not a failure but his father thought that. So like yeah,I really love Dabi and edit and everything is just perfect.
Wish anime makers looked to vids like this and made these stories more touching. U actually made Dabis story more touching than it was executed in the anime. Gj man.

I mean tbh you are excused. When I made this I was still an edgy teenager with daddy issues myself so there was a lot of personal touch from me in this amv. I don't like my hero academia either and the fanbase is a big part of that but I just found Dabi as a character really interesting as there were also some parts i could heavily relate to in this stage of my life.
